Have five months later before seeing who will be the US president, will Donald Trump as candidate president support with bitcoin win the election or Joe Biden have try thousand way to attack Trump get win. Currently Donald Trump faced many cases and Joe Biden take advantage of his power as president to make several cases face by Donald Trump.

Biden has nothing to do with the criminal cases against Trump.

Trump paid off two porn stars before the election, which was illegal. That is why he was convicted, not because of anything Biden did.

Trump tried to overthrow the US government after he lost the election, causing a massive attack on our Capitol. That is why he was indicted for that, not  because of anything Biden did.

Trump tried to force personnel in Georgia to throw out lawful votes for his opponent in the 2020 election. That is why he was indicted for that, not  because of anything Biden did.

Trump willfully took massive amounts of classified documents to his home and placed them in dangerous areas, severely damaging the security of the United States. That is why he was indicted for that, not  because of anything Biden did.

Trump is a criminal. A real, live, criminal. The implications of the US electing a criminal as its president are... staggering. It will send financial markets into turmoil because no investor will be able to trust the USA anymore with their money.

@Marvell1. Similar to what I have mentioned before, the people behind the Trump administration will only prove to become procrypto if they begin doing these 4 items.

1. They will stop their cases against Uniswap and Coinbase.
2. The SEC will create clear guidelines in what is an illegal security and what is a commodity.
3. They create new KYC rules because their old rules have been difficult for the people in the cryptospace.
4. They stop treating the Tornado Cash founders and other developers of privacy software very much like criminals.

There is an election on November. We cannot trust a politician's every word during the campaign hehehehe.
Still too long with the election of Unite State president on November but must appreciated with Donald Trump support bitcoin although recent price of bitcoin not increasing pump drastically. Four points above are most important if Donald Trump win the election and give easily regulation for bitcoin in the future or five years later when becoming US president.
Recently cryptocurrency problem with SEC regulation and most cryptocurrency project become dead coins after investigating by SEC Commission, if Donald Trump become president he has full controlling with SEC Commission and never make cryptocurrency as their against for the future.

2: It's literally their job now. How they are going to make it more clearer? You are hinting that there's an easy way for something as complex securities laws?
3: You mean FinCEN specifically? How are old rules difficult? That's literally just proof of identity and income.
4: I am not sure if they are prepared to tear up current world wide AML regulations. I am sure that trump would love to hide more of his money though.

And don't forget that current framework for crypto regulations were accepted during 2019 when Trump was in office.

I don't know any crypto investors who hate Trump and support Biden, but I thought you might know about the news that the Winklevoss twins donated $2 million to Mr. Trump's election campaign.
Do you think the first bitcoin investors were stupid to support Mr. Trump? Do you think they don't know what he did in the past with bitcoin? But why do they still support him and not Biden? They are investors from the US market and I believe they understand what is happening there better than us.

They also gave reasons why they supported Mr. Trump and not Biden on their X account, I think you should take the time to read to understand better why they decided to support Mr. Trump.
Just because people hate both parties, they might vote for lesser evil. And if you have at all read let's say r/cryptocurrency, or even this forum, there are lots of people loathing Trump. And i would say that in r/cryptocurrency, majority seems to NOT be on trump's side.

Understanding why rich people support Trump is easy. Rich people want less regulations to keep on enriching themselves, no matter the cost to working / poor class and their safety.
But as a counter offer, i am using your words in equally condescending way: I think you need to take the time to read to understand better my last sentence, that you just responded to.

And for sure, Trump won't give a crap how much energy bitcoin is using, or how much pollution comes from it, or how it effects global warming, so that's technically good for PoW industry, but depending what's the situation in congress and Trump is not planning to be a dictator this time around, there's only so much he can do. But yeah, he definitely tries to be a dictator, and there are ton of people preparing the way for it. And don't believe for a second he would accept mixers or blanket privacy any more than biden. Not that he would understand that how anything blockchain related works.

I feel like i have to state the obvious: Just because someone is rich, it doesn't correlate with their intellect nor with their ability to understand how causality or their governments works. I am guessing, but angle of Winklevoss is definitely is hoping for less regulations.

It appears that after having Larry Fink as the new mayor of bitcoin we might have a president of America that will be supporting bitcoin if Trump gets the victory on November hehehe. This is certainly shocking and very unexpected. I did not know bitcoin and the cryptospace would bring him much votes because why is he doing this if this is not a trick for bitcoiners to vote him?

Former United States President Donald Trump and the leading Republican candidate for November’s election appears to be warming toward Bitcoin  BTC +1.25% , having been critical of cryptocurrencies in the past.

In January, Trump said he'll “never allow” central bank digital currency issuance in the U.S. if elected. “Such a currency would give the federal government, our federal government, absolute control over your money… They could take your money and you wouldn’t even know it was gone,” he warned at the time.

In a recent town hall on Fox News, alongside South Carolina Senator Tim Scott, Trump was asked if the next logical step was for him to embrace Bitcoin, given that it’s decentralized, the government can't get its hands on it and all the young people who are particularly interested in it, host Laura Ingraham suggested.

“I always liked one currency. I call it a currency. I like the dollar, but a lot of people are doing it [Bitcoin] and frankly, it's taken on a life of its own,” Trump replied. “You probably have to do some regulation, as you know, but many people are embracing it. And more and more, I'm seeing people wanting to pay Bitcoin, and you're seeing something that's interesting, so I can live with it one way or the other.”

Trump + Bitcoin = Keeping cryptocurrencies great lmao Trump’s stance is bullish af. I love it honestly, when you can’t beat ‘em join em! Trump just recognized the winning side in his scenario and that is obviously Bitcoin long term and outlasting every other fiat and vastly growing in value against them!

In 2019, when he was president, he expressed his dislike and lack of interest in bitcoin, many investors believe that he is an outdated old man who hinders the world's development and says many bad things about him. But in 2024, he changed his opinion on bitcoin and supported it, but they also said he was lying and untrustworthy…It shows that they are always hostile towards him no matter what he does, and they don't even give him the right to change his opinion, LOL. I don't know where they get the authority to ban someone from changing opinion about bitcoin.

After all, the words of politicians cannot be trusted until they deliver on their promises. But at least we are seeing a presidential candidate openly support cryptocurrency and this is unprecedented in US election history. So that's worth noting for bitcoin investors like us.

@legendbtc. Agreed. This is reality. The politicians you elect do not care about you. They serve the real rulers of the country, the people who control much of the wealth. These politicians' mission is to get more wealth for themselves and less for you.

In any case, on Trump. If he will win on November, it will only be the fault of the Biden administration because they might not have done very well in running the country. People would never cheer for Trump if they liked the present administration.

All I see here is organised crime.  Reprehensible people manipulating the system to keep themselves wealthy and in power.

.

But that's how politics works, Trump and his supporters all have their own purposes and interests behind it, and Biden is no different from Trump because they are both politicians. If you support Biden, you will find Trump and his supporters stupid and brain dead. But on the other hand, Mr. Trump's supporters also have similar thoughts about Mr. Biden's supporters. It can be seen that we are all just puppets helping them achieve their goals, nothing more and nothing less.

And honestly, the bitcoin and crypto community has been divided over politics and that shouldn't be the case, but unfortunately, we're still caught up in a fight that's not ours.

A procrypto president cannot control the price of the market, I reckon. It will certainly be bullish, however, the type of bullishness that it will bring is we can be quite certain that the types of people similar to uncle Gary who impose regulation through enforcement tactics will stop their biased behavior and treat the cryptospace more fairly. This will also certainly make the cryptospace easy to use for the community instead of criminalising people.

On Winklevoss' declared support for Donald Trump, this is something similar to the other donations to other politicians. Sam Bankman Fried gave big political donations also hehehehe. We can wish that it might help bitcoin but these donations might only help the donator hehe.

On the bull run there will be quite a few good positive impulses for price growth, I think the election period will either give this impulse or push up the growth that has already begun. I noted that this should be very good for the crypt, I really want to believe that Bitcoin, after the sideways trend in which it is currently located, will go up and at this time the long-awaited bull run will begin. And of course, one person will not be able to influence the price of Bitcoin in any way, even if it is the president.

Yep, SBF and his FTX are things that destroy the market for Bitcoin. When consumer investors here that insider criminals like SBF or the Winklevosses or Trump are involved in some investment instrument, most of them get the hell out of there. That's what happened when FTX failed.

That's what will happen again and again if Trump is elected.

While it's encouraging to see someone like Trump embrace NFT, Bitcoin, and cryptocurrencies in general, he is still a politician, and this may be one of his team's tactics to collect money for his campaign and aid in his victory.
What I'm trying to convey is that I won't put much faith in what he says at this point because his actual behavior is still unclear.

Trump's NFT collection, and ETH holdings tells us he's deep into the crypto craze. His latest remarks expressing his supports towards Bitcoin just tells us that (even if it's meant to attract crypto voters). Biden is now considering accepting crypto donations in an effort to mimic Trump. He doesn't want to lose the elections, after all.

With crypto becoming popular each day, politicians better embrace the revolution or get left behind in the dust. I wonder if a bullish US President will propel market prices all the way to the moon? We'll only know after Trump is re-elected (and promises are kept). Regardless, BTC will do fine thanks to the way it was designed. Cheesy

It seems like he's using Bitcoin to get more votes. But this is also giving Bitcoin more visibility, which is a big plus.

If its about visibility, it's Bitcoin that is given trump the visibility here and not the other way round. Do you know that almost everyone around the globe now know and understand the use of Bitcoin most especially people that can access the internet, since people that hold Bitcoin want good adoption of Bitcoin, it will helps send a message that there is a person that cares about Bitcoin that want it grow but this are election promises that would end only as campaign promises, nothing will be actualize.

Don't forget that Biden is also trying to regulate the entire crypto market and since many investors doesn't like it as it will kill the objective of crypto, it will be an advantage if Trump promise to do the opposite and support Bitcoin and return, the entire crypto will think that Trump is the only candidate that cares about Bitcoin and hence he will have their votes. This is what they called smart moves in politics.

Im not totally on board with this.  No doubt Bitcoin has high name recognition online, but that doesnt mean people really grasp it or actual use it regularly.  Sure, a lot of people who use the internet have heard of Bitcoin, but how many can explain how it works or use it to buy stuff with it?

And while some politicians may talk about crypto when campaigning to seem hip, but lawmaking creeps along sluggishly.  Though the bright side is, the more crypto gets discussed and understood by ordinary folks the more it will become part of our day-to-day.

I doubt that's the case, cryptocurrencies might have been branded as some right wing thing, but there are loads of people holding cryptos that absolutely loath Trump, that are against MAGA movement and rise of their Christo-fascism.

And while many of them don't see Biden as a better candinate, they would probably donate for a squirrel if that squirrel had a change to beat trump.

The politician's need to do something in the cryptospace for attention might be spreading.

The investment thrust Velodrome—a relatively unknown cryptocurrency
That sounds more like a quick pump and dump attempt to make some money. Specially since the target is an utterly useless shittoken that nobody has heard of.

That's not a good thing they're doing either because it only attracts more dump gamblers to the cryptospace that will only increase the volatility and the pump and dump scams.

I disagree. This action by the honorable congressman is certainly not for a pump and dump to collect quick money. This is only for attention and to make him appear to be a very agreeable politician for the cryptospace community. He also chose Velodrome which appears to be a community full of younger people heheheh.
