While it's encouraging to see someone like Trump embrace NFT, Bitcoin, and cryptocurrencies in general, he is still a politician, and this may be one of his team's tactics to collect money for his campaign and aid in his victory.
What I'm trying to convey is that I won't put much faith in what he says at this point because his actual behavior is still unclear.

But Biden's camp is not supported by the crypto community as he is fighting against cryptocurrencies through the SEC.

I doubt that's the case, cryptocurrencies might have been branded as some right wing thing, but there are loads of people holding cryptos that absolutely loath Trump, that are against MAGA movement and rise of their Christo-fascism.

And while many of them don't see Biden as a better candinate, they would probably donate for a squirrel if that squirrel had a change to beat trump.

And don't forget that current framework for crypto regulations were accepted during 2019 when Trump was in office.

Would he lie to us now again and would he use his other branches of his government to lie to us? Here's his latest psyop lies uncovered few days ago just as a reminder how trustworthy he is:

Quote from: reuters news
In 2019, Trump authorized the Central Intelligence Agency to launch a clandestine campaign on Chinese social media aimed at turning public opinion in China against its government, Reuters reported in March. As part of that effort, a small group of operatives used bogus online identities to spread disparaging narratives about Xi Jinping’s government.

The investment thrust Velodrome—a relatively unknown cryptocurrency
That sounds more like a quick pump and dump attempt to make some money. Specially since the target is an utterly useless shittoken that nobody has heard of.

That's not a good thing they're doing either because it only attracts more dump gamblers to the cryptospace that will only increase the volatility and the pump and dump scams.

Anybody who thinks it's a good thing to see sitting US politicians speculating on odd crypto projects is being very foolish.

Many in Congress are calling for all members to be banned from making investments in anything unless it's a blind trust where they can't know about specific investments.

But this falls in line with my prediction if Trump gets elected: he's going to figure out that pumping his own coin as president (while banning Bitcoin and others) will make himself the richest person in the world. Good luck staying in the crypto business if that happens...

his 2017 like kind exchange law started off the 2018 bear market. 📉 i’m sure his new laws will set btc backwards bigly.

The politician's need to do something in the cryptospace for attention might be spreading.

It appears that this might have been the most strangest occurrence that we might witness a politician will do in the cryptospace. I am shaking my head again very vigorously because I cannot believe this. How did this old boomer discover Velodrome? I speculate that this might be his son deciding what to invest with this congressman's $15k hehehehehe.

In a move sparking curiosity well beyond political circles, U.S. Congressman Mike Collins (R-Georgia) disclosed a recent purchase of $15,000 worth of a cryptocurrency called Velodrome.

The investment thrust Velodrome—a relatively unknown cryptocurrency with a market capitalization of around $150 million—into the spotlight. The project's VELO token is currently trading up about 15% over 24 hours at 0.1169, according to CoinGecko.

Unlike established players like Bitcoin or Ethereum, Velodrome caters to a specific niche within the cryptocurrency world: decentralized finance (DeFi) on layer-2 networks.

Because Trump saw that it works, since there is a fairly large number of voters loyal to cryptocurrencies. He has a good team, and they work not only in this direction, they touch on a lot of important issues for Americans, but what we most notice is his loyalty to Bitcoin and to cryptocurrencies in general, because we pay more attention to it. I just want to say that you shouldn’t think about what Trump will do after the elections for the adoption of crypto, his main task is to win the elections, everything that happens next is a completely different story. )

Trump is not stupid. He knows crypto is a hot topic ever since BTC rose all the way to glory. The revolution can't be ignored no matter how hard governments try. Politicians now realize they need to join forces with the crypto industry or be prepared to lose their career for good.

I sure hope Donald Trump doesn't forget about BTC, the same way Javier Milei did after he rose to power. Otherwise, crypto supporters will choose a presidential candidate from another party by 2028. Politicians who're friendly to crypto will stay in power for good. America needs crypto more than ever. It's what will move the economy in the future. El Salvador, UAE, and Hong Kong embraced Bitcoin. Why can't the US do the same? If regulations get tougher, the country will be left behind in the dust. As simple as that. Cheesy

I very much agree to much of the new speculations on Trump and the cryptospace. There are many people who are bullish and there are some people who are more cautious. I certainly think that we should be more cautious. Politicians always have an agenda. The agenda on acceptance of the cryptospace presently is to collect more votes. However, if Trump supports and fulfills all of his promises during the campaign, what is his real agenda behind this?

So far, no other presidential candidate has shown huge support for Bitcoin and crypto as Donald Trump. His remarks could help him win the favor of crypto voters. It will be his second (and last) term if re-elected. If promises are kept, the Republican party could win the White House again by 2028.

Democrats better get their act together by embracing the revolution (not working against it). Because of the current administration's "heavy-handed" regulations, the US is one step behind other countries like the UAE, Hong Kong, and El Salvador. It will be left behind in the dust. We'll see what happens after Election Day. Grin

If you watch Donald Trump words in this campaign period very well, you will know that he will going to do what he is promising the people of US, when he win the election November which BTC and crypto users will going to enjoy his tenure.

Just look at Donald Trump first tenure he rule the government and Joe Biden first tenure, you will know that he will going to improve the US economy, BTC and crypto users will have freedom in the country if Donald Trump become the president of US.

Like what El Salvador president is doing right now in his country, do you think the people of El Salvador will not going to vote massively to their president if he courtesy for any position in their country? BTC and crypto users will going to vote for anyone that made BTC and crypto legal in their country, which Donald Trump will surely receive support from crypto users in that US.

To be fair, no one knows exactly what's going on, whether Trump has actually changed his views, and whether his support for cryptocurrencies is genuine or just a ploy to get more votes. But what we need to admit is that he is the first US presidential candidate who is very bullish about cryptocurrencies.
Trump once again affirmed his support for cryptocurrencies.

As for the Democratic Party, I believe that they will not sit idly by and lose potential voters of the cryptocurrency market to Mr. Trump, and as I know, they are also planning to accept monetary donations electronic. But Biden's camp is not supported by the crypto community as he is fighting against cryptocurrencies through the SEC. Let's wait and see what they will do next to change the situation.

I was a bit surprised to see that Trump is becoming more and more likely to be our next President. I’ve been adding to my betting position for Trump to win the next election but when I started I was getting 2:1 odds and now I’m only getting 1.6:1 odds. Mainstream media might be saying Biden has a chance, but the casinos don’t seem to be telling that story.

The prediction market on Trump vs. Biden in Polymarket will give you better odds. They are giving bettors $75.44 for each $100 bet. I reckon that this is similar to 1.75 odds if this was offered in sportsbooks.

https://polymarket.com/event/presidential-election-winner-2024?tid=1718433972934

Also, it appears that this election might be something similar to Trump vs. Hillary where the mainstream news media outlets were reporting that Hillary's victory was a certainty, however yes, everyone witnessed president Trump. The sportsbooks might have also made a mistake and gave him the odds of 3.00, I reckon.

We do not support anyone because we are not from America and American politics does not have any connection or help with our country. Not to mention, American politics is just a mess and a farce when a candidate is charged with a crime, while the current president's son has just been convicted and faces 25 years in prison. What we care about is cryptocurrency, how cryptocurrency becomes more popular and developed, we are not interested in your country's politics.

The difference is that Biden is supporting law and order by accepting the jury's verdict, and Trump is attacking law and order by threatening judges, juries and prosecutors with retaliation and violence.

Just like Mr. Biden is trying to against cryptocurrencies and bitcoin, it has unintentionally pushed crypto lovers into Trump supporters.

Biden is not against cryptocurrencies and Bitcoin. That's political nonsense invented by the opposition.

Bitcoin went up 500% under president Biden.
I disagree with you, bitcoin has increased because of the bitcoin market procession, supply and demand, halving is also a factor why bitcoin continues to increase, biden just hides it, maybe he doesn't ban out loud in your ears about bitcoin but he approves of regulations that have restrictions with the blockchain world.

Bitcoin has been around for 14-15 years and has increased millions of percent while Biden has not even finished his 4 year term as president, it is ridiculous to say that bitcoin price has increased because of Biden.

()

So Bitcoin went up 500% under Biden, but Biden mysteriously worked to make Bitcoin go down in price somehow, even though nobody knows how.

It sounds like you are simply in favor of Trump winning for... other reasons besides Bitcoin Smiley.

Also, regulated markets are safe markets that investors can invest in confidently. That's why Bitcoin is helped by a president who is not a convicted criminal and is dedicated to law and order like Biden is.

If you want more companies like FTX to come along--and drop the price of Bitcoin by 80%--then by all means vote for the president who would support criminals like SBF.

I'm not taking sides even though my opinion seems to be in favor of one of them but it's not the case, I just assume from what I see and pay attention to the development, it's precisely you who seems to favor one of the two parties.

That's exactly right, BTC users and or those active in the blockchain industry will definitely support people who support the industry, this is the same as others when one candidate supports the development of oil or whatever people who are in that field will definitely support it, and of course the bitcoin community will support it logically, just like the elections in my country too, where one of them supports bitcoin, most people who are active in this industry strongly support presidential candidates who offer it to their people.

Maybe it could be wrong, but I feel that he is much more stupid than the Arkham team who discovered it, for the problem of investing memecoin in his wallet, it doesn't mean he bought it, it could be that the developer of memecoin gave it to him after knowing that Trump had his own crypto wallet, and didn't Trump open Donations from bitcoin traffic for his political expenses? it can be confirmed.

Indeed that's how politics is, they can talk sweet today not necessarily when they get their seats, I really feel doubtful about the possibility, but if this is true it will have an impact on broader developments if Trump really supports the community after winning the election.

It's simple, Trump is ready to say anything just to win the election, now he calls himself the crypto president, but as soon as he achieves his goal, everything will immediately change. Look at Miley, what is he doing after winning the elections? Yes, that’s right, all politicians are the same, they are only interested in power, and after a difficult election period, they only think about the fact that they should rest, and that they will have several years to remain in their post as president.

Yes we have to look at this further and how the impact will be, everything is still foggy and unclear even though he supports today not necessarily if he is elected he will do it, we still need to question his seriousness about how bitcoin or the crypto market in his eyes, because if true this will be a very big trigger for the future.
