The Ukrainians have control over only 50% of the city center, although they have captured most of the suburbs and the neighboring villages. A few days ago, I thought that after the capture of Krasnyi Liman, Slavyansk will be the next city to fall. But the rebels have surprised me with their resistance, especially the Strelkovtsev. Some 500 rebel fighters are still there in the city center, surrounded by some 10,000 troops.
BTW.... it is advantage Ukrainian Army. They are in control of the nearby Karachun hill, an elevated location. Very significant.

Nope. Putin has refused to support the rebels, and they have lost major cities such as Slavyansk and Kramatorsk, as well as the port city of Mariupol recently.

Nithior is a propaganda errand boy & you see in his comments the basic outline of his mission order : when any point is made that improves the image of the Novorussian rebels, do these (basic propaganda techniques, btw,):
1) insult to lessen the impact (when I first posted here that I am rooting for the rebels because I can understand how they felt to be trapped with the poor Ukrainians when they can see their Russian brothers, separated by just a border, are now the richest country in Europe & they have to suffer the Africa level poverty in Ukraine (World Bank, GDP-PPP of Russia $3.4 trillion vs. Germany's $3.3 trillion) , Nithior immediately went to attack me that what I wrote was "propaganda". So a reader who innocently posts here will be attacked immediately by an undercover propaganda errand boy just to make sure that the positive effects of the innocent comments will be countered, as instructed by his mission order (or he will not get his allowance?)
2) grab the high moral high horse & act mightier than everybody else to make their opinions lesser than yours so invalidating their positive effect. Just read the quotes with 24crypto above to illustrate this point. That's why he always mention things like "URSS", "commie" & "Siberia" & he even had the chutzpah to pretend to appear classy. Coming from Rumania, a poor country no matter how you look at it (I've gone there, I found the Hungarian-developed cities like Temesvar (Timisoara to Rumanian) & Nagyvarad (Oradea to Romanians) beautiful but the Rumanian cities including Bucharest were ugly & poor. I think it's obvious American (or WEstern ) propaganda has not been very effective. Spiegel, the neocon paper in Germany, admitted as much that Russian propaganda has won in the Ukrainian crisis. I guess, after the lie of the fake weapon of mass destruction in Iraq & fake poison gas in Syria, it has exhausted its credibility & everybody is just too tired with it already. The fact that the majority in the WEstern world are complaining now of being in financial dire straits have sapped their capacity to be fooled by the usual propaganda techniques. The American press is composed mostly of newspapers tottering into bankruptcy (so more malleable from the powers that be) & in a poll, only 25% of American believe what they read in the news. So they outsource the propaganda work now in poor East European states because they are easier to dazzle there, just the illusion of being associated with former rich, now poor Westerners, will gladden their simple sucker hearts?
Siberia, btw, is far richer than Romania, & you see richer more modern cities there than Bucharest (Yekaterinburg, Novosobirsk, Chelyabinsk, Tyumen, among many others).

Russian flag is often displayed by rebels so that doesn't really mean anything. And it's not on the tanks but trucks. Finally, tanks in your video look a lot like T-80UD, which is used by Ukrainian army. To be honest, this whole story about Russian tanks in Ukraine sounds like cheap propagandistic crap.
