Why not? There could be people who has a lot of money just gambling to have some fun and be entertained? I know, this is going to be debatable as there could be gamblers who is looking to make money out of it and so no one can blame them for that. So it's really up to the individual whether they gamble for fun or for the money. The only thing is that there could be more players that really looks to make a profit or at least free money.

This I have to disagree though, it seems that you are comparing gambling to bring money for you like a job or investment. It is not, gambling is about the unknown and there are no mitigation here, unless you quit early with money on your hand. As compare to a job or investment or business, you have total control of it, there could be risk, but you can have a better plan on how to tackle it.

There are different outlooks on how people should view gambling and go into it.

If you want to gamble for fun don't responsibly. If you want to gamble for profit , don't it responsibly. Moderation is the what everyone who gamble should strike for. There must be a balance. When you miss this, you begin to have all sorts of issues with gambling which affects your life at the long run.

There's life beyond gambling. When you start seeing gambling as the main activity that must be carried out everyday, then you should take some time off.

Whether it’s for fun or money, or better yet both, it’s still a lot important to never see gambling as a source of your living. That is a very dangerous mindset. Get a stable job, and just gamble whenever you have free time to do it. That way, it will serve its purpose, you’ll get entertained because you are not pressured to make money, but you are gambling to have fun, and of course to make money that comes as a bonus.

Always gamble what you can afford to lose and with limitations in terms of amounts regardless your intentions. Your suggestion is good but it does not mean gamblers should follow it especially those high rollers where it is really fun to gamble regardless the bet amount, where lossing even with huge amount does not mean anything to them. But its different if we're talking to those normal average gamblers.

Gambling can be more fun and fulfilling if you are also making money as well, that’s why a lot of gamblers are trying harder to create good returns, than just risking their funds and all they get is just leisure. However, we should not make it as a priority, but rather just do it when you have spare time and money to spend, or else you will fall on its trap and make your finances poorer, while making the casino richer and happier.

OMG, I don't know how you define gambling but you seem misleading about the nature of gambling.

Honestly, I'm a part of the people who always state that gambling is ideally for fun only. This is also a personal opinion, nothing wrong with this. This even reminds everyone to not gamble excessively because it is for fun only. What's wrong with this?

Anyway, gambling isn't a proper place if you expect for high returns (profits). Learn again how high the chance to win in gambling!! You must understand that it mostly relies on the luck. How we can expect for the regular returns with this fact? IMO, gambling is only a place to try your luck..

Even as it is considered as fun, that does not mean people dont want to make money from it. Just that it is programed in a way you hardly win a decent amount, that's why it is considered fun.

The reason why gambling can not be classified in that aspect, simply because it's not like normal business where you go to the market and buy goods and hoping to sell and make profit. Here you are buying a market that has no guarantee of return . And any amount you invest is likely to lose so it's actually not a profitable business to start with, that is why it is called fun. Because since you can't win anytime and anyhow then it becomes fun.
