Because there is no way you will buy goods as a business man and not expect profit so gambling should be seen as something that will be beneficial to the gambler financially as it's more like an investment
Wait a minute, are you rating gambling with goods, no mate, gambling is risk and doesn't have a valuable asset to hold other than the odds you held as a stake, in business you acquire goods that have material value, so get that clear, gambling can mean different things for different people, but those that take gambling as a means to make money in the form of profits, have been ruined over many times which is why we constantly advice against such approach to gambling. Taking gambling as fun and taking gambling as a means of making money have come to stay but it all depends on the risk each of us can bear at each point in time.

Gamble responsibly
Just think of 'gamble for fun and not a way of making money' as something like an idiom. It means you should be careful of your money while gambling. It means you should gamble responsibly. It means you should not look for money while gambling as it draws most gamblers into gambling addiction.

A Lot of people are of the idea that gambling is something that is used as a leisure or having fun with as they consider gambling to be more of entertainment but personally I disagree with such theories because looking critically at the question on ground anything that you can invest your hard earned money into should not be seen as just leisure but is something that can bring back return on investment so gambling should be seen from the point of view of making money

Because there is no way you will buy goods as a business man and not expect profit so gambling should be seen as something that will be beneficial to the gambler financially as it's more like an investment
