Really, but that would mean the windows wallet hasn't been updated since 29th August 2013?

We have a new client available based on 0.8.5 bitcoin but we are waiting to sign off on it since we haven't merged-mined a block yet with bitcoin... the BitParking admin (doublec) hasn't got back to me and HunterBunter's pool doesn't have enough hash to mine a block in a timely manor... so we wait.

In progress https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.5106734

Edit: kochmann They're paid out direct on generation, not collated through a 'foundation' (like mining through doing other stuff than mining) http://devtome.com/doku.php?id=devtome_earnings_for_the_layperson

That's 4 shares, not 4 times. Devcoin blocks are 50k. Minus mining 10% is 45k. For that round one share = 180m/1588 = 113,350. So over the period of payout you'll get 4 * 113.35k (the 453.8k you reference) total paid out in denominations of 45k (mostly 45k, there may also be smaller denominations as required to split blocks between recipients).

[/quote]

ah okay. because i expected the 113.35k on that block ^^'

Hey guys, quick Devtome related question.

I was wondering one thing about the payouts. Because according to http://dvccountdown.blisteringdevelopers.com/ (same nick so you can see the stats) for round 32 I should be getting 453,800 DVC in total. The receiver files for this round tell me I'll be payed 4 times but for my first payout I received 45,000.

So I'm slightly confused if I'm getting 453k DVC or 180k..

Have a nice day fellow Devcoiners!

Hey guys. Some of you may already know me some of you may not.

I have been buying and HODLing DVC for a while and am now done buying at the moment. I love this coin and what it represents and will be here with this coin till the end.

My question to you guys is:

what is your thoughts regarding the new coin EMC2 (Einsteinium)?

It is going to help the science world just like DVC helps fund open source work around the world.

here is a link to the thread : https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/annemc2-einsteinium-funding-the-future-with-the-future-of-currency-494708

Please share your ideas, thoughts and concerns about this coin as I look up to many people on this thread and would love to hear what you guys think.

Thanks.

Its interesting but its assumed value will ways go up.. what happens to miners if value crashes.. they stop mining? With dvc we get mining from bitcoin and its free essentially.. we are using more of that mining to support any development work rather than just science so its more broad.. in the future imagine that many open source businesses or portals thru which profit is created
yet providing service fight for devcoin shares.. with 2% of
1 coin hard to give incentive to fight for that.. you need tangible amounts of coins dispursed to create real demand.

Thanks for your point of view. I'd still like to hear what some others here think about EMC2
I'm not a sciencist, I'm a developer and a writer, with Devcoin I'm feeling the freedom of do everything I want/enjoy and be payed for it, at same time I'm contributing in some way to create a better world following the things I think are better without a votation system and without being a scientific man.
The share part is the way Devcoin beats your coin.

Wo wo wo there, beats my coin? This was not a competition, I was just asking for your thoughts. Thank you for them.

Hey devcoin members,
Does anyone know who is running the devcoin Instagram page? I really would like to know if I could and see if I can try and get more devcoin investors/ devtome writers and anyone that devcoin could use through Instagram but I will need the account if possible. I remember seeing a post a while back about someone making it but I recently checked in on it and it has not gained any traction. So if you are currently in possession of the account and could PM me if you want it to shift ownership that would be great, if not thats fine also but let me know what I can do to help it gain traction.
Thanks,
-AM

May I suggest a bounty for a devcoin tip bot on bitcointalk?  That would be very useful, and devcoins are an appropriate coin to tip for a constructive post.

For example, we could quote a post and type

/devtip 100

and 100 coins would be sent to the poster.

Please propose this to dvc forum coinzen.org... this isnt suitable here.

Yep, official bounty thread is here:
