can i get a full list of devtome admins pls??

I am getting requests for users who are saying they are / have been admins and they can no longer do the work they need to do.  Would just like clarity befor making people devtome admins.  If there an official place for this list?

Many thanks

Hey,

You don't earn marketing shares until you have a least one share earned per each round.  Hope this helps.

Oh, ok!

Thank you.

On the DVCCOUNTDOWN website, I still have 0 shares, even though I have the signature, which is 0.2 shares.  I haven't written 1000 words yet, but shouldn't marketing be counted?

Thanks

Did you just add the signature? Also try PMing Unthinkingbit or some of the other people who are in control of devtome and devcoin.

I did, it's just that there is a character limit!  So if you are a low rank, you can't have long signatures!   Angry

I notice that the number of Devtome contributors has shot up by 40 over the last month. With this new influx of content, is any additional help needed to review and categorize articles and the like? If so I'd be happy to help out. I have very much enjoyed contributing content for Devtome over the last two rounds, and I'd like to be able to do more to contribute to the community.

Same with me; I would be happy to help out as well!

If there is a need for categorizing or rating I would also love to help out as well, also if there is anything other than that I could do to help promote devtome and devcoin I would love to as well.

I didnt incorporate new functionality at all. The major point in that development besides the documentation, is the integration of a chain directly with the legal and decentral system (since more then 150 years) of Switzerland.
The charity function of glaricoin should go directly to that legal entity only.

We have by now just chains with various features of code, but not real legal entities that back chains by real world functions.
The legal entity will be a cooperative, (basicaly many of the major players in Switzerland are cooperatives) what alllows this way the direct exchange to fiat money or precious metals.
A functional blockchain currency is by definition a cooperative. Not all necessarily democratic and inclusive, but existing on the basis of cooperation rather than force.

Do you have any documentation or a link outlining how the swiss government (central or local) and/or legal system will incorporate or even consider your chain under different term to others.  I looked for more information but couldn’t find any.

I don’t know enough about the swiss system to give any informed opinion. But as far as I know, isn’t switzerland already considering designating cryptos as foreign currencies, which would offer all of them the same new legal and exchange status you're talking about? I'm then also still not getting how designating a crypto under a formal, regulated and central umbrella adds anything to or supports open source development.

There wasnt any documentation for the merged mining it was used from namecoin.. but the other stuff like reciever file stuff is nicely documented by utb.
Ok, fair enough. But your update development process is still open source and visible. The value of what you're doing is in the progress and effort, as well as the end product. The code is available for anyone else to potentially build upon - devcoin, bitcoin, namecoin, i0coin etc.

But if, say, weisoq - a relative tech ignoramus here - was to work through a lazy idiot's guide to pre-existing cloning that would not warrant my inclusion as an open source developer. Instead it means I'm able to read and follow instructions. If I was able to translate all of your efforts into a simple copy/paste howto, it still doesn't make me an open source developer. It means I can read and write, and that's what devtome is for.

If icoin has incorporated newer functionality and features that's great, and would amount to something different. But I haven't been able to find any further information on glaricoin.

How does donating solve this? There is no output or return from donation unless its more structured and you havent described it yet.

You badly miss the point here, this is about the documentation for adding various features to abccoin, what was used by shakezula for the howto. I guess abccoin is a good 0.8.x basis for coding all kind of coins. What devtome does miss actualy are the howto's.

Personaly i see many guys creating coins, so it would be great to provide them good documentation.
Instead of deleting articles on devtome we should expand them, dnt you mean?
If I'm missing the point, that's because you haven't explained it.

From what I understand of what you've said, you've used Shak's guide to clone a coin and you want to add merge mining to it. Sidhujag is updating that process with newer codebase so already has rolling documentation, and UTB has already documented the initial devcoin basics done by him and markm.

So that leaves a process of cloning a clone, which is what I'm referring to as not progression in terms of open source development.

If I'm missing your new features and developments that would warrant new documentation and support then please explain it. I don't know the 'deleting articles' refers to.

Developers wanted for glaricoin https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/ann-glc-glaricoin-start-465311

Merged Mining capability
Charity Function (11%)

The coin is build on ABCcoin described here: http://devtome.com/doku.php?id=sha256_altcoin_cloning_guide&s[]=clone

To make it avalable to all comunity the procedure for both functions should be documented on devtome.

Thank you
Seems pointless https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.4511087

Not realy, orgcoin is not switzerland related like glaricoin is, but download the glaricoin-qt client and you will understand Smiley Anyway we got the offer from unthinkingbit that every developer that furfills one of the above tasks, will be supported as developer by devcoin.

Unthinkingbit please confirm.
I'm not swiss. And there doesn't seem to be anything open source developery about just replicating shakezula's howto process and asking for devs to (I assume) work out the merged mined bit.

Hello, since I've been recently spending a lot of time on Coinzen, I may have missed some bounties.  Was anything proposed or claimed?

Thanks
smeagol

Not that I know of, the one we were talkin gabout was from before the migration... I think you must have forgotten about it. It was previously in limbo aswell because it wasn't captured when it was first posted... once we have a better way to report/admin/display bounties it will probably be better.
