well, thanks.

So devtome is often attacked by bots... ever tried using cloudflare or something similar?

most of the rest that you said I have no idea what it means... but I am eager to learn... is this the usual devcoin-talk? lol

devcoin-talk - possibly Smiley. Sorry the rest was in reply to Dinkleberg/others a few posts up - just me trying to be efficient and achieving confusion.

what's with the devtome site, I often get this error:

Error 508.  Resource Limit Is Reached

Who is the admin of this site?

Even the link you just provided gives this error:

edit... it seems to work now again. Maybe the server needs some upgrading?
0.3 It's currently being worked on by sidhujag according to posts a page/two back, otherwise updates to be done over christmas with group and core funding: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/devcoindvc-source-code-updated-to-bitcoin-08x-310280

On devtome, the site's registation was previously hit heavily by bots so that option was closed off down to focus on enquiry-based signups. Since then there are intermittent attacks by somebody who seems to have a problem with it: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.3690655 https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.3927234

Dinkleberg: 31st Dec. More info on payments on the statistics page: http://devtome.com/doku.php?id=devtome_stats

Countdown clock - all it needs is a spreadsheet link, could probably just be added to smeagols dvc price site:
Using an old start point for calc: In A1 enter '12/05/2013  21:50:00' (date formatted, this is GMT for ref if want to be specific). In A2 enter current DVC Block. In A3 (also date formatted as above) type =A1+((120000-89150)/((A2-89150)/(NOW()-A1))). Right now that gives 31/12/2013 10:24 GMT

well, thanks.

..
10 minutes per block, times 2186 remaining, equal 21860 minutes, divided by 60 = 364 hours, 20 minutes, divided by 24 equals about 15 days 3.5 hours.

So about 15 days 3.5 hours, and then payouts start, but the DVC will be paid out over multiple days.

A round countdown clock might be nice, if anyone could do that (ETA to end of round)

Sounds good, about 18 shares for that. Any objections?

Payout is on block 120000, and we're at block 117814 now. Any estimate date on when we'll reach block 120000? I also read the dvc will be paid out over multiple days (a month?), so will it be from when we reach block  120000 and then a month, or will it be from block 120000 untill round 31 ?

Is there a script which generates a file with total earnings for marketing, writing, admin, and bounties?
Some info here: http://devtome.com/doku.php?id=devcoin#generating_the_files

Are there not ATMs in Canada? Ask to the society owing them to implement Devcoin on their ATMs. Grin
Tourism iin Canada is going to increase a lot.  Grin Maybe ... an annual devcoin meeting in Canada as well.

I live there so I can talk to them they buy from robocode and it costs 20k$ last I checked for theirs cause I wanted to buy. It would have to be open source to claim the bounty so none of these existing platforms will switch to non commercial. It would have to be implemented from scratch no?

For this bounty, the ATM can be closed source, the first step is to get a devcoin ATM.

In a month, if devcoins keep their newfound value, we'll make a bounty for an open source ATM, provisionally this bounty would be 192 shares. Devcoins are currently worth around 0.13 cents, if devcoin stays above 0.05 cents for a month, then we'll make 192 share bounties for huge projects.

Also, I suggest that whoever convinces an existing ATM maker to add devcoin, in turn gets 12 shares. Any objections ?

+ 1

I have send the guys from safello a email, maybe they will respond, i hope there will be more people trying to contact ATM builders, because it is not About the first but About getting a bigger chance for succes if we work together

Hi everyone, I'm a big believer (and a large investor) in Devcoin and I would like to do what I can to help it succeed. I've seen a lot of complaints about the web site - I've been a professional web designer and technical writer for over 13 years now and I would be more than happy to work on the site free of charge.

Just wanted to check in with the community first in case someone is already working on it. If not, I would start by quickly taking the content that's there now and placing it into a much more visually appealing template. I'm a big fan of jQuery and Bootstrap so it wouldn't even take me a day to just start by taking what we have and making it look way better! After that I'd be happy to edit the copy and continue to build on the site in the future.

Just let me know if you are interested  Smiley

this must put a lot of guys off...

Absolutely... I am starting to wonder if that's the reason why DVC price stayed so low for such a long time...

now that price is rising, it looks ridiculous to have a wallet like that. Website at devcoin.org is also partially not working, as I mentioned here:

https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.3949363

and it's been like that for weeks...

why?

why must devcoin wallet look so different than any other wallet I have ever installed?

What kind of version of qt is this?

or isn't it at all?

I'm with you buddy,i want to get a wallet but have no idea which one to get,got coins burning a hole in exchange and want them out

You could run the daemon with command line... but don't know if you can handle this.

It's how I do this for now.
