Because of the long run of the bear market, I think ETH price will break 2000 USD within the next 5 years. If bitcoin price surpasses 30K USD then ETH can break 2K USD, though that will be tough for ETH, Because there is not price ratio between bitcoin and Ethereum anymore. In January we saw If bitcoin price breaks 10K-12K USD, ETH price was 800-900 USD. But Now, Ethereum price is very low. So, if the bull run happens in this year, Then still ETH can't surpass 500 USD, 2K USD is far away for Ethereum. This is my opinion.
I want ETH to go up just to be able to sell it, I don't see it overcoming the competition

I think ethereum will reach $2000 price in year 2020 it's only my prediction because now we can't see any move up because of bearish market it's hard to say that ethereum will be higher this year or next year. But we still hoping that ethereum be back on track again.
This will happen if people understand that ETH is a store of value! Usually this situation is one of the conditions for a high valuation.

I think that distance will come fast at the end of this year. ETH will create shock to our community. And then i think the Bitcoin price will be at $ 40,000.

It depends from a ton of parameters. For example bitcoin domination will not let ethereum to grow so fast. Last winter with 800b$ cap we got only 1300_1400$ for one Eth and the BTC domination was at around 38-40%. At the current domination to hit 2000 for Eth cap should be more that one trillion.
this is a very difficult question and nobody can answer this question correctly. we all can only speculate a little about how the price will develop in the next months. but i don't think we will reach this $2000 in 2018. maybe in the next 2-3 years.

Although yesterday ETH has a very big wave and prices are recovering. But i believe in ETH and think it will reach $ 2,000 by the end of 2018. Because i think there is a group of people buying ETH should push prices down.
