The hustle and bustle of bad news has made most investors choose to leave the market. Although there are some of which are still active, maybe they use it only with the HOLD method, not buy. So as long as the ETH user doesn't contribute to the growth of the ETH value, it looks like $ 2.000 is a target which is difficult to achieve especially this year 2018 and in the months before January 2019.
I'd leave that possibility for now. Who knows when eth will evem get back to 500 usd. But it could also be bitcoin'17 if it does make a run and the whales decide on it. But i don't think it's likely.
you need to wait for next year, this price this year, it just does not break, but next year may surprise us pleasantly
Prices now is unpredictable we know ethereum has a strong potential but it takes time/years to reach $2,000 but not this year maybe in future we'll see the price after 2 yrs or more.
If bitcoin can make it back to 10K I think ETH can go up and reaches that price.

Yes, this is a very real scenario, which is sure to come true in the next few years, and possibly in early 2019.
In my opinion, Ethereum will reach the cost of 2000$ not earlier than 2020, since in the trend from 2015 it is not so much and has grown in price.
Based on this course, talk about a jump of ten times is not necessary. First, you should wait for a stable growth, and only then think about the sharp jumps.

I think so, really not this year. In the next, most likely it will cost 2000$. And if there is a sharp jump, then even more.

I think we can wait for at least 5 years to see this price because the current ETH price is $ 278 and we need a lot of investment to be able to reach the $ 2000 figure. Personally I'm not sure what will happen next but I'm sure Cryptocurrency will be a new trend for all major investors around the world. When do you think Eth will break $2,000?
Since entire market is moving on move of BTC, so for ETH to get to $2000, BTC must be above $30k or so. And for that to happen, entire market cap of crypto space need to be in trillions of dollars. It's a really tough task giving the current condition of the market. I would say we won't see $2k price of ETH till end of 2020, maybe by end of 2021 ETH will make a high of $2k but not before that.

I would expect this to happen in 2019. It doesn't look so likely now for the current year - we're more than halfway through, and still recovering from the big dip that started in January.
