Of course it’s not impossible for Arsenal to win Newcastle especially after the massive win against Manchester City their spirit will high and will be at full strength to face Newcastle and try to level the goal aggregate and try to win the game but we all know how good Newcastle are when playing against a top team.
We are past half way into the game and Arsenal have already conceded two goals already making it 4-0 on aggregate, it’s a disappointing performance from Arsenal and I don’t think they will be able to make it to the final again. Surely it’s the end of the road for Arsenal and I know the fans will be disappointed and frustrated with Arteta for this inconsistent performance.
Congratulations to Newcastle, they're going to the Wembley.

It is funny how these football results are happening unexpectedly against our predictions. With the overwhelming 5:1 victory Arsenal had over Manchester city  fans would have assumed that Arsenal will have this game as a walk in the park but unfortunately Newcastle united are the ones taking the lead with a 2:0  scoreline even after having a 2 goal deficit advantage over Arsenal in the first leg.

It's shocking to know that Arsenal hopes on getting to the finals of the EFL cup has come to a halt tonight by Newcastle reducing their chances of lifting a trophy this season with just the EPL and UCL competitions left to their hopes which isn't all that feasible.

The fact that Arsenal defeated City by 5 goals made me see Arsenal as the favorite for a match, but they could not even find a proper position on the field.
Newcastle literally built a wall and denied Arsenal passage.
I don't know if Newcastle will win the cup with this football. They have never won this cup before, but they held one end of it with their victory tonight.
Their follow-ups will be announced tomorrow.
Newcastle is a team that is at odds with the teams at the top, and they do this by playing defensively and hitting their opponents with counter-attacks. It was the same tonight, the first goal was a counter attack goal.

That tells you the strength of Newcastle United. I watched the game and am like, “ is this the same team that played Manchester City “… like these are the same boys but, they were completely overwhelmed by Newcastle United. Newcastle didn’t let their midfield have most of the ball nor did they allow them create anything in the attack. Arsenal underperformed really badly in this game and both home and away, they couldn’t make out a goal. This explains why trophies stay clear of them.

Nothing is guaranteed. The English care about this cup. Every team wants to win it. Newcastle United wanted to win it as much as Arsenal and they showed that by beating Arsenal in two games. They were the better side. No one should be surprised if Tottenham reach the final tomorrow as well. Now Arsenal need to go back to the league, they have that. The points difference is not much.
I don't understand why this cup has single matches and only the semi finals are double matches. It would make more sense to make every match a single match, or make them all double matches. I guess they don't prefer that because it would take too long.

Nothing is still impossible in the game of soccer if Newcastle can win Arsenal 2-0 in their first leg Arsenal can possibly win Newcastle with 2 goals or more that is football or Newcastle can still at same time win Arsenal to make home and away defeat.
I believe you that nothing is impossible in football, but for Arsenal at this point, I think it is too late because to score four goals will be very hard even though it is possible within short period of time in some circumstances.
Newcastle United already finished the game in the first leg since they were able to score two goals at the emirate stadium and deny Arsenal a goal at home; and today, they have already scored two goals and they are still in control of the game.

All I have to say as an Arsenal fan is congratulations to them, indeed Arsenal is Eliminated, I just hope we can focus on the Premier League and the Champions League because if we end this season without a trophy, Arteta might get sacked, and Arsenal fans will not be happy as well.
It can only be impossible after full-time which is what we are seeing now at this point Arsenal has nothing to do because it is already 4-0 aggregate which means that Arsenal has finally be eliminated by Newcastle United in the caraboa cup semi final, Newcastle has finally book a spot at the Wembley stadium for the caraboa cup final, Newcastle has been a stubborn team from time as they already finished this work in the first leg of the game when they defeated Arsenal 2-0 at the Emirates stadium.
Focusing on the premier league I hope it's just to maintain the top 4 spot because if it is winning the English premier league is impossible for Arsenal this season same thing also in the UEFA Champions league I think the caraboa cup is the only trophy they would have try so hard to win but is unfortunate they have been eliminated by Newcastle United with a 4-0 aggregate.

Don't forget that football is always unpredictable, Arsenal might probably win Newcastle united tonight. because considering Newcastle united poor performance now I think Arsenal stand in a better chance of winning the game, although the goal margin is quite high, but their recent form against Manchester city was quite impressive, so with that I think everything is possible to happen when it comes to football.
How will Arsenal get a win against Newcastle when the match is already about to end? Newcastle were able to secure 2 goals in the first leg of the match played, and currently they are playing 2-0, before Arsenal gets a win, they will have to score five goals, which is just impossible. Arsenal's performance has been good, and they played well against Manchester City, but they can’t just win against Newcastle.

Arsenal are out of the EFL; what Arsenal should focus on is just the Champions League and Premier League, which I don’t even think Arsenal will be able to win any of the leagues that I mentioned above. Liverpool is in the first position on the Premier League table. It’s going to be difficult for Arsenal to take the first position from Liverpool, and when it comes to the Champions League, I feel there are other clubs that are just better than Arsenal, so maybe there won’t be any trophy for Arsenal this season.

The match is getting to an end, and currently, Newcastle is leading by two goals. It is not a surprise to me that Newcastle is still winning the game because I was not expecting Arsenal to win. From the first leg, I knew that Arsenal would find it difficult to qualify.

What is painful about this ongoing match is that Newcastle beat Arsenal in the first leg and is now trying to beat them in the second leg again. It's really bad for their records. If Arsenal does not qualify in this game, I was at least expecting them to win it, even by one goal. But now, Newcastle has scored two goals, while Arsenal has not been able to score even one.

Despite Arsenal's strong defensive line, Newcastle always manages to break through and score anytime they need to recently. One of the main reasons I don't like betting on Arsenal matches is their inconsistency. For instance, after they won against Manchester City with many goals, I was expecting them to play today's match with the same spirit of winning.

As much as we would like to entertain that idea of an Arsenal win not being impossible, I don’t see a way given how the game has been played where, Arsenal would win this game and even get to qualify from this round. Arsenal have played a horrible football all game and the Newcastle defense have been doing a great job in hodling off any attack from the team. The most they could hope to do some damages from is the Nwaneri crosses which, is mostly intercepted. Newcastle is a difficult team to clamp down on.

It will very difficult for Arsenal to qualify in this game to proceed to final ...
It will be very difficult but not an impossible performance that Arsenal can put up. Newcastle is not an easy team, but with the mentality from just defeating a heavy weight like Manchester City, Arsenal can possibly push through. Maybe the arsenal coach should consider the same lineup that played against Manchester City because they did so well controlling the game from the beginning and pressed well also when they were not with the ball. This is another challenge for Arsenal, another opportunity for them to show their mentality as a team.

Beating Man City is not a guarantee is it? Now Arsenal are 1 goal behind which means the aggregate goal is 3-0 it is difficult for Arsenal to equalize this aggregate maybe this team will end up in the semifinals.
Although there is still a long time in the second half, but we know Newcastle is not an easy opponent sometimes it becomes difficult for Arsenal to win.

After humiliate Manchester City with huge scores Arsenal come to Newcastle home ground with high confidence Arteta said he is very confident Arsenal will be able to make up 3 goal deficit before reach to the final and the starting lineup hasn't published it yet but based on Arteta statement i will assume Arsenal will play with all of their key players today

Newcastle in the comfortable position because in the first leg they have already to win with the scores 2-0 and for this match all they have to do is attempt to not lost with 2 goals margin or more and if possible get draw result from this match but Eddie Howe has been confirmed Newcastle will not play defence

Based on the odds i have seen Arsenal is the favourite with odds @1.86 and my prediction is Arsenal will be the winner of this match but i highly doubt Arsenal can won with 3 goals margin or more because Newcastle is hard to beated at their home ground and i think the final scores 2-1 or 2-0 for Arsenal

Arsenal need to get a win in this game no matter what, that if they take this game as serious as the game against Man City, we know how these guys handle their business while the fans expect them to show 100% dominance in the game you'd see them not giving their 100% effort and is frustrating to support these guys sometimes. The manager is certain that they can get something in this game but we shouldn't forget that they are 2 goals down already, I wonder if they can bring that spirit they used against City or is it because is the Citizens they're playing against 🤔?
Newcastle don't need to do much in this game and I believe them because they only know how to frustrate these big teams and it will happen as the Gunners will be playing under pressure just to stay on top of this game. About the odds I can't really use that to say the Gunners are the favorite and checking the odd it has dropped all in favor of the Gunners but can they act as the favorite?

Arsenal can still turn things around no doubt but football is not the way you think that Arsenal won Manchester City in last English premier league game doesn't mean they can they can also win Newcastle United with thesame line up it could be that Newcastle may not play the thesame way Manchester City did that made Arsenal to humiliate them and Arsenal may not possible play same thing they did against Manchester City.

Basically losing 2-0 in the first leg made it difficult for Arsenal to be able to turn things around in the second leg which will actually be played at St. James' Park (Newcastle's home). Indeed, previously Arsenal won very impressively because they managed to beat Manchester City with a big score. But anyway, at the same time Manchester City also did not have a stable performance at this moment, so it might not be a guarantee that Arsenal will be able to beat Newcastle with a big score also in the EFL Cup.

After all, Newcastle who will play at home will certainly maximize to maintain the 2-0 victory that was obtained in the first leg. But yes, if Arsenal manages to win in 90 minutes with the same score 0-2,  then the match  will continue to extra time or until a penalty shootout. If so, then Arsenal may still have a very good chance of qualifying for the final match if only to target a score of 2-0 in 90 minutes, of course to determine the winner until the penalty shootout.

They'll want to correct their mistake even though it would come with much difficulties, Arsenal really looked down on Newcastle in their previous encounter forgetting they're a strong Premier League team with good attacking mindset players, it's not going to be easy to score 2 plus goals at St James park but the gunners are in a good form, after winning the Champions of the previous season with 5 goals I think qualifying for the finals is possible.

Anyways the bookie might want to favour Arsenal cause of their recent performance but Newcastle got the home advantage, all Arsenal needs to do is try scoring as much goals as possible and avoid conceding cause if Newcastle score first then Arsenal's journey in the Caraboa Cup would be over and they'll be left with the Premier League and Champions League to win a trophy this season.

Hot take:

Arsenal won't make it to the EFL cup final. I'm fully aware that Arsenal is in a terrific form right now but going back to beat Newcastle tomorrow will be an overstretch imo. Newcastle is in form but they lost their last game on Saturday. Even with that in mind, I still think the window for Arsenal to scale through is tight and expect them to fail.

Who are Y'all backing tomorrow? For Thursday, obviously backing Liverpool because "it's just another anfield night".

Of course Liverpool may likely win Tottenham Hotspur in that game, because looking at their present performances now I think Liverpool remains the favorite to win the game.

We have to understand that league games are always different from EFL cup hence you can not relate what is happening in the league to what is happening in the EFL cup, perhaps most of the time the coaches prefer not making of use of their best players while playing in the EFL cup, and the players can as well put more of their best performance in the league than in the EFL cup. However, the two matches are quite interesting it deciding on who is to win the match can be very difficult for me must say that over 2.5 goals in both matches wouldn't be a bad idea as a gambler rather than focusing on who to win.

If I was asked this question before the game against Manchester City at the weekend, I'd have probably concluded that Newcastle United is going to scale through to the finals. But seeing how Arsenal played against City and the scoreline, I think anything can happen. They know pretty much what the stakes are and they can overturn the two goals deficit if they give it their best shot. So I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

The last time both clubs meet, it was very disappointing for Arsenal cause they lost at home to Newcastle with a 0-2 defeat and it was so unpredictable cause Arsenal where favorites to win. Well, after the Victory in the EFL match with Manchester City one can tell that they're in a good form but Newcastle have made it tough for Arsenal to qualify for the finals by being 2 goals ahead. Arsenal would need to score about 2 gosls and more  and try to be very good defensively to avoid conceding, that might be a little difficult since Newcastle got a very smart attacker thats good at finding the back of the net, it would be tough to keep Isak from scoring. Liverpool on the other hand could upgrade to the finals it's not going to be quite difficult to score about 2 goals, am expecting another impressive performance from Mo Salah he's the star player for Liverpool  and could help them to get into the finals.
It will very difficult for Arsenal to qualify in this game to proceed to final Newcastle is a in a better position to qualify here due to their first leg 2-0 defeat against Arsenal, though Newcastle has never won this competition before all Newcastle me to advance to the caraboa cup finals is draw or a one goal margin defeat to book their self to the final at Wembley stadium, Arsenal has also desplay wonderfully in their last premier league game against Manchester City where they won with 4 goals margin I believe they will put every effort to win Newcastle in this game where Arsenal can only advance to the final is when they will win Newcastle with a 3 goal margin but I don't think Newcastle will allow such well football can be unpredictable anything can happen it is the final whistle that will determine who will advance to the final of the caraboa cup.
