Arsenal won't make it to the EFL cup final. I'm fully aware that Arsenal is in a terrific form right now but going back to beat Newcastle tomorrow will be an overstretch imo. Newcastle is in form but they lost their last game on Saturday. Even with that in mind, I still think the window for Arsenal to scale through is tight and expect them to fail.

Who are Y'all backing tomorrow? For Thursday, obviously backing Liverpool because "it's just another anfield night".

When Arsenal lost the first leg of the game to Newcastle, I said the same thing you did: it was a huge disgrace for Arsenal to lose at home by two goals, and they could struggle to equalize in Newcastle's home field in the second match. However, considering Arsenal's current performance, I believe they have a chance to equalize the two goals suffered in the first leg against Newcastle. Newcastle's performance against Arsenal may be determined by their previous game, so losing to Arsenal should not come as a surprise.

Of course, we will all support Liverpool tomorrow against Tottenham, despite the bad result in the first leg. Liverpool cannot be so weak to suffer a second defeat to Tottenham in the Carabao Cup. I will not back Liverpool to win alone; instead, I will bet on them to beat Tottenham with a lot of goals since Tottenham is now suffering with several injured players, and I don't see how they can stand any pressure from Liverpool.

Don't think that Newcastle is a small club that Arsenal will defeat with such number of goals that Arsenal need for them to qualify to the finals. Newcastle is super-hot, and I am no expecting anything less from them than qualifying to the finals tonight. City is not as strong as Newcastle, and you shouldn't use Arsenal performance in their last match to have hope on Arsenal in this game.
The match is definitely going to be tough for Arsenal. After losing 2-0 to Newcastle in the semi-final leg 1, Arsenal will have to score 3 more goals to reach the final. That is, they will have to keep a 3-point gap with Newcastle to win the match. Even if they can score more than 2 goals, they will be able to draw the match and they will have to ensure the final result of the match through the Tribeca. A match with such a big gap against Newcastle that will not be easy for Arsenal at all. If you think Newcastle is a weak team, then you are wrong, because they are already in the semi-finals of the EFL and they are ahead by 2 goals in the leg 1. I think they are a worthy team to play the final.

Don't forget that football is always unpredictable, Arsenal might probably win Newcastle united tonight. because considering Newcastle united poor performance now I think Arsenal stand in a better chance of winning the game, although the goal margin is quite high, but their recent form against Manchester city was quite impressive, so with that I think everything is possible to happen when it comes to football.

Of course Liverpool may likely win Tottenham Hotspur in that game, because looking at their present performances now I think Liverpool remains the favorite to win the game.

The last time both clubs meet, it was very disappointing for Arsenal cause they lost at home to Newcastle with a 0-2 defeat and it was so unpredictable cause Arsenal where favorites to win. Well, after the Victory in the EFL match with Manchester City one can tell that they're in a good form but Newcastle have made it tough for Arsenal to qualify for the finals by being 2 goals ahead. Arsenal would need to score about 2 gosls and more  and try to be very good defensively to avoid conceding, that might be a little difficult since Newcastle got a very smart attacker thats good at finding the back of the net, it would be tough to keep Isak from scoring. Liverpool on the other hand could upgrade to the finals it's not going to be quite difficult to score about 2 goals, am expecting another impressive performance from Mo Salah he's the star player for Liverpool  and could help them to get into the finals.

Arsenal performance yesterday against Manchester city in the premier league was quite interesting, it was really unbelievable the goal margin was very high. To be honest I couldn't believe that Arsenal would be able to secured the three points against Manchester city in that game, due to their poor performance although Manchester city is also not doing well so I was seeing the match as draw game but I was very surprised when I saw 5-1 full time.

However, with this incredible performance of Arsenal yesterday I think they might likely win Newcastle united in this their second leg, because though Newcastle united performance now is not that good as before again they are just struggling, so with that I think Arsenal stand in a better chance of winning the game.
No one also expect Newcastle United gonna beat Arsenal because both of them are in good form.

I predict Arsenal will win, but it's questionable whether they can beat Newcastle with big margin or not, it's rare to see Newcastle lost with big margin against Arsenal. 3 goals difference is tough, at least Arsenal should get 2 goals difference and make it to penalty.

If Saka was available I'm convinced Arsenal will continue to final.

The last loses from Arsenal in all competition was happened on Carabao Cup from Newcastle few month ago but since that match Arsenal still unbeated i think this is showing Arsenal in the positive condition and few days ago on Champion league Arsenal can able to finish at top 8 because from the last match of group phase at that time Arsenal can beat Girona and in Premier league yesterday Arsenal has just humiliate Manchester City i think this record is proven Arsenal is in the good shape

For Newcastle they have dissapointing result from Fulham and few weeks ago Newcastle even have to lost from Bournemouth with huge scores which i think they are still unable to playing consistency so from the recent performance certainly Arsenal is much better than Newcastle but this match will be helded at Newcastle home ground which i think it's hard to beat Newcastle at there however win with 3 goals margin actually not impossible for Arsenal as long as they can play like when they beat Mancester City

If they are eliminated from all competitions then there are only the Premier League and also the UCL which are the places for Arsenal to be able to perform optimally because in both competitions it has shown that Arsenal is able to compete and play quite well, for the time being in both competitions Arsenal is still ranked 3rd.
Newcastle only needs to play it safe by holding draw in the second leg match, so Newcastle will be the team that qualifies for the final and in addition for every home match they can also show fairly solid quality of play that cannot even be underestimated by anyone including big team at the same time.
Arsenal must be able to put forward their best abilities when they are guests at Newcastle's home because Arsenal has lost with a score of two goals without reply at their home in the first leg. So even though in the second leg it will be a bit difficult for Arsenal to win convincingly, of course Arsenal must be able to score three goals without reply in order to qualify for the EFL Cup final this season because Arsenal has been eliminated in the FA Cup. However, in this case I also quite agree with what you said that Newcastle only needs a draw to be able to bring themselves to the EFL final, so Newcastle will not have more pressure when hosting Arsenal in the second leg later.
Less than 2 weeks until their match will be held and seeing the results of the recent match makes it uncertain whether Arsenal will be able to complete the away match in the second leg later against Newcastle, after the 0 - 2 defeat from Newcastle made Arsenal have to get 2 draw against Manchester United in the FA Cup and draw also against Aston Villa in the Premier League.
Maybe Arsenal will not get the chance to enter the EFL Cup final this season, my prediction is that Eddie Howe will use safe playing strategy and tactics for Newcastle, he will definitely rotate the game more dominantly to strengthen the defense, this will make it difficult for Arsenal to penetrate the back line to be able to break into Newcastle goal.

It's already obvious that Newcastle united would still going to beat Arsenal in this second leg, because considering their present performance now I think Newcastle united stand in a better chance than them. And even though they have already won them 2 zero in their first leg and they are still going to play on their home ground. However, if not for Bukayo Saka injury I think the game would have been a very though one for them, because Bukayo Saka is the most powerful chance creator in Arsenal, what they are just surfering today in the premier league and other leagues is just a result of Bukayo Saka absence.

I have one thing and it is actually ruling out a club in a game of football even though I believe they aren’t up to the standards or task. Arsenal have been poor for the past few matches even when they had Saka, although I wouldn’t deny the fact that most of the defeats of recent can be avoided if they indeed have there explosive weapon like Saka, but it’s baffling that a club like Arsenal who actually were consider or consider themselves genuine tittle contenders cannot actually compete without one player missing from there squad. The last time they hard Odegaard out they struggled, now with Saka out they are struggling again. This is isn’t befitting for them.

This game against Newcastle is seriously going to be entertaining because we all saw how Newcastle who were almost unbeaten for like 6 games now were humbled by Bournemouth, Arsenal might be looking at games like this as motivation going into the second leg of these game. This will also be a big morale checker for Newcastle because they seriously needs to bounce back from such an embarrassing defeat to not throway the lead in this tie

Of course bukayo saka is missed a lot by arsenal, he is one of the most players in England this season that have created so many chances. Saka always have a huge impact in arsenal matches, and just like you said if he was available then probably the result might have been different. We all see how arsenal are even struggling in the league now, how they blew away a 2 goals lead against Aston Villa.

This is where I fault Mikel Arteta a lot, you have been in the club for over 6 years now and you have spent over $600 million since your arrival and you don’t an effective squad depth, this is what is affecting arsenal all these season. His best best player is still an Academy boy from the club then what happens to the money he have been spending. A proper striker is needed and also I think saka needs a backup in that right wing.

Newcastle will qualify that I’m very sure of, I don’t see this arsenal squad beating them, Newcastle are currently in a very good foam, and they have the best attacking line in the league for past 4 weeks. It going to be a tough one for the gunners.

I don’t even have hopes in arsenal qualifying for the final, I know it football and anything can still happen, we have seen some incredible comebacks over the years. For now Arsenal are in a very poor form and Newcastle have been in their best foam, if they can travel to emirates and get 2 goals, I see no reasons why they won’t get a goal or 2 at St.James park. They are not just scoring goals now but they are also defending well as well, we all saw what they did at Emirate, the block shots, the saves, they low blocks too.

In the second leg I still see Newcastle beating arsenal, Arsenal have been struggling in front of goal since the absence of Abuja to Saka. Most times it their defenders that end up scoring for them. Newcastle will give everything to protect their lead and hit Arsenal on counter attack.

Newcastle is the favorite to be in the finals, because they are in a good form and stronger than Arsenal currently. I don't expect any miracle from Arsenal players because for them to qualify to the finals, they need to win this match with three goals which is impossible, because Newcastle will not sit down and watch them score all those goals. Newcastle might be the winner of this season EFL cup.

Arsenal after suffering that shocking defeat at home to Newcastle last week in the first leg of their semi final tie in the EFL Caraboa Cup was again knocked out of the English FA Cup competition yesterday by Manchester United and after watching that game, I concluded that there was no way Arsenal are going to overturn that 2:0 deficit when they visit St James Park for the second and last leg of that tie. Mikel Arteta seems to be clueless on what to do at the moment and improve the performance of his side which is why I think Newcastle will utilize that to protect their 2:0 lead and progress to the finals of the competition

Advantage Newcastle, it ended 0-2 in favour of the visitors. Arsenal played well but couldn't create chances for themselves to score, this match proves once again that you can play good and still lose when you don't create chances and make good use of them. Newcastle are one foot into the Carabao finals as we await the second leg in a week or two weeks time.

Guys this is the EFL Cup thread not FA Cup. I guess you didn't notice so I just wanted to indicate that. We are in the second legs of the semi final phase in the EFL Cup now and there is a break nearly around a month for the matches.

Newcastle and Tottenham gained important advantages of course. While Newcastle are having a good season I don't expect them to lose the 2-0 advantage easily. Smiley But for the other matchup I can say Liverpool still have a big chance to come back.

Very impressive performance from Leicester against QPR, they showed superiority over their ex championship competitors in an eight goal thrilled game. Leicester will now advance to the fourth round of the FA cup giving them a chance to battle for the trophy and record a good and successful season. Hopefully this performance level will be replicated when they face Crystal Palace in their next EPL game on the 15th of January.
