I wasn't surprised by the scoreline in Leicester game. As a Premier League side Leicester City was expected to dominate a lower tier team. Leicester City clinical performance showcased their professionalism and ability to capitalize on their superiority but also serve as a reminder that complacency can be costly in football whether it is in Cup matches or League matches.
Really, it came as a shock for me because I know how Leicester have been struggling in the Premier league but at the same time, playing against QPR should have been a walk in the park being that they (QPR ) don't have what it takes to match Leicester's force. I just knew they will steal the show the moment the goals passed three from Leicester.

The last time Tottenham won the trophy in this competition was in 2008 at that time the competition named Carling Cup and if i am not mistaken this is the last trophy which Tottenham get because after this trophy Tottenham never won a trophy in any championship and actually their journey a bit closer rather than Liverpool this because on the first leg Tottenham can beat Liverpool with narrow score

Everybody know Spurs seems to be cursed although they had several times reach to the final matches on different competitions but Tottenham always be failed to win at the final match this thing also makes Harry Kane leave them because seems if he stayed much longer at Tottenham he possibly will ended his career without trophies

Tottenham has 1-0 aggregate and all they have to do is not lost from Liverpool in the second leg later but Anfield is one of the most dangerous place in England and Liverpool has playing fantastic everytime play at this place moreover Liverpool is defending champion so Liverpool too had an ambition want to defend their title in this competition

One could thought that arsenal would have overwhelmed Newcastle in that game but it turned out to be otherwise, in this game Arsenal played like a youth team, I never expected Arsenal to perform that low against Newcastle despite the fact that they have performed better than Newcastle this season and they had the home advantage which was one of the reason that made everyone considered them to be favourites in that tie, the return leg will be coming up soon  but i don't expect Arsenal to come back because they already wasted their own chance of getting ahead and do not seem as if they can find their way back so I will tip Newcastle to go all the way.
Two big team suffered defeat in the first leg match, Liverpool lost 1 - 0 away to Tottenham but there is chance in the second leg for Liverpool to avenge their defeat by winning big, they are strong team and can always end home games well.
Meanwhile, Arsenal themselves I are still very doubtful whether they can avenge their defeat and surpass Newcastle advantage which currently has an aggregate of 2 points, the second leg match will take place next month and for now the 4 team in the semifinals will focus first on the Premier League competition.
Yea Liverpool appears to have the squad it takes to get back on Tottenham Hotspur in the second leg when they meet but that notwithstanding, I wouldn't completely give-up on Tottenham not to put up to the challenge and perhaps make an upset when the time comes because this is one opportunity for Tottenham to get to play a cup final after many years and I think they will want to give it their all more than their opponent. So to me, this is what makes Tottenham appears dangerous for next game than the previous.

For Arsenal, it's hard to place any hope on what they can do or not do, especially with how they had to play against Manchester United last night in the FA Cup, where they couldn't beat a one man down Manchester United that has been inconsistent lately. It's more daring to think they can have their way against Newcastle in the second leg as they're not playing like a team that wants to win a trophy yet.

Come on guys, I think we can't doubt the ability possessed by Liverpool this season, we can see how they appear solid and have a better mentality than other teams this season, so indeed they will most likely be able to turn things around and reach the final to face the winner between arsenal and newcastle later, I personally am very confident if Liverpool can even beat Tottenham with a landslide score in the second leg especialy their will play in anfield stadium, compared to Liverpool, it looks like an exciting match will occur between arsenal and newcastle later, because arsenal must be able to catch up with 2 goals from newcastle in the match later.

Buddy let's hope Liverpool dream comes through in this one, though ordinarily Liverpool has all it takes to reach the finals and battle it with whichever team that made it to the finals with them, the second leg of the match between Liverpool and Tottenham is a home match for liverpoool so I wouldn't be surprised if Liverpool win them with high scores, Liverpool is good at home, I don't think they will take chances in that match hence they know what's at stake if the match doesnt favour them, i think they will want to do everything to win that match considering how important the match is to them, when I watch Liverpool play their games this season I somuch enjoy their pattern of football, they play with all seriousness, they don't want to take any team for granted or even underrate any team, though I felt disappointed in their encounter with Titenham where they lost 0:1 in favour of the host team but looking at the match statistics they did great even more than the the team that won but finishing was a problem for them, it's all good that there's a second leg which i believe they will win at all cost.

Advantage Newcastle, it ended 0-2 in favour of the visitors. Arsenal played well but couldn't create chances for themselves to score, this match proves once again that you can play good and still lose when you don't create chances and make good use of them. Newcastle are one foot into the Carabao finals as we await the second leg in a week or two weeks time.

In all the games played yesterday in the EFL, the scoreline that surprised me the most was the one of Leicester vs QPR. I know that when Leicester were in the championship, they were hot but I felt that coming to the Premier league and receiving some lashing from the big boys they won't be able to perform the way they did and being that QPR are pretty solid in their division, I expected a little tug of war but not so because Van Nistelrooy showed them what stuff his boys where made of and gathered the experience they have gotten in the Premier league and unleashed it on their poor visitors.
To a point, it then looked as if they were not putting much effort at goal but the ball still finds the net. It was indeed a commanding 6 -2 scoreline and that was how I expected every EPL team to perform.

Arsenal and Manchester United match remains goalless at the end of first half. Gabriel Jesus got injured after falling off B. Fernandez in a no contact activity, got replaced by Sterling. Arsenal really pressed Manchester United in the first half, but going it very hard to leverage their defense and the offside two of Manchester United is very effective and indicts the arsenal players readily.

Two Manchester United players are already on yellow card. B. Fernandez should better watch his temper or risk getting a red card in this match.

This topic is dedicated to talk about the EFL Carabao Cup matches and the teams / players involved in it, like fresy news about injuries or recruitment that directly involves that team and have an impact on the EFL Carabao Cup.
The match you are taking about is part of FA Cup which is a different competition involving gunners for sure but the way you presented your post fits better to the dedicated topic about this competition.
Thanks for understanding.

It's probably going to be a good opportunity for Liverpool to redeem themselves back into line for a trophy this season. Am sure Liverpool are going to beat Tottenham in the return leg of this game, besides they really didn't play badly in the previous encounter but they only failed to take their chances on goal which was the only mistake I saw on the side of side of Liverpool. They are a very good side with wonderful players good enough to win anywhere and in this second leg they have the home advantage which I think they are going to utilise to their own advantage.
I hope that Liverpool can turn things around for themselves in the second leg, because if they fail to outsmart Tottenham and breakthrough their defense easily for goals, it might be difficult for them to win Tottenham. However, I wouldn't use their last match to judge their performance in the second leg, because I know that they have learnt from their mistakes. Victory is expected from Liverpool.

I am not saying that Tottenham will beat Liverpool, but let’s be truthful: despite Tottenham not being in as good form as Liverpool, they can still manage to draw the game. If Tottenham come with the tactic of defending and play a defensive game against Liverpool, I can say Liverpool might score them, but the highest score would likely be one goal.

If the game ends 1–0, it will go to penalties, and anything can still happen in a penalty shootout. So, let’s just wait and see what will happen. However, if we judge based on their current performances, Liverpool have a high chance of winning the match.

Spurs are spurs, so I see us winning the reverse fixture 1-0 which would make it 1-1 on aggregate to make it go to penalties, and historically, we have been very very good at winning penalty shootouts in cup matches (I think we beat Chelsea twice, Leicester once, and some other teams as well like that).

For Arsenal it's trickier since you have Newcastle playing well and in superior form compared to the beginning of the season. This is the kind of game where they will really miss Saka.

Arsenal will be very said for their 2-0 lost against Newcastle United at the Emirates stadium Arsenal played very well had more good scoring chances but they failed to utilize their scoring opportunity while Newcastle United made very good use of their scoring opportunity to start with 1-0 lead in the first half of game a brilliant goal scored by Isak In the first half gave Newcastle a lead before another goal was also added in the early stages of the second half to make it 2-0 win against Arsenal in the first leg semi finals of the carabao cup. Arsenal crucial win by Newcastle United against Arsenal has kept Newcastle on a very big advantage to make it through to the final of the carabao cup I believe it will difficult for Arsenal to turn things around when next they visit Newcastle United for their second leg semi finals.

One thing we have always learn in football is that playing well with out scoring a goal or getting a win is totally useless because at the end what matters is who won the game.

It is a so sad for we the Arsenal fans, Arsenal conceiving two goals without reply is the most painful part of it I must say even though we were not expecting less performance from the Newcastle team but there 2- 0 winning to Arsenal is a victory I know they will celebrate much excitement, when I first saw the Newcastle first goal, I was much optimistic that Arsenal will in turn make an equalizer but I got disappointed. However, what more I can say when what happened has already happened and another bitter part of it is that which I know most gambler must have predicted the game to be both teams to score with high level of having such possible outcome, hahahaha, but yeah nothing can sure in gambling, in my final words I would say that Arsenal has lost yeah but they live to fight another day.

Of course, every trophy is very important because that is the ultimate goal of a competition, but the level of prestige varies. Now it's just one step away from the final, so every team that makes it to the semifinals has the same motivation to reach the end perfectly. Liverpool still have the second leg at Anfield, they only need one goal to level the aggregate, I think it will not be difficult for them to avenge their defeat in the first leg because they are currently in their best form.
It is very possible to expect Liverpool to win at Anfield in the second leg, especially with a fairly small aggregate, because Liverpool will definitely still play well for a trophy even though the trophy is from the EFL Cup. And because Tottenham Hotspur also haven't had many changes lately, of course it will be difficult to make Liverpool lose at home, especially if the second leg is a decisive match to enter the EFL Cup final. Obviously Liverpool will do everything to win and enter the final with pride in their current abilities.

Yes, Liverpool are in great form, and almost everyone is expecting them to win the second leg, which will be at Anfield. However, the truth is that anything can still happen. This is how people expected Liverpool to win the match even in the first leg, but surprisingly, Tottenham won.

Graham Potter began his first day as West Ham's boss with a loss when his side lost 2-1 to Aston Villa in their EFL match. The first half saw West Ham pressing Aston Villa to the point that there was no goal attempt from Unai Emery's side and I began to wonder if this is Aston Villa that would on a normal day disturb West Ham but the visitors joy was short lived after the somehow controversial goal that came from Amadou Onana in the 71st disrupted their plans and not to long after, Morgan Rogers goal to seal their win.
I'm not saying Graham's not a good coach but can he be trusted to deliver West Ham from the pit they are slowly sinking into or am I being to hasty in my judgement? Either way, the remaining games in both the EPL and other competitions West Ham finds themselves will tell.
What can I say? The ending score was a huge surprise to me because after watching the first half I concluded that Westham was going to win the game. The pressing, the defense, and the way the players were positive on the field. Well, that's football for you, the game is not always over until the final whistle is blown. Westham gave an outstanding performed but we should forget Aston Villa also played well in the first half they were only finding it difficult to get an attempt on goal due to the way Westham was defending. In the second half, Aston Villa found a huge opportunity to equalize and win the game.
That would be putting too much faith in West Ham, don't you think? Because on a normal day, West Ham haven't got what it takes to hold a goal against smaller teams much less a stubborn team like Aston Villa who will always find a way to come back. The game was a bit one sided in the first half but when the second half began, Aston Villa showed their teeth and we know how well West Ham caves when faced with that much pressure, coupled with how weak their defense is, for sure they were bound to lose their lead. And it was a slim one for that matter.

For sure it all looks like Liverpool will win at Anfield, Liverpool are in a very sole position to win but I don’t think it will be that easy for them. Tottenham have every thing to fight for in this tournament, they have been without a trophy for over 17 years now and I think this is another big opportunity for them to win something. Ange postecoglou have said in an Interview earlier this season that he always win a trophy in his second season in his managerial career. I don’t see them winning the premier league and even the Europa league but if they can go through Liverpool in the second league then it will be a big opportunity for them to win it.

Spurs might shock the whole world and beat Liverpool at Anfield in the second league, if they can get themselves an early goal at Anfield they might be able to do it. It going to be an interesting match to watch for sure and in football or anything always be scared of someone who have something to fight for, and in this case Tottenham have everything to fight for and Liverpool might be aiming more for the premiership and Europa league.

Every trophy will be a source of pride if they manage to get it but it is undeniable that not all teams will focus on minor trophies if it will only interfere with their chances of getting a bigger trophy, Liverpool's defeat in that match was a big surprise to us, but I think it's a natural thing to remember the fatigue that their players are getting at the moment after a tight schedule that they are playing, especialy, the close distance between Carabao and when they got a draw from Manchester United obviously affected their performance in the match against Tottenham, but even so, Liverpool has a great chance of making a comeback in the second leg, because so far their have often been able to perform optimally in crucial matchs, especially when playing at Anfield.

This season the schedule feels so tight, and it seems that is what makes Liverpool need to rotate the squad, so it is quite reasonable that they lost to Tottenham because they did not play with their best squad. Arne Slot dared to take the risk because there was still the second leg in February and at that time Liverpool will have the advantage as hosts.

It's a risk worth taking because if they insist on playing with the same players, fatigue and injuries could be a stumbling block for Liverpool to win trophies this season.
