If all people can use renewable energy, electric car is the best vehicle of green future. But we have to wait a long time to see that. Hope and wait.
the technology world is getting beyond our limit in this part of the world. i can not say because i have not seen one before.
I like both electric and non electric but i think that electric cars could be the future just because of being environment friendly, less costly and silent

I have a Nissan Leaf. By far the best car I have ever owned with one exception: you cannot beat a gas powered vehicle for long trips.

True, electric cars are future, with growing focus on renewals and reducing car footprints, more and more companies and individuals are investing or buying electric cars, i think in next 10 years majority of new car sales will be electric cars.
My guess is that in 30 to 40 years electric cars will be close to around half of the world total vehicles. Its safe, eco-friendly, quiet and costs around the same as normal cars. Why not like them?

For now I don't have one but I'd like the idea of electric car. Because if this is truly eliminate air pollution and reduce carbon immission its wonderful thing. Because we have to start using green energy now to avoid cathastropic disaster happen to our mother earth.
I really do think they will be the future as far as ground transportation for most of the population. Fossil fuel is going out the door, we just need to more adoption by both consumers and regulators. That's when we'll actually see the industry pick up.
There's 3 major roadblocks that electric cars need to overcome to become more common:
1) The costs need to come down so they're comparable to similar gas-powered cars
2) A full charge needs to last at least 300 miles so people can go on long-distance journeys
3) (this is the hardest one) A full charge needs to be done in 5 minutes so it's comparable to the amount of time it takes to fill up gas. I can't use a vehicle that takes 8 hours of charging to give me a full tank.
