Nothing is broken but the luck be ridinkydonk. I'm currently down to 94.5% shares rewarded in total since I started mining like four-five months ago. Was 100% sometime around the start of December, so since then the luck must have been consistently awful and we have all lost a lot of expected revenue.

mining and "unpaid balance" is not moving for hours ?!

something broken, or am i just too stupid to understand eligius stats ?

I'll advice you to just read this thread from start to finish, and you will see that people ask the same questions over and over again.

Nothing is broken.

Wow, 11,000TH at 21 hours and still no found block. Is this a new record?

It doesn't matter to me, with my mighty 140GH, but I do pity the other bigger setups.

EDIT: Heh, just popped. I wouldn't be surprised if we have awesome luck now.

It's been 7 days since I was paid  Cry

Where did all the BitCoin go from the lag Huh  Did the pool boy pocket them Huh

Eligius has the worst payout system imaginable  Angry

But you saw the "luck", right?

What luck  Huh  You're diluted if you think this pool has a statiscal advantage over any other.

I only see the bad luck of a pool that does NOT pay out  Angry

RTFM...

I have not been paid in 6 days and I'm owed B1.66. My place in the queue keeps moving backwards. It says there's 6 blocks ahead of me and then 6 blocks are found and it says there's 5 blocks ahead of me. Where did all the BTC go that are in the lag Huh The amount I'm owed keeps dropping as well.  Huh

Are you still actively mining or did you move your miners to another pool?

I have 8T mining. Eligius has the worst payout system imaginable. Why would anybody in this pool Huh

just added some hashrate here.

hello.
what's with the payout queue? seems like my payout time is getting longer and longer!?

Hey mate, all the info is in here:

http://eligius.st/~gateway/faq-page/faq-3

If the queue gets too big, whizkid generally does a manual payout.

Mines a 13 block delay which I think is the longest I've ever seen it.

cheers Biffa, I got round to finding it on my phone while the Mrs was lazing by the pool  Grin
i'm now at 12 block delay... i'm considering just going back to mmpool if WK doesn't get that queue shortened soonish.

Your position in the queue won't be moved up at all if you stop mining at Eligius.

i know that, i've mined here a few times.

If you continue mining at Eligius, you will receive full payment whenever your spot in the queue does come up.  E.g. if you have already earned 0.5 BTC as of now, and you mine 0.25 BTC worth of shares between now and the time you receive payment, you will receive payment for 0.75 BTC at that time.  Not just the 0.5 BTC that is owed to you now.

Not that anybody cares if you come or go, or decide to alternate every 2 hours between Eligius and another pool.  Just letting you know how things work.

well, mmpool has done pretty well. i'm always in eligius now anyway with some... got enough to spread a half decent variance.

Mining has been a pretty terrible investment, IMO, for a while now.  There is pretty much no hardware released in the past year or more that is expected to ever even break even.

It would be if it not for the falling price. When I ordered my miner in July I calculated that I would profit if the BTC price stayed above around $450-550 (at the time it was currently over $600 IIRC), and that still applies.

For avoiding suicidal thoughts, I still calculate with 600 US$ :-/

I've been mining for 15 months now, with a variety of equipment, currently 7 TH/s.  From a fiat perspective, at today's bitcoin prices, the total return on investment (equipment + expenses) has been -50%.  As in, if I'd put the fiat cash under a mattress and bought bitcoin with it today, I'd have twice as much bitcoin as I was able to mine.  But hindsight is always 20:20, it could have worked out just as easily the other way around.  I'm just going to hold and wait and see what happens.  I have a hard time making any argument in support of purchasing mining equipment right now, but clearly with the newly skyrocketing difficulty others are drawing different conclusions.

This fucking luck, man.. Finally get a break with no difficulty increases for a few weeks, but then all the potential gains is nullified by the extreme lack of found blocks.. And also the price keeps falling. This seals the deal, pretty sure I will never come close to returning the investment unless something drastic happens.

I'm going to need to wait until we get our more updated spam filters in place for this setup before it is enabled again.
How much time will it take(approximately)? Also what do you think of implementing the referral keys system like https://www.f2pool.com/pushtx did. You give the key to anyone who is full member and above or to anyone who you really trust. After you see some spam coming from an X referral revoke it.

I don't have a time frame ETA currently, and it's not a huge priority really.

As for f2pool-like setup, probably not worth the effort, honestly.  Really, this is a hidden unadvertised feature on Eligius anyway with no SLA or anything of the sort and was never meant to be the go-to place to push transactions.  If the main network isn't accepting your txns normally via P2P... there probably is a reason.
