I just helped translate three tutorials for EmerCoin, covering EMCSSH, EMCSSL, and a VPS setup guide. I hope people find them informative!

What is the bottom line of it?

So Emercoin is a scam coin? Because some stakeholders are able to control the markets? Well, interesting... So, what is your problem?
Did you not make profit as expected?
With a coin which was never meant to be on any exchange? Sounds a bit strange to me.

Most (or even all) cryptocurrencies are controlled by a few whales, if they ever where listed on an exchange.

So, why are you posting this?

Did you missed the start? I was able to prepare myself for the start, as it was announced a few days before the launch. No premine! This is the first block in the chain (right after the genesis block): https://emercoin.mintr.org/block/00000000cd06950728b4e60a852a2f09d564da3ee05fa69f8db9ee3d119c23c6. So the start was, a bit delayed, on 2013-12-11 9:37:14 UTC.

For me Emercoin is fully stable. Because I'm not using it as an investment!
You can get 5 DNS registrations or updates (or other entries into the blockchain) with just one EMC and this rate is not changing. So for me it's enough to own a few coins to use the services (DNS, Keyserver, Message board, EMCSSL, etc.) which are available through the blockchain.

I agree, emercoin is scam and was premained, now admins sell - dump and pump emercoins, my posts on bits.media were deleted as soon I show for society all this tricks, how they buy emercoin from yourself to make price higher that it is, also they buy for 0.0012 and and pump everyday for price was 0.001 and higher, 800% - 2000% they earn and not do anything to add their coin on other markets because they fill yourself very good, they want control the price so they dont add it

Emercoin was announced in advance. Like others, I saw this thread and mined some at the beginning.

But in any case, EmerCoin doesn't need to be seen as an investment. The main focus of EMC is the technology: Decentralized Domains accessible through OpenNIC, EMCSSL, EMCSSH, folding@home - all innovations which anyone can take advantage of, basically for free.

To EmerCoin's credit, they actively avoid a pump&dump mentality, and always focused on quality of the software and the technology.
