Sad.
There are many people who say it is easy to get a merit, but it is never easy.
It is more difficult for people who lack English.
I'll try, but I don't know.

It seems that as long as we pay to be a Copper member everything will be fine. Can´t understand how this can be considered fair.
Nothing personal just business.lol
I don't understand why affected people who was registered before this change! This should will be worked for those people who registered after this change!

Great. This creates more equity for the members. In particular, help limit posts on the forum and not lose important information

come on everyone, getting 1 merit is very easy. i wish it became 5 merits to be junior member.

Agree on disagree. And I am not talking about myself but knowing the situation of a close friend that since the rules changed a few months ago he is stucked in the same position. He is very helpfull, do a lot of posts and he can´t get any merits. Nor in his local board.
This will only put new people away. If this is what you aim on the cryptoland. Retroactive effects with new rules. Can´t understand how this can be considered fair.

It is not that easy to be a member here.I guess when it started, the system of growing was more simple and now to get merit is almost impossible.

yeah I find this true , at least for the Arabic section since it's the only local board that I visit
but also to be fair there are way less constructive topics and comments there comparing it with the English ones , not sure about other local borads but this is the case with the Arabic section
I'm still trying to make people post better there by rewarding the good topics , maybe we will start seeing better posts in local if members started to get rewarded there
It feels like merits are more common on English boards compared to local ones, so I think this change is going to have a bigger effect on local forums. Are there any statistics on what percentage of merits are given on local boards?
User Piggy has made a very good stats on this one https://albertoit.github.io/Visualization/MeritTreemap/index.html

As you can see, there are more merits sent on local boards (as a whole) than any other board ("Economy", "Other", Altcoin, etc). So I think it's the opposite, there are more merits send in local boards. But again, it depends on where your local is. Russian, Turkish, Indonesian, German are the top 4. Each board receives thousands of merit so far. There is also another local board whose total merit is still under 1K, for example, Arabian, Dutch, and Indian.

There should be more merit source to solve this problem. 120 people are definitely not enough to cover the thousands of posts made every day in this forum.

Due to excessive garbage-posting, you now need 1 merit to be a Jr Member. All existing Jr Members who didn't meet the requirement were demoted. Also, newbies can no longer set any signature or personal text.
Oh, so this is/was the reason. I've seen a lot of Newbies with more than a hundred of activities, I wonder why. Seeing this, now I know why.

In some point, maybe this is a good thing.
  • It might limit some users to create more than one dummy and join every bounty campaign they wanted to, specifically, those signature campaign that has no rank restriction.
  • Also, might help and encourage everyone to make a good and quality post, rather than bumping a thread. Wait, am I talking to myself?

Good enough!

I was shocked to see I was newbie. my signature is gone, my work is gone. Hopefully this recovers bitcointalk. I have to earn some merits as soon as possible.

Too much discussion on this new policy. Jr.Member without merit strongly protest the new requirement and the others agree. I think this new policy is reasonable because the forum will reduce the spam and virtual account farming. People will focus on quality and spam will not be welcome!

So many bounty hunters from the rank of Jr.Member are shocked at this change, which they have followed the signature program of the bounty program that has been followed from many weeks just disappeared, hopefully their stake is not lost. Now they are only looking for ways to get merit, for the sake of rising from the newbie to jr.member.
I respect this rule, so that BTT forum could be better than before

Can we maybe open up a thread with in  big "Newbie Merit Complains Thread" or something so they can Post in there and dont open up every min. a new thread about !

And the most of them realy Shit threads !

If this dont stop i start report them !

Meta has fallen  Smiley

I doubt they are going to follow that rule, every each of them want to have some visibility to get merits, still it may be worth a try. I suggest to lure them in a thread with the title FREE MERITS HERE!!!! and trap them there.
