It is a great weekend for Ajax. Because they defeated Sparta Rotterdam by 1-0. In the meantime, Feyenoord and PSV both got a draw against Twente and Heerenveen respectively. And they both couldn't win a game that they dominated fully. Because of this reason also, it is a lucky weekend for Ajax at the same time. There is still a very little gap among Ajax, PSV and Feyenoord in the league standings though. But these results helped Ajax take a deep breath at least.

I was also very surprised last night that Feyenoord and PSV have only played a draw, good for Ajax but 2 points also mean nothing, you can also quickly squander again. But Feyenoord has one game less and can fight with a victory on Wednesday to 2nd place and overtake PSV and would then be only one point behind Ajax.

Nothing to say, Ajax doing a perfect game for this week, he was created a perfect point in the champion league and also make 2 points left with the Eredivisie opponent. PSV is playing well they have 65% ball position and have 8 corner kicks but only have 1 chance of a goal. in The Uefa euro league position also has a chance defeated by the real Sociedad when he can't get a win next.

Correct and the Eredivison representatives play this year a very good round internationally in Europe, see 5 year rating.

Feyenoord was short on expectation to win over Twente, with a goalless draw and it was left below with 2 points difference from top duo - Ajax and PSV

it would be great to see interesting season with three teams fighting for the title, but I think that Ajax will clear the difference as soon as they left Champions league

today we saw 2 surprise draws from Feyenoord and PVS vs Twente and Heerenveen respectively. sunday matches were scarce for goals and this is very strange for Eredivisie.

Ajax came out on top with a narrow 0:1 win but with over 70% possession. The Feyenoord game starts soon and PSV play in the evening, they will try to keep up with Ajax, so the league will stay exciting for a long time, it's been a long time since 3 teams could fight for the title. Ajax is certainly further along in the Champions League and will probably save some energy there for the league?

Ajax have finally won the victory they wanted by 5-0 against Waalwijk today. They drew with Heracles and Go Ahead Eagles consecutively before this match. They needed to gather themselves up as PSV and Feyenoord both have closed the gap with Ajax on the last weeks. While Ajax were ending Waalwijk, PSV and Feyenoord also won comfortably against Vitesse (2-0) and Zwolle (4-0) respectively. All of these three teams are fired up right now. We'll wait and see if the competition will go on very close among these teams until the last week of the season.

Very strong game from Ajax, again no goal conceded and 5 goals scored, top. PSV has also won and can not be easily lost. Feyenoord also remains at the top and still wants to make the championship exciting. The first 3 places are separated by only 2 points. This week are again also international games, Ajax is as good as further but will probably still run up with the strongest team.

today Ajax won 5-0 at RKC and returned 1st place in the table. Feyenoord also won match vs Zwolle 4-0 and now has 2 points less but 1 match in hands so potentially can lead the table.

Ajax loses very good players every year to bigger clubs for very good money, that's the way things are at Ajax unfortunately, but Ajax is also considered the best training club in Europe and a last step to a very big club.

But with the good money from the Champions League, Ajax can strengthen itself again in the winter at the latest and broaden the squad.

Ajax always sell their best players for a big bag of money. They have the biggest youth academy in the world and the best one. They are also one of the top clubs in producing top players. They have a good team this season and can go far in the champions league for sure

This table is quite interesting because it almost feels like if it was misleading. The scoring statistics for Ajax are beyond doubt out of this world and yet the other teams managed to stay somewhat close to Ajax. However, I think that in the end it will be a fight between Feyenoord and Ajax. They are usually the most constant teams and Ajax also has proven to be the most constant because of the Champions League where there performance so far was just superb.

there was a say that title is not win by 6:0 wins, it is won by 1:0 wins that are consistent
Ajax is playing great, but they lost some points in easy matches, and that could add-up in the end

I think that Ajax will get title winning streak when they left Champions League, because at the moment CL seems as a priority for them, and after both wins over Dortmund, they left points in Ere division

Yep totally agree, well said! You could see that once with Atletico Madrid when the led the table not because they scored the most (which they didn't), but because they didn't concede any goals. Madrid and Barcelona had these monstrous scoring statistics while Atletico didn't, but the decisive difference was that they won all those games 1:0.

Now to be fair here, the reason I said that this table is misleading is the fact that Ajax has BY FAR the best defense as well. This is why I pointed that out. But the two goals they conceded cost them so much that despite the 37 scored they are still only 4 points ahead from the fourth.

I definitely agree, Ajax but also PSV have triple loads but not as big squads as other teams for example in the Champions League. Ajax will spend the winter in the Champions League, and wait and see what opponent they get in the next round. But if a big load falls away Ajax will increase the gap in the league, I'm sure, possibly even a reinforcement of the Champions League money is fetched in the winter.

When Ajax performed so well in the Champions League last time and afterwards sold a couple of key players like de Ligt, I really thought that might get a big bump into their short term future, but here they are again. Performing outstandingly well in the league and in the Champions League and damn, these guys are hungry for sure. In the next round of the Champions League I am sure that whoever gets them as an opponent, it is not like you would say yeah, we got an easy one. Ajax is on fire once more!

Ajax lead with different goals only, they should be must careful and watch the step, while PSV performance prepares to gradually good after got big lost 0-5 with Ajax. We should pay attention to Feyenoord, they left 1 match didn't play yet which is possible will be at the top after defeating Zwolle. After the international break, we can see fierce battles between, ajax, PSV and Feyenoord. I was thinking the position wouldn't much change if all 12 and 13 matches have not been played.

I also noticed that Ajax's form has gone down a little in the Eredivisie considering the last two weeks especially. Maybe it is because they are focused on the Champions League more than the Eredivisie now. We can clearly see how great they are performing in the Champions League right now. They destroyed all of their opponents so far in the end. But they should be aware that they should gather themselves up here as soon as possible too. Otherwise, it seems quite probable that they can lose their lead in the standings.

in Champions League Ajax got 12 points in 4 matches and secured promotion to the next stage from 1st place. now it's time to focus on domestic league. It has next two matches away at RKC Waalwijk and Sparta Rotterdam.

I agree. Ajax are already very comfortable in the Champions League as they have guaranteed promoting to the next round being the leader. They must focus on the Eredivisie from now on indeed. They are still capable of dominating the season again. While they were not focusing on their domestic league matches, PSV and Feyenoord got very close to Ajax in the table. It is time for Ajax to open the gap again.

Ajax is doing very well in the Champions League and maybe the international break will help to recharge the batteries a little bit and attack fully in the domestic league again. But I also have to say Ajax has only conceded 2 goals in the league and lost one game, so still fully on course, in the end they will win the championship again with 6 points or more advantage I think.
