maybe, but I do not see that coming, it is a big difference in a league like this, and Ajax have freedom to lose one match in last five matches, and I do not think that they will lose more than one
and PSV needs to win all matches to use chance, if Ajax lose more than one match
I just realized that the Eredivisie only has 18 clubs (34 matches total) when you said the last 5 matches left. because when I look at the premier league still has at least 6-7 matches left. Ajax will definitely be very focused on the remaining match because there's nothing they can chase this session, except the Eredivisie title. it would be very embarrassing when we look at the beginning how great they were at the start of the season, but of course, if PSV won all games left.

Like Koal-84, I'm wondering also now if they actually might crumble in Eredivisie itself?

it would be a big surprise to see that, but if Ajax lose first match (I do not expect that), maybe that could happen, otherwise, it seems already decided

Ah, what a lovely surprise. I took 4 upset MLs on even bets yesterday, against Bayern, Real, Chelsea and Ajax -- and the lowest odds (PSV at 43/10) hit, I actually almost forgot about it. Made up for all the other losses and a tiny bump of profit, I guessed correctly that Ten Hag news would probably affect the team (though I did see several disallowed goals).

PSV has won the final of the cup in the Netherlands. Scored 2 goals just after the break and the victory was in. I know it is separate from the Eredivisie, but for Ajax this is another blow after being eliminated in the Champions League by the much weaker Benfica. Ajax is 4 points ahead in the competition, but this could break them mentally, disappointment after disappointment.

Very unexpected the outcome, but congratulations to PSV. Very cleverly played after the 2 goals right after the break, Ajax has increased possession and had some bad luck but that's how it is.

Am also curious whether there is mentally for Ajax a damper and they also squander the championship title?

Congrat to PSV, after the break for a long time (10 years didn't get this title) this is the next step to getting more trophies from Ajax. I do not expect them got the KNVB cup because they left behind 1 goal before. but, they reverse the situation in the 2nd half. They still have work after this, Eredivise title. Only 4 points left from Ajax, they have to win all remaining matches if they want to combine the KNVB cup and Eredivies title.

Ajax actually had more ball in their possession, but PSV played better football, and scored two fast goals immediately after the break, which gave them cup trophy
congrats to PSV as well, it is not easy to win anything passing this Ajax, which is very strong team

still, I do not think that Ajax will let down title, it is four points up, and it is up to them to win all but one match till the end

In a very even game the score is now 1:1 in the cup final. I'm curious how the final will end, PSV is better started in the 2nd half. Think but Ajax will win the game then yet, but since will see.

2:1 for PSV now, does Ajax now substitute Haller to still win?

What an interesting game it was in the KNVB Beker finale! Ajax scored and got ahead first by 1-0. But it was really interesting to witness that PSV scored two goals by a gap of two minutes only (48', 50'). And the game ended up with PSV's 2-1 lead also. They are the champions of this tournament and it must be feeling good for them to achieve at least one title this season. Actually it is two for PSV as they won the Super Cup by demolishing Ajax 4-0 also. But it is doubtful whether they can complete it to three by the Eredivisie title as well.
Yes a really interesting game they deserve to win that title they were very dominant in the game and they had more dangerous chances but the league is another story it will be hard to catch up to ajax after they take the lead they rarely lose points especially since they got out of the champions league the eredivisie is their main objectif and with only 5 games to the end with a four points difference i think ajax are officially champions.

The tie ended 2-1 as PSV won the dutch cup for the season. It was a very beautiful game, one where Ajax were quite unlucky, with Tadic hitting the posts, VAR chopping their goals and a crucial miss. The Ajax squad can keep their heads high and focus on winning the league title conveniently come May. With Ten Hag reported off to MUFC, title win will be a good sending off wishes for both parties

The Cup final is coming up now and the league has a week off, PSV has been eliminated in the Conference League and will now concentrate on the Cup final. Ajax had a little bit more break and I think they will be fresher in the final and will win it against PSV. PSV didn't have much of a break because of the game against Leicester, so it will be very difficult in the final for PSV.

Since Eredivisie joined Sorare, this could be the place to discuss Eredivisie fixtures and results (Dutch League) - old topic is in-active for three years, and I decided to make a new one
I am really glad to see this thread, but why make it self moderated? Some people may not post on this thread just because it is self moderated because the whole thread can easily be deleted by the person that post the OP, I mean the person that created the thread. This is just my advice, you can move the thread to Archival board and move it back to gambling discussion board to remove the self moderation. This is just a suggestion though.

PSV is still a real opponent for Ajax, the 7 different points is not too far, if not carefully at the end of the last session, PSV will beat them. But, PSV's performance is still a bit unstable
Both clubs have now played 29 matches, the point difference between Ajax and PSV is just 4 points, anything can still happen. PSV having more matches could be another reason a club performance might be reduced, PSV will be playing with Leicester tomorrow again which is not going to be an easy match. Playing more matches can reduce performance but the point between Ajax and PSV is not even much.

Two tough matches await PSV. Winning against Leicester will not be easy. Leicester is a strong enough team. But now PSV may consider the match against Leicester in the conference league more important than the win against Ajax. Because if they can beat the Leicester team, the next opponents are not very difficult. So maybe PSV will give more priority to winning the conference league title now.

Since next year a participation of Russian teams in European tournaments is probably excluded and of Ukraine very questionable, a fixed participation in the Champions League could also not be excluded for PSV as second.

Even if the Conference League is won, I assume that PSV will start in the Europa League in the group stage anyway. But it would be a prestigious title

Also PSV has a tough game against Leicester this week, on Sunday is the cup final PSV vs Ajax by the extra game I also think Ajax has a big advantage on Sunday in the final.
agree, Ajax is as close to the title, as one team can be, and they will win it
PSV will try to get Cup, but looking at their matches with Ajax this season, it will be an easy win for Ajax, IMO
on the other hand, passing Leicester (which is possible), to PSV in a position to win first Europa Conference league, and that could be their crown this season

But, PSV's performance is still a bit unstable, that maybe they have several different games like the conference UEFA league and KNVB. and, in the last one, in the next week, Ajax is waiting for them on Final KNVB, this also makes them think hard to split the energy and time.

For PSV it will be very difficult to close the gap in the last rounds, so they have to hope for 2 defeats from Ajax, but I don't think Ajax will have those two defeats. They can fully concentrate on the league because of the elimination in the Champions League.

Ajax seemed like they were going to be in some trouble against Sparta Rotterdam first. Because the first half ended by Sparta Rotterdam's 1-0 lead. But Ajax are so focused on the title right now that they still turned the game around very nicely and won by 2-1 result. They are seven points ahead of PSV for now but PSV can decrease it by three points tomorrow. Because they are going to have a home game against Waalwijk and this is a very comfortable game for them certainly. I expect no mistakes to be seen.

Another difficult game for Ajax with lucky ending. They won against Sparta not without difficulties. Sparta took a lead in first half. After all, Ajax managed to win game, but it wasn't easy, considering that Sparta is bottom table team. Win is win, Ajax keep leading, but tut now they don't look like such big force like they were in first half of season.
Tomorrow PSV will face Walwijk, probably not that team which can make troubles for them.

Ajax has almost certainly won the title after today. Again it was not easy. They have been behind 4 times in the last 5 games. Still, it's great that they win those matches every time. PSV will be disappointed, because they have been in shape lately, but Ajax always pulls the longest straw. It will be especially exciting who will get European football.
