Ajax won 0:1, but those are the games when you show your championship aspirations, win every time, no matter is that 0:1 or 0:4
PSV and Feyenoord won as well, and Utrecht played good match against Vittesse, draw in the end 1:1, but solid football

will be interesting to see PSV and Ajax in Europe, PSV is playing re-match in Isreal, will be a tough one

Apart from the weather, I think Willem II played very defensively, even though they also played in the 4:3:3 formation, but certainly very defensively and let Ajax do the playing, hence the high possession of Ajax. But I didn't see the game, so this is just a guess on my part. The statistics with corner kicks and goal kicks would confirm it.
Yep, at first I felt they wanted to play with a counterbalancing style from Ajax considering the formation they did, but indeed this is a big mistake and actually I think their formation with a defensive strategy is actually not very suitable but they played quite well by placing almost all of their players when attacked by ajax.
Pretty good defense and strategy but it's a shame they had to lose by a narrow score

Ajax still the strongest club in Eredivisie, the club had 34 Eredivisie trophies. when I look at the picture they never lose in all tournaments and still the favorite champions in this session. by the way, they defeated the rival Feyenoord 1-0 last weekend.

Ajax all the way. They hold an impressive record which the others find hard to beat. Psv and AZ Alkmaar are also another set of interesting clubs to put your money on but can't compare Ajax.
Ajax are a club who regularly give goals see their game against Willem 2, how it was a mauling of sorts. The opposing side did not even have a chance at possesing the ball, not shots on target. They where completely at mercy of Ajax.

PSV vs Heerenveen PSV win or over 2.5 goals and why i dare to pick this option because PSV had made 10 goals from 3 matches so they were clearly on fire

Feyenoord vs Cambuur Feyenoord win

Twente vs Go Ahead Eagles Twente win

Utrecht vs Vitesse both teams to score or draw

A late goal gave Ajax a narrow 0:1 win today. Ajax had an overwhelming 73% of the ball, but they scored in minute 81 to extend their lead. PSV and Feyenoord now have to follow suit to stay in the race for the title, even though it is almost hopeless to challenge Ajax for the title.

Ajax indeed only just won, but those victories also suffered. At one point I even saw a ball occupied for Ajax of 75% against 25% of Willem 2. It will make little difference to Ajax that they hadn't won big. It was also very bad weather at Willem 2 in the Netherlands, it was not that easy. And another disallowed goal. Ajax is by far the strongest team in the Netherlands, and that goal difference is also impressive.

It is almost ridiculous to be honest how Ajax is performing in the Eredivisie. Another 5-0 to their books, now making it 69 to 5 goals, lol. That must certainly be a record in the history of the league after 22 games. Scoring more than 3 goals per game and conceding one all 4.4 games Cheesy

If the Ajax goal machine continues like this, they could possibly score a total of 100 goals this season. You can't imagine it when you think about it, 100 goals scored and maybe only 10 scored, that would be a record that would be hard to break in the future.

There were some great games this week. Firstly, PSV played against Vitesse in an away game and obliterated them by 5-0. Vitesse were one of the decent teams of this season too but PSV didn't care about it even a little. They needed this win so bad and this score must have boosted their morale a lot now. And Ajax answered them in the same way by beating Twente by a huge score like 5-0 again. S. Haller had a great day by making a hat-trick. It is really delightful to watch when Ajax and PSV play like this.

PSV and Ajax are playing very good football at the moment, but I am curious to see how PSV will cope with the double burden, this Thursday UEFA Conference League and on Sunday the league game.

PSV go ahead and after 70 minutes it's already 0:4 for PSV. Well, if PSV go ahead, Ajax will probably follow suit and win their game. Feyenoord should also win to keep up with PSV. It remains exciting.

Yes but I would say that every game now is like a little preliminary match ball for Ajax. If PSV fails one more time and Ajax wins, it is going to be tough for PSV to catch up again as Ajax has one game less. I am still blown away by Ajax' goal statistics this season...

Exactly, PSV must not lose any more games if they want to become champion, the direct duels has been lost by PSV. The game Ajax vs. Twente has just started, and it's still 0:0 but Ajax has a possession of almost 70% and is overwhelmingly superior, I think Ajax will win the game.

I think Ajax will win the game.

good thinking, they won 5:0, there is no short of goals, when Ajax is playing good football
I would like to see more interesting race for title, but I really cannot see any team in Ere that could fight Ajax this season, they are good, but far down from what Ajax is currently playing, would like to see Ajax holding strong in Europe too

The first 3 of the Eredivisie have all won their games, PSV and Ajax both 5:0 also Feyenoord won the game 2:0. For 2nd place it will be exciting but as you wrote I don't think PSV or Feyenoord have a real chance to win the title. Ajax is simply too strong this year, unless they have problems in the league after the Champions League games.

On this week, PSV have another very tough game against Vitesse away. They are really unlucky that they have been facing difficult opponents in the league for a few weeks. And they already lost to two of them which caused them to lose their lead in the standings and Ajax to have a decent gap with them. And I think that Vitesse are powerful enough to resist PSV too. But if PSV lose points here too, Ajax would most probably increase the point difference more and consolidate their place.

Ajax against Benfica and PSV against M. Tel Aviv.

both have solid chances to pass-through
Ajax could see one or two more rounds after this one, I think that they are really good in Europe, and it will be up to draw to see them not matched with City or Real, all other teams could be kicked-out, IMO

PSV should pass over Tel Aviv, and they could also get far in Conference league, let us not forget that AZ, Feyenoord and Vitesse are also in the competition, in Conference league, all teams that PSV can kick-out

In any case, both teams have the chance to advance, if the draw is right and Ajax is lucky, I can imagine a Champions League semi-final. Ajax's goal difference was also phenomenal in the Champions League group stage. Ajax feel they are stronger than they have been for years.

PSV also has a good chance but for the national league, which team can cope better with the international exposure, plus Ajax gets a lot of money in the Champions League where they are superior to the other teams.

Ajax have captured the first position in the league standings once more and they have already gotten a gap like five points with PSV. This was because PSV lost for two weeks in a row. Both of them were home games even though the opponents were not easy. One of them was Ajax and I can understand that. But they should have been able to beat AZ in the other one. It was a big mistake on the road going to the title. I know there is still time but I believe that Ajax wouldn't lose their chance for the title from now on.

I also think that Ajax will not give up their 5 point lead, they will lose one or two games, but I don't think PSV will win all the remaining games. But there are still 13 rounds to play, and we will see how well Ajax and PSV can put the international games away. The games will still be an extra challenge.
