Ron Paul so much as farts near a Bitcoin atm this coin will skyrocket from its low market cap....actually it might skyrocket even if he farts in an entirely different direction.

It's kind of a cool themed coin, Ron Paul is a great guy, but a person should always make sure they don't go too heavy into just one cryptocurrency. I have a lot of wallets from a few years ago that I took money I could barely afford, then bought coins that I was sure were a bargain. A lot of them are dead coins, totally lost. I remember monocle coin that was attached to some big coin and made by a respected dev. I got whatever money I could and kept buying pieces as much as I could. Dead coin now/. Always diversify.

Yeah it is. I have another altcoin worth a few BTC, passphrase is known, but it won't unlock the wallet. Weird, eh?

If the coins are in the possession of Colin and he plans to distribute them then I'd call that fair since he put a lot of hours in and didn't get much back.

They're up for sale. You know that much right? Ignore me about the PM if you want, but that's some funky logic to be talking man. I lost 31,000 RPC and I'm not going to whine about "fairness" around here too much. That was my fault for losing my coins, I took responsibility for that while ago, and I think most people here are looking to move on from that situation and just do the best we can with what we've got so far.

Not clear what you're saying.

Edit: Whoa, I'm sorry man. My mistake. Those coins aren't up for sale as I thought, but they are on cryptopia, true. My bad  Tongue

Is this coin dead? I'm sorry about that  ...

Looking at the Cryptopia distribution, one person has 220,147 rpc coins. The next person has 20,000 and so on.

There are 796,813 coins and we are at block 796,812 https://chainz.cryptoid.info/rpc/ so the coin supply appears correct.

How did one person end up with more than 25% of the coin supply? It's possible that somebody got hold of the Cryptsy wallet and is selling those coins, that would be the most likely explanation.

Also worth noting the website has been re registered and looks like somebody is getting ready to do something.

Probably a substantial pump coming at some point, but a major dump will follow at any moment, unless the bag holder at Cryptopia can explain where their coins came from. If the coins are in the possession of Colin and he plans to distribute them then I'd call that fair since he put a lot of hours in and didn't get much back.

Is this coin dead? I'm sorry about that  Sad
The market capitalization as today is.... 41,500$ (nothing) and there isn't anymore a place where to download a wallet. Furthermore I checked the wallet against virustotal and the various antivirus reported a bitcoin miner trojan inside the wallet. Could that really be?
Is that coin abandoned without any chance to survive? Sad

EDIT: I cannot even sync my wallet as any ip to use in addnode seems not working. Sad

Check post #4058 on the previous page. Try that wallet if you're not using it already. I'm using v0.8.6.2-g88e2a2e-beta
Try these and please report back to let us know it's syncing

Colin has logged in recently. He left the coin well, as I recall, but had pressing issues, maybe needed more time with family. This is one of the solid old coins that could do well.

I would like to see this coin take on the following features (for starters):

>>> implementation of the "expansion blocks" concept proposed by the purse team;
>>> multi-algorithm mining with at least 1 or 2 CPU friendly POW algorithms included in the mix;
>>> implementation of zk-SNARK provable privacy
>>> mandatory minimum transaction fee

As for me, I am NOT selling this coin for anything less than 5 million sats (0.05 BTC) per coin

I think some really good things are going to happen with this coin this  year...
