You probably are already aware, but it requires closing and restarting the QT client to read the .conf file. Also, sometimes it takes a few minutes for the network to establish connections and find peers.

I did the same, and the progress bar was not working, but I closed and restarted the wallet a bit later and the sync had been done.

Hey thehun - make sure that you add RonPaulCoin.conf in your %appdata%\RonPaulCoin folder and put these addnodes in it. I have a solid 8 connections and I'm behind a firewall without UPnP.
