Guys, chain working again. Backlog appears to have been a mining profitability issue as opposed to a technical problem. I understand that tech upgrade still on way though.

I see this when I check the hashing power of the network. http://coinpools.de:9127/static/. I am not personally seeing it. Makes me wonder is this why we haven't seen a new block in 50 days?

Same here:

And could someone help me on my above message, not replied? Thanks!

The nodes are generating errors, could be software upgrade on server with old source seed code or simply things are no longer being updated on part of the dev/op therefore dying a slow death just speeded up a little bit

Any tech peeps in here know anything about this error message?

(from bitcoind) EXCEPTION: St12out_of_range CInv::GetCommand() : type=1073741826 unknown type ronpaulcoin in ProcessMessages()

Look in your rpc.conf file, look for what it is connecting to and then one by one (by process of elimination) remove them and check. Back up so you can re-add the ones that are not causing the issue.

It seems as though it is coming from a/the node depending on exactly where it/they are it should be possible to get rid of that error.

Hi -

I searched a bit and couldn't find any accessible pool (since 2013 and such, they're dead apparently)?

I may try to put some rigs on mining RPC, but could someone give me information on (windows) Miner and Pool?

Thanks!

Is this coin dead? No new block since 22 days, no nethash. Or am I wrong?
The activities in the community are not very active these days, and perhaps there is so much new money now that everyone has forgotten it.

The dev pops round here from time to time saying he wants to spend time on the coin but has personal life and no time to spend on it and ask sfor help from anyone willing to take over the project.

Apart from a few people posting here saying how great this coin is and the potential it has TBH it is more or less dead other than being barely kept alive.

Hey guys we're planning on doing a soft fork of RPC eventually and we're wondering who is currently mining RonPaulCoin.

Thank You

Hello,

From time to time I connect my miners to RPC P2Pool at Coinpools. (Not even 100 MH/S)

Even the well-known pump and dump schemes are meant for the newbies who suddenly see a rise in some altcoins and joins the band wagon without watching the price movements. All sudden sharp increase (coinmarketcap gainers & loosers will help here). For you to make money here, you must understand the manipulation at a very early stage so you can get in and pull out before the great fall begins. You may as well join some social media chat groups for this.

Howdy revitup

Thanks for all the great work you are doing promoting and maintaining this coin

Whilst I am not into the technical side of mining or programming, it appears
that there is a flaw in the code that allows difficulty to have huge spikes and
plunges in seconds

The difficulty according to our block explorer can go from 1 to 200 in just one
block, and is currently sitting on 960, when the previous block was only 165
so a six fold increase in difficulty in a block

Also the reported hashrate of 37.479gh, does not seem to change, at least
whilst I have watched it over the last hour or so, this hashrate should
naturally fluctuate, so I take it that this calculation is probably inaccurate

Whilst I am not mining this coin at present, I would like to, and I know
others that would as well.  If anyone here is mining this coin at present
(there were at least 9 wallets addresses mining very recently)
could you please make yourselves known here, so we can work with
all the community to identify and solve issues you have at present
and going forward

A soft fork should be able to fix these issues, and if there are any other
issues that other members can think of that need attention, please bring
them to light here ASAP

A hard fork would cause more issues than it would be worth at present IMO

We just need to get the issues with the code sorted, I am not sure if
that even needs a soft fork to fix, I think this question should be
directed to a programmer, which I am sure you doing

We need to keep the coin on the two exchanges that it currently is,
this is a must

I would be happy to contribute to the cost of getting this sorted, if
others wanted to chip in too, that would be great, if not..thats OK too

cheers grant

I remember I was mining Ron Paul coin back in the spring of 2014, even though I am not so sure where I have stored the wallet, but I had quite some coins there. I see it is now VERSION 2.0, does it mean the coin has been forked and the old wallet must be upgraded or is it still the same original coin? Sorry if I'm asking but I can't go through 200+ pages of thread.
