This is the land of wolves now & you're not a wolf
Guys can I ask you a question please I have read as much of this as I understand but is it wise to keep all my bitcoins on one of these?

10000% YES, as long as you keep the seed generated on initial setup in safe storage on a piece of paper.

BOP, myTrezor, the TREZOR itself, sathosilabs, they can all blow up and dissapear from the face of the planet...

With https://dcpos.github.io/bip39/, you can create all your private keys and import them old school in even an old version of Bitcoin-qt.

They should all be safe there, but I am never a proponent of keeping all of your coins in one spot.   I would recommend keeping a little on blockchain.info (because of convenience), and maybe some on another client like electrum or bitcoin core, etc.   If all of your coins are on the trezor, and you want to spend money (and you don't have the physical trezor), then you are unable to spend/send any coins.

Trezor I believe is aiming to split the private seed across multiple Trezors.

I think most want multisig for the 2-of-2 instant confirmation.

NOBODY gives a fuck who's fault it is, on mytrezor I can see the following "Backend powered by Bits Of Proof", every time there was a problem, it was solved by restarting the BACKEND.
So instead of trying to put the blame on Sathosilabs who has paid you for a product and had faith in you, when all the big boys were running to chain.com with their money, you could have fixed it already... making all of sathosilabs it's customers happy, thus making your customer happy and eventually making you happy.

Yet you have chosen to do the opposite.

My mail was to those who give a fuck. No, you do not have to.

I have not chosen to make customer unhappy, but am acting within limits, just like anyone else.

Maybe I have mistaken this to a forum that deserves more context.

Act fast and adequate within your limits, so that we don't have to give a fuck.

Telling us that your product is superior, but that chain got more money because they are from silicon valley, isn't going to solve the problem and neither will it be a confidence booster for potential future customers.

Stick any ETA on multisig support?

Yes I'm interested in this too. I understand it is a firmware 1.3 milestone and there was a github firmware commit yesterday (on message encryption)

I'd really like to use GreenAddress.it wallet.

I downloaded the greenaddress CRX chrome extension. It is impossible to generate your seed offline. It is impossible to provide your own entropy. Whilst this makes sense in order for 2 of 2 multisig to work, this is not necessarily better than fully offline seed generation.

Trezor I believe is aiming to split the private seed across multiple Trezors.

Gweedo trezor does need multisig support if you ever want to spend funds in multisig.

Ask slush or stick Wink

Alternatives wished for in this thread are still not at its level of support.

Chain.com has over $13.7 Million in funding it is better than BOP. Also why give them the source code? To give the best support you should have ran it on your own servers, then you could debug and provided the necessary fixes.

Because I did not have 13.7 Million funding. Because BOP was written two years before chain and is still superior to that.

Still I don't understand why you gave them the source code, they are clearly not java developers and would have a difficult path of fixing bugs/updates. This just seems a combo of both BOP and mytrezor issues which plague both sides.

I gave them source code because they wanted source code. slush wanted everything under his control, because I had no 13.7 mio USD funding.
I can't blame him for that. He wants to run everything on his own for the same reason.

13.7 million dollars seems to think that chain.com is superior, well my guess is as good as any, but in the end money speaks.

There are two known problems with that version:

1. Transactions initiated sometimes are not reported as confirmed until the user closes and later re-opens the browser window.
2. Under a race condition that is seldom, but not yet fully understood the server throws an exception and stops processing requests. The condition can be resolved by a restart of the service that takes less than a minute.

Instead of madmouthing stick from Trezor, go and fix those 2 bugs and remember "The customer is ALWAYS right".

Also to me it seems you are twisting this whole story to your own advantage by trying to make it look as if you are the victim. Poor BOP with no money against Silicon Valley...

I'd really like to use GreenAddress.it wallet.

Trezor doesn't need multisig support, greenaddress.it just needs to pull a public key from the device, then use their public key to create a 2 of 2 multi-sig address.

Hi all, significant downtimes in recent days has been caused by server randomly freezing, without any obvious reason.

Now, based on my communication with BOP team, I implemented BOP server watchdog to our mytrezor server, which proactively restart the backend once it detects service problems, so the downtime should not be longer than a minute or two.

That's not a solution of the problem itself, but it should serve its purpose until we'll find and fix the real problem of the BOP server. I'm very sorry for all downtime in recent days, but I believe that current solution will minimize impact to our users.

We have seen this issue earlier but infrequently and I suggested a workaround. The issue was so infrequent and unspecific that I did not yet fix and you did not put a monitor and workaround in place. Now it happened to blow up on a Sunday morning and nobody at your side watched. Your customer were pissed.

Unfortunately stick decides to blame me in public for the event as if my product had sole responsibility, that is not the case if you operate a stuff yourselves.

Correct me if above is wrong and then lets get back to business as usual.

Unfortunatelly I worked while others hyped and unfortunately I am in Hungary while others in silicon valley.
Not complaining but explaining why I have to go a different route. Go for chain.
