But I think, that it should be wise to drop "Bits Of Proof" if that's the "so called backend" and replace it with something more decent, perhaps "chain.com" can be a contender?

Unfortunately no other blockchain explorers understand BIP32 ...

Is that necessary or even desirable? Is the root xpub uploaded to mytrezor.com servers for balance check? That's pretty bad for privacy, no?

Yes horrible privacy, trezor has many mistakes like this that harms the product privacy. The faster electrum can get out of beta the better!

you mean "myTrezor.com".

the mytrezor account balance is not the same as in blockchain.info. How can that be? One transaction is showing up on blockchain.info what i've never made from by bitcoinadress and the transaction is not showing up on mytrezor account.

Now in electrum, go to tools -> plugins and enable the trezor plugin. Not sure if you need to restart electrum at that point. Might be necessary.

I followed all directions then went to enable the plugin. I can see the option there to enable trezor in the plugins list but it is grayed out and the checkbox cant be marked.

hmm. strange, it's grayed out for me, too. The checkbox is unmarked and can't be marked. However, the trezor still works. Can you try if it works?

I can confirm that it is now working. What I did was go to file/new and started a new hardware wallet, chose the trezor option with the trezor plugged in. The trezor wallet loaded up. I then went back to the plugin options and noticed that the trezor option was automatically checked and working on its own.

strange, it's still unchecked for me but working fine.

AH, I see: trezor has to be connected. Then the plugin is checked and not grayed-out... interesting.

I also cannot access my funds on myTrezor.com, can't say I'm impressed at all.

I will be sweeping them right back to a paper wallet the moment its up, what a waste of $120.

From my understanding it was never the real goal of the project to provide a web wallet, but since third-party wallet creators didn't incorporated support for the Trezor yet, it was created to make the Trezor usable. So in fact it can be seen as a freebie on top of your 120$ paid for the Trezor.

If i lost my Trezor and you go bankrupcy or a nuke bomb will hit your company , how to recovery my wallett?

Go to https://dcpos.github.io/bip39/ and re-create your private keys with your seed that you have written down when setting up the Trezor. Every private key can be imported into the most basic bitcoin wallet. Or use wallet32 on android, or any other wallet that will be bip44 compatible in the future.

Hi,

I made and described the full and tested by me the instruction of compiling from sources driver + python-module + Electrum 2.0 in Ubuntu 14.04
I tested my instruction at clean Ubuntu 14.04 and after everything works
The post written in Russian but there are important only three bash blocks. You can copy & paste one by one command and you will have a working Electrum 2.0
You don't need to go MyTrezor and install plugin! It will be compilied and installed too

These instructions are agregated from other instuctions from internet and from my experience

I have not received a bug report from TREZOR that would imply a downtime of the magnitude claimed in this thread, therefore would be fair if it was not represented as a BoP issue.

Are you implying that all reported bugs to you have already been fixed and fixes delivered to us?

came here from reddit to find out answer to this question

If trezor/SatoshiLabs adds support for multisig GreenAddress would love to complete the integration (we already support bip32 signed login and it would be trivial to add support for signing our 2of2 and 2of3 HD accounts.)
