web wallet seems to be having issues, when I click add account --> error! Child node derivation failed

Works for me. Please reach our support.

seems to be only related to IE11 since latest updates, works fine with FireFox.

It now also handles URIs containing an r parameter (payment requests), though it doesn't yet pass the payment request information on to the Trezor. Any ETA on support for that, guys?

For that to make full sense we would need to have Certificate Authorities embedded in TREZOR firmware and expand the firmware to be able to work with crypto primitives used in PKI (such as SHA-1, RSA, etc.). As you can imagine this will take some time, but we understand that this would be the next huge leap in usability. (Because users would check just domain on TREZOR instead of the address).

Figured out how to get myTREZOR to handle bitcoin URI links in Chrome.

Can you backup your private keys that is on the trezor?
No.   Or, even more to the point, why?  The fact that there is absolutely no way to get the private keys from the Trezor is the entire point of the Trezor.

You back up (and keep secret) the seed words one time when you first initialize the Trezor.  There is then no need to backup the private keys as all private keys ever used by or will be used by the Trezor can be derived from the seed words.

Cool, eh?

What if you get drunk or something and loose the trevor or accidental smash it with a hammer? Then is your coins lost for ever and ever?

You can purchase another trezor and restore your coins using the recovery seed, or you can load the recovery seed into Wallet32  (the android BTC wallet).  Smashing with a hammer is not recommended...lol

That sounds smart. Perhaps a bit too complicated for my tast. And yes, I get these blackouts something if I am on the bender, and then sometime my hammer smash things, awfull mess

If thats the case, then you should get a little fireproof safe and put it in your closet or something. Then you should be all safe from hammertime

OK, so if I am getting this right. As long as nobody steel your seeds then are you good. But if someone steel your seeds then are you fucked?
Truer words are hard to find.

Thanks, cool product. I like it.

Also note that you can use a passphrase for protection of the seed paper backup. You'll have to enter the passphrase when you connect your trezor (yes, it can be stolen by keylogger). The passphrase protects the paper-copy of your seed (similar to a password-protected paper wallet).

Stick & Slush: Any chance the price will come down soon?  Smiley
I think they are probably selling enough at this price.  If so why would they drop the price?  Of course I don't know their current actual sales volume so I could be wrong.

For sure you will have to wait for a drop in sales volume before there will be a drop in price.

Also, for everything it does for me I think it is well worth the money and would have even paid more.  So there is that.

Finally, I hope they keep the price as high at they possibly can in order to create a great company with a great R&D department so they can put out even more great products.

Truer words are hard to find.

for what you get, I feel it's underpriced.

Fair enough, i´ve been trying to convince myself to buy a Trezor for some time now.
When/If i get my Technobit refund i will order one  Smiley

It is totally worth it.   I use it basically as a savings account, and just leave it as a watch only wallet.  I've sent a few coins out to do a few things, but I basically just keep adding to it.   IMO it totally beats keeping a bunch of paper wallets.   It is basically as convenient as having an online hot wallet, but without the risks...

This change is because mytrezor.com is now handling bitcoin:.... URI links, so we needed to have the Send tab enabled at all times. What is disabled now is the Send button on that tab.

How do we enable the handling of bitcoin: URI links? Armory is currently the default on my Windows/Chrome system.

Same goes for the password to your encrypted wallet.dat file.

It is way less complicated to write down 24 random words on a piece of paper and keep it safe and secure than it is to constantly back up your wallet.dat file, remember to do it (every 50 or so spend transaction, every 100 for sure or you will be sorry), remember the encryption password for the wallet.dat file, etc.
