I can say that about Ledgerwallet but definitely not Trezor. You can get in touch with the team through Direct messages on Twitter, Reddit or email, they are very responsive.

Such idea is very innovative. The only limitation you may have in the security of such
wallet is lack of commitment during supportive stage to your subscribers where either
response time is slowed or you renege on promises as experienced  formerly.

I am waiting this new Trezor T but it seems that I can expect snow in summer sooner than this device to become available.
It's says around March, in every store.

What i find very good about this device among all others hardware wallets is USB-c instead of that MicroUSB that is likely to break.

Are there any plans to support BIP70?
People can't pay BitPay invoices with their Trezor anymore, which is a very bad experience.

BIP70 was a piece of crap rammed through by Andressen ... it leaks information like a sieve. Try to avoid using it wherever you value privacy.

what is this "brake pedal" you speak of?

It's not an immediate plan for them as already explained by the CTO. I believe both Electrum and Mycelium support BIP70 so you could use them with Trezor in order to pay.

mycelium on android does support bitpays new format (bought stuff off newegg with it recently), so you can use the trezor that way for it.

Is this currently limited by new software/protocol upgrade from Bitpay?

Does Ledger of Keepkey suport this now?

Please add the ability to split out and claim our Bitcoin Diamond.  Thanks!

I actually contacted them through Twitter a few weeks back regarding BitcoinX, Super Bitcoin and Bitcoin Diamond and they said, they should first see If the code is safe as I believe some of these forks have unknown developers or source code nowhere to find.

Could addition of this SD card slot could actually make this new device less secure?

Didn't they say that new model will have better cpu inside?

I don't have any of this devices so i wanted to give it a try, but now i am not sure if i buy old model will i have some problems in a near future.
I know they said that they will support first model but who knows for how long, because they will probably want to stimulate sell of of newer model and not spent time on support time for the old one.

It has a faster processor yes. If you don't mind adding almost 50$ and wait little bit for the shipping then I guess it would be better to buy the new version instead. The old version shouldn't stop working at anytime but there will be definitely lack of features in long term.

That's what I am afraid of the most "Lack of features in long term", for device to become obsolite

The new one will most likely support more coins because it's code is written in Python (old one C+) and has an SD slot so devs can add their own apps to support coins. Plus entering pin and restoring seeds will all be done on the color, touchscreen. Definitely worth thee wait for the new Trezor T.

I did not find information on the webcite, what radically differs the new wallet Trezor T from the old one. Should I buy it if I already have Trezor?

Will the new wallet have better protection or functionality?

I have the "normal" trezor and I am more than happy with it. the only difference is that trezor T has the touchscreen that makes it easier to enter the pin. stay with your old trezor. u are good.

Not the only difference. Trezor T will use Python and have an SD card slot. It will allow apps to be loaded for more functionality. I have two Trezors and got in on the first batch of Trezor T.

Just saying, why use this at a merchant? There's no reason to so just don't. And what if you accidentally use an address you just have away the private key for?

Having said that, I love this for personal use and hopefully version 2 will support private key transfer over a segregated nfc chip.
What are you trying to say here?

I see no reason not to use a Trezor at a merchant.  Are you just typing random crap?

Unless you reuse the seed words there is no way to ever access any private key from the Trezor.  It is impossible.  Again, are you just typing random crap?

Why on Earth would you want a way to transfer private keys from your Trezor?  The entire purpose of the Trezor is to keep your private keys safe, segregated from all other electronic devices, and totally secure.

Conclusion:  You are just typing in random crap to increase your post count.
