Chinese teams cum back?  Grin

Honestly, they're really strong this time. But let's see on TI or even in the next big tournaments like was it Riyadh Masters where the prize pool is high? Those tournaments do matters.
The Chinese teams are indeed on the rise, at least the top 3 (Xtreme Gaming, Azure Ray, and G2.IG), as they mostly have veteran players who recently returned to the scene.
Don't forget about LGD gaming but yeah, most of them are in a rise again and with the Dream League season 22 it seems that they're not doing good in the group stages but only Xtreme gaming.

Yeah, that's now the points system that they have. Actually, it doesn't really have any difference at all and just the name was changed. It's still the same format that teams get these EPT points and that will be their ticket to a grander tournament by EPT.

There are alot of significance on the current system. Well aside from the points received, I think the huge difference lies on the roster change. There was a huge penalty for team that switch their members throughout the season last year and iirc it carries to negative point eventhough your team is already on 0 point while current any team with 0 point could use unlimited roster exchange whenever they feel the teams are not working as it should be
That's true about roster changes. Look at how tundra esports replaced MC before their match. That's terrible if the organizers are allowing this to happen.

And Timado also shared his thought about it because he came from Tundra too that he's replaced too at the very last minute. Good thing that OG took him as standin.

The prizepool listed is wrong though, prizepool is $1M
Yeah it did seem off at first when I saw it. Since Riyadh tournaments prize was $15 million for winning which was significantly more.
This years is said to be worth $45 million which is a mind blowing amount for an Esports tournament.

Unexpected change from Tundra while the DreamLeague tournament is ongoing, they kicked MC before their series was about to start and had to find a last-minute substitute to fill his spot.  Shocked

It's unusual to see a player lose their spot during the tournament when changes should always be done after.

Yes, its currently on groupstage. Just like to ask about DPC points, is it already been removed?
Yes, DPC points have been removed and changed into EPT points. I think it's just more of organizer matters.

We are seeing that there are lots of Chinese teams for this year and they are really that good. Dominating the majors or tournaments? Hope they wont choke on this upcoming TI.
Good bets into those who have chose XG which they did really very well. Its really good to see the new meta now on some heroes.
Hope that there would be no major patch before TI.  Cheesy

There's now the Dream League season 22 where everyone is now tuning in and the first day of it just ended a few moments ago.
Just looked up some more information about Dream League season 22 and this came up:

ESL pro tour points. Does this replace the DPC points from what the above posters are mentioning which were removed from tournament play?

Wouldn't have known the new seasonal tournament just started if you had not mentioned it.
So thanks for that. Might put in a bet or two in the next few days.
Seem that Aurora, Shopify Rebellion, Team Spirit, and Xtreme Gaming are the teams to look out for.

Don't mention it.  Wink

I still ahve the same expectation for the teams like, Team Liquid, Team Spirit and GG.

Day 2 is about to start later within the next 3 hours.

Unfortunately, DPC points aren't a thing anymore after Valve stepped down from hosting DPC tournaments and passed it all down to the third-party organizers to create their point system.

I won't be surprised of Aurora will have a deep run this DreamLeague season.
It's nice to see them do well after the first day, but it's still too early to say since they'll get to face much better teams in the next few days.

Games of the future for Dota 2, a lot of teams have already eliminated and we're about to get down to 4 teams remaining. The last on going match right now is with PSG.Quest and Boom Esports.

While it is not surprising to see that 3 out of these 4 remaining teams are from the China region. This is already a foreshadowing that we're going to have a chinese team being champion of this tournament.  Cheesy
Like the name of this tournament in DOTA2 when I first seen it while searching for some matches to place bets on during the week.

There were some matches going on for CS2. Was watching a bit of the games being played over the course of the week.
Intel Extreme Masters South America Closed Qualifier for the upcoming tournament in Dallas.
Looks like 9z overpowered all their opponents to take first place.
As for this tournament, it has ended gracefully and Xtreme gaming has been crowned as the champion for this tournament, earning them $350k. What a way to start the first quarter of the year as there are more tournaments to come for them.

I am looking at ramzes profile, I haven't heard that he has parted ways with 9pandas but that seems so.
It happened during the offseason after TI and it was probably overshadowed by the other big players since there were too many roster shuffles at the time.
Oh, it wasn't made articles for his departure with his former team.

Surprisingly zai is back, but he's only behind the scenes now that Tundra took him in to fill the manager position.

https://twitter.com/TundraEsports/status/1761028310862094844
He may not be the player that we used to love but I am also happy to see him back working on the back end with Tundra as their general manager. He'd surely give more tips and advises too just as if he's a coach or analyst of the team too.

Happy to see Aurora and 23Savage doing great in 1st day of DreamLeague S22 but also glad to see Lorenoff is doing a great job as a replacement for Jabz and I won't be surprised of Aurora will have a deep run this DreamLeague season.
Not bad for them that they ended this day with a 3-1. 3 more days for this group stages to end and there will be more actions to come. I like this format that we have a long day for this group stages.  Cheesy

Unfortunately , I've missed the BetBoom victory over GG and they are now 2-0 over them in last 2 games and I think Gaiming Gladiators dominating era is gone and I also anticipate some transfers here and there during this year from this team. For BetBoom , this team is becoming sharper and sharper with each game and I do expect them to win a major this year. Cool

These are like the SRL matches they have in tennis all electronically settled but they actually show the matches.
Remember these becoming popular during covid since it was all done over the internet and kept people playing and becoming e-athletes.

On to PGL for CounterStrike 2 updates:
Team Spirit got KO'd out participating in the finals for this tournament with that loss yesterday versus Mouz.
Current matches playing at the moment are: Monte vs Astralis and Apeks vs ECSTATIC

The later matches are Vitality vs ENCE, OG vs GamerLegion and Spirit vs Heroic.

Still Thanks for sharing the link, It was really popular during the Pandemic and I remember making bets online during those times because I was bored being just at home but Esports games were my free time with the boredom and because I was just working from my home I think we just have fewer expenses back then.

I have seen those ESports aswell but because I was busy for a couple of months I missed most of the actions in those ESports games and events, but right now we will be having two games right now

Dallas Mavericks (Zander) vs. Los Angeles Clippers (Elian)

Toronto Raptors (Barry) vs. Los Angeles Clippers (Elian)

These are the games that are available for the Valhalla League 2024 Week #8 Elian in those 2 games has some edge with those odds and it is tempting to make some bets because the Zander vs. Elian match will be profitable as it has much closer odds than with Barry vs. Elian match, because Barry was the underdog for this game but let's see that may happen during the game.

High probability but not an assured thing. Boom Esports could still have the chance but speaking about XG? Really that hard specially with Ame.
So Boom Esports won against PSG.Quest. That's nice!

But they're going to be against Xtreme Gaming next and even if they survive there, it's either going to be LGD or IG that they have to match with.

All of these three chinese teams were all just too good honestly.

Buying out is an option and you'd get the best players but it's expensive and not worth it with the prize that they might get and even not going to be enough for that option to do so.
Well for some majors and tourneys then there are really prize pools arent really that worth that have that stand-in
Of course they would really be always pertaining about the prize pool that they could possibly be able to risks on.

Current PP of Game of the Future tournament is on $1,000,000 USD and having that partition of
1st
$350,000
 2nd
$160,000
 3rd
$120,000
 4th
$70,000

Yeah that's the prize pool for the games of the future and you haven't included yet the other placing that have 4 teams for each placing. I'm talking about that it's not worth it if someone is going to buy out and the buy out contract for that player like with ramzes and any of his good teammate will cost him a lot. I don't know much about this L1ga team if it's an esports organization or these are just players that have named their team like that. As for the next big tournament, it is ESL Birmingham. The prize pool is the same with this Games of the future but it's much better because of the EPT points which was also the same with the points before for DPC.

I don't understand why ramzes has to stand on his own and build a new team with set of new and unknown players. I think he's a good mentor to them but if it's with this kind of tournament, he should be in a better team with better players.
That roster was probably formed at the last minute as they're one of the many teams that got invited, and with decent prize money, it's usually better to field a team than to withdraw from the tournament.
I agree.
The participation isn't worth it if he'd just chosen who's available. As far as I know, they've got contracts with their current teams and they can't play stand in to any team just to participate this type of tournament and they have to do some buy out. It's the most expensive thing on the dota 2 professional teams to do. Buying out is an option and you'd get the best players but it's expensive and not worth it with the prize that they might get and even not going to be enough for that option to do so. That's a nice temporary boost for Falcons, even though it's only for the Blast Spring Showdown.
