Thanks for the table of the next big tournament on the DOTA2 scene starting in just a few more days so to wait beginning September 4th:

Correct all you dota2 experts?

I hope we have another great tournament. The meta is great and interesting, I can't stop playing Dota, and it's very interesting how often teams will use the new hero - Ring Master. He looks like a great support and those teams that love performance will definitely show how true professionals play this hero.

Oh, the anticipation of the International...
Every game in the pub, there's always the ring master and that's why it is a crazy meta. I think he's OP but is he in the drafts? I don't think at this TI he's in there, I haven't read any official patch about him included in the draft so that's why I am not expecting him to be there. Or, if within the few hours a patch will happen and it's about him, for sure that it's going to be part of the first bans. We've got few hours left until the opening of the games start. All teams are already checked-in, people and players from Copenhagen sure is going to enjoy this TI.

You are right, Draft is different from Pub, but wouldn't it be stupid for Valve to release such a hero and leave the International without him?
Yeah, because he was just released weeks before the TI. IIRC, this has happened on the other new heroes in the past, they were not included in the TI but I'm not yet sure but let's see.

Every time I see a new compendium, I facepalm and remember the old first great compendiums. And all those events like Chinese New Year, when great sets on heroes were easy to get for free. Now Valve are like a greedy old man, giving only bad items for free.
Dude, that was the greatest of the past and it's sad that Valve has turned his way from being a community friendly provider than to looking at us as their money making machines. Anyway, I don't really care about the items but about the battlepass and compendium, they should give what the community wants. This TI even with the Saudi Prince, not probably impressed with what Valve released lately.

So there will be in-game advertisements afterall as I remember a few people mentioning about this because some were thinking they were bleeding money hence the lower prize amounts.
You're welcome and no, there won't be any in-game advertisements whether from Valve, sponsors or even with the teams. The article mentioned that they aren't going to allow it.

But these advertisers should bring in more money then allow for a larger prize pool.
Correct all you dota2 experts?
If it is with the prize pool, these advertisers should be allowed to advertise through Valve's dota client instead of sponsoring the teams. With that, that's how these advertisers will be able to help to increase the prize pool. But most of these advertisers are only sponsoring teams directly and their main economy impacting the players and teams to have better salary and funding.

Update for The International(13) 2024.

They already have the matches for the group stages and two days from now, it's about to start and there's so many games to bet on for day 1 with these 4 groups.

I have picked two bets already but for draw, so these matches on group stages are a best of 2 match only. Most of the games in here are likely to get draw based on what I've seen in the past tournaments but who knows, this is TI and it could be different this time. I am still contemplating about the other matches that I should bet on but for now, this is my first dibs.

Oh my, I've lost this bet. I should have followed my heart to bet on Avulus as the champ of this tournament with a good odds. The first 2 maps were won by 1win but then 3rd and 4th map was taken by Avulus up to fifth map, that was heck of a sweep from them, a reverse sweep indeed.

Reminder: 4 days to go and the TI2024 starts, the prize pool isn't interesting as it's quite low until now. So, this is expected that each year of TI, prize pool will become lesser as the game is getting older and there are lesser support from the community now.
Thanks for the headups on the Dota2 scene @passwordnow because as we all know I am not fluent in that game, yet atleast. Wink
That's okay man, we've got a lot of dota 2 gamers and bettors here and that's why everyone of them is updated in anyway.

Heard some terms about it on my sportschat that I am on and catching up on the game this way.
That happens but very rare, I remember that with former Team Liquid roster with insania, they've picked a wrong hero that was in the meta of being a carry but they played it as a support role in a TI game, yes.

So what are the prize amounts and why are they so low compared to last year?
There's lesser support from the community I guess and gamers don't buy the compendium that they've made for this year. I think that the trend as well is going down for dota 2. Currently, the prize pool becomes $2.350M. I am waiting for the update of the group stages and will post that soon when it's available already.

Eternal Fire vs paIN gaming in just 30 minutes and this might be the game where score should be tight in all maps but overall , EF are a bit better and in great shape than paIN gaming and that's why I do see this game being only 2 maps but with very tight score and even 1 overtime.

Later on, we have Mouz vs winner from EF vs Pain and I do hope we get to see Mouz vs EF because EF are looking for a trophy for quite a while and with Team Spirit being vulnerable lately and now having great tournaments , EF can exploit this and try to win the finals.
Did they start playing yet because I went to grab a breakfast before it started and now are saying they will starting in 5 minutes and there is some kind of delay from them to start the match of these play-offs.
Watching it live for the past thirty minutes from here:

They mentioned sometimes about failed draft, so I know this is referring to dota now. Grin

First game of BetBoom Dacha 2024 will be between Furia and Eternal Fire with both teams being in great shape lately but with a slight advantage towards Eternal Fire. First of all , EF is the only team left with the entire rooster being together for quite some time now and the chemistry between players is really amazing to watch.

Second game of the day will be between Virtus Pro and paIN gaming and I have a feeling VP will somehow snatch this victory after they were able to defeat Falcons yesterday.  Grin

Whoever wins this match, they'll face AVULUS since they've lost against 1win.
Luckily, I've won this bet. Finally! hehe.

Whoever wins this match, they'll face AVULUS since they've lost against 1win.
With AVULUS beating Mouz in the lower final, we'll have a rematch between them in the grand final. After they got tested in the upper bracket match that ended in a sweep, i'll pick 1win's -1.5 map handicap and assume AVULUS is only good for one map at most.
Yeah, it's another rematch that they have. As much as I want to bet on the match winner but I don't like the odds. So, just as you, I'd go on with the maps betting. I took under 4.5 maps, the odds is not the typical one I bet but I'd take this. Good luck to our bets ralle!

BB Dacha LAN main event started today and VP vs furia is next, slight odds favored to VP but furia played really well yesterday
They'll face Eternal Fire in the lower bracket and it'll be fun to see Eternal Fire get back at Furia after they lost the seeding match in the group stage. I'm also looking forward to the upper bracket match as the odds lean on Team Spirit, but the recent H2H results favor Mouz.

Another lose for this bet. I'm trying to get a motivation for this upcoming bet of mine since CCT series for dota 2 is now on the lower bracket semi finals and 4 teams are remaining. 1win is now waiting in the grand finals.

CCT series 3 is getting close to the finals. Later on, the upper bracket finals is up and that's where I've placed a bet. I hope that this bet of mine will be the first win for this week. It's going to be AVULUS and 1win. Both of these teams, I have not gotten any win but it's interesting on my end if AVULUS for which I bet on will be bringing me my first W and I like its odds.

Seems that Team Falcons are not only firing up in the DOTA2 scene but in CS2 too as they took first place in the Blast Premier Fall Group final yesterday blanking Virtus.Pro:
https://www.hltv.org/events/7555/blast-premier-fall-showdown-2024

Had placed a bet on V.P yesterday as they were both pretty much even in odds with Virtus up by a slight margin at 1.95x while the Falcons were 2.00x
They look very sharp and unstoppable in their group match while Faze blanked OG taking second place in the showdown.

Yup Falcons had a nice run beating some teams but just now lost 0-2 to Spirit, the second map being really really close 11-13

After watching a well deserved F1 qualification session , it's time for me to start up my steam account and patch Dota 2 because I'm super curious how Ringmaster feels to play but also I'm very curious to find out why people are being mad at TI compendium. I know this compendium won't be like the previous ones but on the same time , a small percent of compendium will actually go towards TI prize-pool so people should be happy because Valve cameback to this decision after 2 years without any compendium before TI.  Cool
To be honest, I have never availed any compendium.  Tongue
While the part of it really goes to fund the TI prize but they don't give that much of the value that players spend for that. Many that purchases it are doing it for the sake of helping the fund to go up but if it's bang for the buck, many will disagree. Currently, the prize pool for TI has already reached $2.1M after the release of compendium, not bad though.

We could have another rematch between Team Spirit and Team Falcons after their intense upper final yesterday, Tundra made it close against Team Falcons in the first round, but I still think they'll have their number again. I'm sticking with Team Falcons to win instead of the over, they could quickly sweep Tundra and focus on the grand final.
You're right and congratulations to your bet. Team Falcons won 3-0, easy.

Going to another tournament, the CCT series 3, they're now on the playoffs. For sure that some of us here are familiar to the few teams and the unpopular teams with known players that are participating this tournament that has a $50k prize pool. Anyway, here's the playoffs and teams below and it's about to start in less than 3 hours.

Same here, we already knew it was coming once again after last year's TI, people are just overreacting when we already have the Crownfall event that's already better, it's packed with good content and minigames from the first act until the third plus it's free.
