Has anyone heard of a FPS game called Off the Grid. It is crypto-related so thought it would be of interest since it was only introduced around two weeks ago to the public.
Since then this web3 platform was built on a the avalanche blockchain giving it's corresponding token and nft for playing it.

Here are some articles which explain how it works:

https://decrypt.co/resources/what-is-off-the-grid-battle-royale-shooter-avalanche

Ever since it's release, the AVX token price has been surging.

I doubt Liquid would win because they now have the TI curse, but it'll be great if they can still pull through with Saberlight. If Team Liquid still had 33, I might've agreed with what you said.
I think one reason why Team Liquid took Saberlight instead of offering or buying out 33's contract is because he's friend with Insania. I'm not sure with that but it seems that they have a solid friendship that has been built and that's why he's also chosen in the past I think to stand in for them and speaking of team Liquid, I've taken a bet on them against Mouz and their match is about to start in a few.

Results.

It's a tradition for teams to win next tournament after winning TI so let's hope Liquid will do it too.

BetBoom with Pure as carry is looking amazing and this team is on the path to finally achieve their true potential so keep an eye on this team for the rest of the tournaments but also for the next ones. Grin

Right now it's a toss-up between the tier one teams when these player changes could change each team's skill ceiling, and certain teams could still be in that honeymoon phase.

BetBoom are off to a good start for now as they met the two weakest team in the group, we'll see later if they can keep up the same firepower against Tundra.

Anyone watching BB Dacha 2 at Belgrade ? We finally saw Liquid playing today after winning TI and they looked ok with Saberlight as their offlaner and I do expect them to win this tournament in order to show they are still a strong team after TI and it wasn't only luck right ? Just started watching the quarterfinals knockout stages of The Worlds and TES is getting smoked by T1.
They look like an NA team somebody said in the chat I am currently looking at, that must mean they are playing really bad. 10-0 as of losing their base and getting an ACE!
As arallmuus had said, it will probably be Gen. G vs T1 in the Grand finals for The Worlds 2024.
T1 was playing on another level and TES didn't look like the same team that beat T1 in the Swiss stage as they couldn't even win a map on the blue side.

We'll surely have that expected matchup between Gen.G and T1, but it'll be in the semis instead of the finals. I can't wait to watch that series next week if T1 keeps improving as they go deeper into the tournament they might be able to defend their Worlds title.

If things go as expected we'll get a BLG vs. Gen. G matchup in the finals similar to the MSI tournament a few months back.

As always, supporting T1 although I got no damn clue about the game anymore. I used to watch them abit last year but Im clueless this year. All I know is the winner is going to be either T1 or Gen. G so that means whoever wins in the semifinals should be the winner

I would love if both those teams meet on Grandfinals but oh well. I might make an outright bet for T1 to win again this year
If those two meet in the semis T1 will probably get smoked by Gen G, their form has been a rollercoaster recently with hints of performing like the second-best LCK team.

Then again, if they survive against TES it's probably worth buying their underdog odds because the gap between them could easily get close if T1 shows up. Also, Gen G is starting to look beatable regardless of their dominant records this season.

On the other side of the bracket, I hope HLE survives because they're the only team that could keep the series competitive against Gen G or T1 if they focus up and bring their A game.

Thank you for the information @passwordnow and the previous posts on the GG situation from dota professional competition.
At your service, always.  Wink
While waiting for the BB Dacha Belgrade, I want to give everyone and idea that there are some dota 2 tournaments that are happening right now, most of them are tier 2 team tournaments.

These two are already in their grand finals tomorrow.

  • CCT Series 4 ~ Virtus.Pro vs. Dragon Esports Club
  • European Pro League Season 20 ~ Navi Junior vs. DMS

So good luck to these two tournaments that are about to end and the 4 teams.

Wouldn't have known as I am not a huge League of Legends fan but just realized this after tuning into the livefeed of the match early enough for once to see this flash up on the screen right before the match started.

Kinda weird imo, should have stick in one city like the other esports but I guess they want to facilitate all their fans worldwide huh

So it is running until November and is split between venues being in Berlin, Paris and London.

Just like Gaimin Gladiators last year. They were dominating the tournaments and LANs whole year round but then they fell short on TI. It's like the pattern that we're seeing mostly with these teams. They're all strong but some teams are really going to reign against them and even with their primes, they still have some lackluster games.
Talking about Gaimin Gladiators where are they now? Haven't seen them on any of the tables for the tournaments.
It is like they had suddenly vanished off the face of the earth.
Have they disbanded like so many other teams in dota2 had been doing lately?
It seems to be an ongoing trend in the scene whether it be for lack of talent or due to financial reasons.
They are still there but they've replaced their one player, the position 1 player - dyrachyo. The new position 1 they have is watson, a former player of C9/Entity. I don't think that they have a budget constraint as they've got a bootcamp that's really nice. There is even an issue about dyrachyo's gf that has exposed his teammates to be not nice. I'll get on that soon. And we will see them play this upcoming tournament of BB Dacha Belgrade 2024 and it is going to be a LAN tournament. Prize pool money is $1M. Here are the first day matches on October 19.

They lost in the Grand Final so probably needed more time to cool things off. They will be back playing in BB Dacha tournament on 19th October. 4 of them decided to kick their pos 1 so they are going to play with new pos 1. Im actually excited because Watson their new pos 1 has quite alot of potential to be one of the best pos 1 if he has good teammates

I dont think they will ever disband after winning that much, approx $6.1M just from dota2

As for Falcons, its actually great to know that they are no longer dominating the pro scene like they used to a year ago.
They still performed well but it seems that the SA teams know how to beat Team Falcons already. Like Heroic, beastcoast was able to win against them although it's just one game on the playoffs.

It would be boring to watch them keep winning most of the tournament again this year

This is going to be an exciting year for dota2 pro scene for sure
I agree it's been a while since we got an SA team to win it all. I'd also like to say this season of PGL Wallachia was still entertaining even though several top teams rejected the invite.

I totally understand why most teams rejected this because probably some of them are still trying to scout new members for their teams while some dont really need to replace anyone hence there is no reason to join a tournament anymore only after weeks since TI concluded

Anyway the main highlight for this tournament except from Heroic would be Tundra and Falcons though. Tundra despite having 2 stand-in played incredibly well and Im excited what they have in store with their original roster. I dont know what kind of sorcery did you use to even predict this but Heroic ended up winning. What the heck just happened lol. Im glad that I didnt make any live bet because my brain was totally telling me to go for 3-0 on Falcons after they won the 1st map
I'm also lucky that I only wasted a free bet on Team Falcons during the grand final and the Worlds got me occupied when their match started so I skipped most of it and only got to catch them during the post match.

Insane comeback from Navi against Heroic at RIO with a BO5 grand final but I really cannot understand how Navi managed to pull such a comeback from being down 10-1 in 3rd map to win 13-11...and the curious thing about this is comebacks have become something normal for Navi no matter the score. I'm also happy for my romanian player of navi IM who once again proved to be such a skilled player and won that 1 vs 1 clutch that won the map.
Watched abit of the first map so they looked on point.
Then tuned into the half of that last map and the announcer said they were down 10-2 but they were really down 10-1?
That makes it an even more unbelievable comeback!
Alexsib got his first IEM championship win after the previous six attempts.
So good for him as he is one of those veteran players who came into the league with the likes of S1imple and karrigan.

The first map was won by Team Falcons so as my bet and I think that I'll take a gamble with the 5.00 odds of Heroic for the 2nd map. So wish me luck.

Hahaha, I didn't used any sorcery but just an actual thought of gambling with that odds. Whenever the odds seems high, that's attractive to me and I just place my bet on it.  Grin
To be honest, that's also my initial thought that it's going to be a Team Falcons game and likely to be 3-1 or 3-0. But then after the 2nd map, that's when I think that it's possible for Heroic to win the series.

After the game ended, the camera was shifted to Falcons player's face and all 5 of them was dumb strucked LOL. I cant recall the last time SA team win anything since last year but they finally win something. This is going to be an exciting year for dota2 pro scene for sure
I think this is the first time that an SA team won a major, CMIIW. And I like on how they're able to beat Team Falcons. With all of the trashtalks that malrine and ATF have done in the past, it all reflected back to them.  Tongue

So aside from disappointing turn against Heroic, that's another factor for them to realize.
