Buying out is an option and you'd get the best players but it's expensive and not worth it with the prize that they might get and even not going to be enough for that option to do so.
Well for some majors and tourneys then there are really prize pools arent really that worth that have that stand-in
Of course they would really be always pertaining about the prize pool that they could possibly be able to risks on.

Current PP of Game of the Future tournament is on $1,000,000 USD and having that partition of
1st
$350,000
 2nd
$160,000
 3rd
$120,000
 4th
$70,000

Yeah that's the prize pool for the games of the future and you haven't included yet the other placing that have 4 teams for each placing. I'm talking about that it's not worth it if someone is going to buy out and the buy out contract for that player like with ramzes and any of his good teammate will cost him a lot. I don't know much about this L1ga team if it's an esports organization or these are just players that have named their team like that. As for the next big tournament, it is ESL Birmingham. The prize pool is the same with this Games of the future but it's much better because of the EPT points which was also the same with the points before for DPC.

Games of the future for Dota 2, a lot of teams have already eliminated and we're about to get down to 4 teams remaining. The last on going match right now is with PSG.Quest and Boom Esports.

While it is not surprising to see that 3 out of these 4 remaining teams are from the China region. This is already a foreshadowing that we're going to have a chinese team being champion of this tournament.  Cheesy
High probability but not an assured thing. Boom Esports could still have the chance but speaking about XG? Really that hard specially with Ame.

I don't understand why ramzes has to stand on his own and build a new team with set of new and unknown players. I think he's a good mentor to them but if it's with this kind of tournament, he should be in a better team with better players.
That roster was probably formed at the last minute as they're one of the many teams that got invited, and with decent prize money, it's usually better to field a team than to withdraw from the tournament.
I agree.
The participation isn't worth it if he'd just chosen who's available. As far as I know, they've got contracts with their current teams and they can't play stand in to any team just to participate this type of tournament and they have to do some buy out. It's the most expensive thing on the dota 2 professional teams to do. Buying out is an option and you'd get the best players but it's expensive and not worth it with the prize that they might get and even not going to be enough for that option to do so. I am looking at ramzes profile, I haven't heard that he has parted ways with 9pandas but that seems so.

That's a nice temporary boost for Falcons, even though it's only for the Blast Spring Showdown.

So from the matches played yesterday it seems that MOUZ won first place and Cloud 9 took 2nd for this RMR tournament according to the prize distribution table:

Team Spirit won their match so will be in the majors for Copenhagen

Fun fact: PSG has been a sponsor of LGD before until it moved to the MENA region and chose Quest to represent them.
Unexpectedly, this is the only tournament they've been in so they might go all the way after seeing Xtreme Gaming and Azure Ray had an underwhelming performance from the previous BB tournament.
And with what they're waiting on their bracket, whoever wins with Thunder Awaken and Boom Esports will be their next matchup, both from the SA region and I think that they will find it easy to beat any of them, well this is for PSG.Quest. Whilst for LGD gaming, after Neon Esports have won against Winter Bear, they can have a good shot against them.

On the other hand, 4 teams were out already and they'll go home with each of them $15,000 prize money ending with 13th-16th placers.
The only team i'm familiar with is the L1ga team (led by Ramzes) and they already failed before while they had kiyotaka in the lineup so it's expected to see them have another bad result.

Thanks for the heads up on this league in esports @jakelyson !
But the markets are up and available on Sportsbet.io!
You just need to go to the Esports section and select the tab for eBasketball as shown below:

The link to the section is here if you are not able to see it from the drop down menu where you normally can access the Esports section on the site:

No Problem, I just saw it in one of my bookies and then watched the live I think it will be a great addition to one of the topics here in ESports Betting but I haven't seen it in the Sportsbet.io Bookies, but thanks for sharing the link in the Sportsbet.io I will surely make a bet on it when another game pop up I never thought that the ESports section was there it was well hidden in the Sportsbet.io.

The last time I watched it was Indiana Pacers (IceKimi) VS New Orleans Pelicans (Jason) but live right now was the Philadelphia 76ers 2012 (Shooter) VS Boston Celtics (Clyde) for this live game here is the link to the Videos of the games right now

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zX0kHhM3S78

Will be betting on it later when I get home.
These are like the SRL matches they have in tennis all electronically settled but they actually show the matches.
Remember these becoming popular during covid since it was all done over the internet and kept people playing and becoming e-athletes.

On to PGL for CounterStrike 2 updates:
Team Spirit got KO'd out participating in the finals for this tournament with that loss yesterday versus Mouz.
Current matches playing at the moment are: Monte vs Astralis and Apeks vs ECSTATIC

The later matches are Vitality vs ENCE, OG vs GamerLegion and Spirit vs Heroic.

Looking at Entity's roster with their stand-in named, Yowe. He's a good player and added impact to the team While the Games of the Future is on the playoffs. There were 4 teams that have advanced to the quarter finals and out of these 4 teams, 3 of them are chinese teams as listed;

  • Xtreme Gaming
  • Invictus Gaming
  • LGD Gaming
  • PSG.Quest
Fun fact: PSG has been a sponsor of LGD before until it moved to the MENA region and chose Quest to represent them.

On the other hand, 4 teams were out already and they'll go home with each of them $15,000 prize money ending with 13th-16th placers.

  • One Move
  • Echpo4mak
  • L1ga Team
  • HYDRA

Most of these teams are even unknown but still nice try for them and being able to play into this type of tournament packed with top teams, is sure just part of their ways to be one of the top in the future.

One CS youtuber even said if he were to retire now (at 17!) he would still be viewed as the best that has played the game.

I agree he'd be there with one of the best players if he somehow immediately stepped down from the scene. You rarely see those consistent performances when every other top team has been on and off.

Also, we'll get to see him perform later today as the EU RMR B kicks off and they'll be facing ENCE in their opening match.
Team Spirit did beat Astralis yesterday but it was 13-11 so was a close one.

Missed all the opening games, straight 2-0 from most of the favourites so that would be decent profit if only someone had taken them
Same, I didn't realize that the tournament was ongoing and I was too focused on the CS2 RMR matches.  Tongue

I'll do both with my multi, only taking the match-winners for LGD and Astralis. I don't want to be greedy even though the odds are tempting on the map handicap. Another reason to bet against Entity is they're playing with a stand-in and I assume he could be the weakest link in the team.

Anyone betting on games of future tournament games?

I got my bet on LGD to win 2-0 against Entity, odds are great if this hits and I think the china region team usually play so well on group stages like this then suddenly flop on the playoff so I guess I will be taking advantage on this and hope that they will win

That is very difficult to fathom for most who aren't familiar with the way CS has been played for the past 20+ years.

I think Donk is a pure generation talent and I don't think someone will top this kid anytime soon + he didn't even reached his prime yet so imagine how good he can become in a few years. I also don't think he is toxic as some players say that about him and personally I do think the kid is just to good and with the current age he has , it's normal to show emotions from time to time... .

Lec finals today, for a spot in MSI 2024, BDS will be olaying without their toplaner adam whos taking a leave for personal reasons.

They are 3x dogs and i dont think they have a chance todayz with how important adam has been to them. MDK should win this 3-0
BDS almost got the reverse sweep, and it took two losses before MDK got to close the series. In their first two losses, BDS had a slight draft advantage with K'sante, but their sub-top laner couldn't capitalize.

G2 will probably sweep MDK in the finals since they already swept BDS during the upper final, and this series won't be any different, assuming G2 won't draft anything unexpected.

The EU RMR A also ended earlier, with most top teams qualifying except for NiP and Falcons. The team that stood out a bit for me was Amkal Esports, as they had to go through NiP and Falcons.
