I've lost on this match. I thought that GG will take Team Liquid but that's a proud moment for Team Liquid especially for Insania since they've always been beaten by GG for the whole year in different tournaments. As for the lower bracket match of GG against Tundra, they've won 2-1 against them. It was a match of former TI winners and major winners.
I also lost my bet on that upper bracket series, but only a portion of it since I got to cash it out before the odds started moving to the side of Team Liquid.

And speaking of GG, they're lucky to get away with a series win against Tundra earlier today. They made an impressive recovery in the games they've won, but I wonder how long they can hold on because it feels like any team can knock them out based on the two playoff series they've played so far.
Did make out some parlay choosing up Team Secret against 9Pandas but it turns out to be sweep + Betting on Talon Esports vs Liquid on upper bracket semis which it did make things worst.  Cheesy

Now im betting on Betboom on Game 1 and Betting on TS on Game 2, ending up on being that reversed or totally opposite results. Totally unpredictable i would say. Past performances or match
ups dont really that be that precise if you do try on looking back with those match ups and statistics because outcomes and results would be on their next possible match would be entirely be still
random. It all matters on the hero drafts and execution with some mix of luck.

Waiting for Game 3 against BB vs TS and making some bet on TS this time. Odds arent that bad at all.

Counterstrike major is going on in Cologne with the Intel Extreme Masters play-in matches right now.

Saw the Blast Premier Fall groups being played last week but they were short. These play-ins began yesterday and caught a few rounds.
Have a bet on Astralis but they are faultering 7-6 on map 2. Just hope they can pull through to make it a 2-0 win.

Whilst for GG, they've been beaten by Team Liquid on a 2-1 match. So, GG goes to the lower bracket and will be up against Tundra Esports tomorrow. I think the best match for today is Quest and Talon but I'll see it later after the match of 9Ps and BB.
Team Liquid finally broke the curse and they played really well in the third game snowballing hard in the early game (hitting 10k+ lead) and kept on pressuring GG to defend while they're far behind.

The best match for me is the BB vs 9 Pandas series specifically the first game, 9 Pandas should've won that game, but Kiyotaka made a few costly mistakes that gave BetBoom enough wiggle room for a comeback. They also did well in the first two games and might've been drained in the third game as BetBoom rolled them so hard.
I like the third game since it's a one sided match and Nightfall just given life to another forgotten hero which is the Gyrocopter.

@ralle14, are you still not doing bets? I'm really looking forward to your bets in this playoff of Riyadh master.

This is the reason why I don't bet on the match of Liquid and Gaimin Gladiators, odds are really not worth it and we saw Team Liquid's snowball momentum during the last days of the group stage, they indeed dominating right now.
Now they are in the upper bracket, breaking the strong team right now in the league.

Team Liquid will dominate the upper bracket after they beat Gaimin Gladiators.
I only placed this pre-live bet yesterday and also mentioned it on the other thread.

I also avoided the pre-live odds in the other series as they felt like a trap and that's why I went with live betting to see what they'll be drafting each map and it's the reason why I couldn't post any bets yesterday.  Cheesy

I expect TL to cruise in the upper bracket too, but all the remaining teams can still show up.

The underdogs are coming in hot with these upsets on the first day of the playoffs, and BetBoom is the only favorite that advanced to the next round after barely taking down 9 Pandas.

BetBoom has an easy path to reach the upper bracket and we might see another Gaimin Gladiators vs BetBoom final if every series goes as expected.

I also believe this. It should have been BB vs GG in Bali Majors if that Pure incident did not happen. Maybe we can witness it this time. They are the best team that can match GG in strength.
That's really possible and they're eager to beat GG because it's always been them that have became champs for many majors and tournaments. On this one, they want to win against them and not just that but also to take that $5M first prize. Right now, BetBoom is against 9Pandas and it's on a tie 1-1. Waiting for the 3rd map to commence. Riyadh Master Playoffs is starting in a few minutes. Here is my bet for today's matches.

Betboom and Quest is a no brainer. They are performing incredibly well in this tournament. It is no way they will lose against their respective opponents unless something weird happens.

The other two matches will go the long way, I think. GG plays best in the playoffs, but Team Liquid is in a roll lately. They will not dispose them in just two maps. I bet on +1.5 on TL.

The same is with Aster and Team Spirit. These two are equally matched.

The playoff matchups are already out, and Team Liquid is unlucky to face Gaimin Gladiators this early in the playoff. They might be the first team to go down in the lower bracket if Gaimin Gladiators goes into playoffs mode.

Riding Team Liquid and BetBoom's streak, here is my bet for the last day of the Group stage.
Congrats on the parlay win, TL and BB swept their last series to cement their spot in the upper bracket.

I wouldn't call that throw. One mistake for each game really changes a lot for each games situation and there's the snowballing that do happens for the teams that are under farmed and does a comeback.
I agree the mistakes that some teams make while they're ahead are more punishing than before and that's why we see the early leads they've accumulated go down pretty fast in the mid to late game.
I've been always experiencing this in the pub rank games. And there have been times that we're all mega and did a come back and the same goes that we've destroyed everything and only the throne was left but then we still lost. Dota 2 is a tough game honestly, it's mentally draining and that's why even the pro teams, one mistake becomes a good comeback and a lead doesn't guarantee a win to them. It's going to be a mental break down usually if a team comes back just like what happened with the game of 9Pandas and Team Spirit.

Day 5 of Riyadh Masters 2023 just ended
Team Liquid had a perfect day three going 4-0 (one of the games ended in 18mins), and securing the upper bracket spot should be easy for them as they only need to win one game, while Gaimin Gladiators is still struggling to come out ahead and needs to win 2-0 against OG to avoid the tiebreakers.

I'm impressed that the standings are this tight after day three, and every team still has something to play for. We'll potentially see some tiebreaker games for both the upper and lower bracket if every team remains to be this competitive.

Group B competition is really tight. Even Tundra, at the last spot still have a chance to clinch a lower bracket if they win their last series. Team Secret is not yet secured in the 5th spot is Tundra wins. Tie breaker will be forced and they still have a chance to get eliminated.

Gaimin Gladiators is fine. They are in tiebreaker with Team Spirit for the 2nd spot in Group A.

BetBoom and Quest Esports are secured in the #1 spot of their respective Groups. While Xtreme Gaming and OG are the first ones to go. They are now eliminated from the tournament with 5-9 record.

Riding Team Liquid and BetBoom's streak, here is my bet for the last day of the Group stage.

After what I saw until now , BetBoom , Aster , Talon , Quest and even 9Pandas have the best Dota 2 gameplay , drafts and strategies. I'm happy for Talon for finally playing out of their minds as simply let the draft dictate the pace and so far , for me , they are the most entertaining team out there by far. Then goes 9Pandas who could win against anyone ( proof that they beat GG 2-0 today ) but they also could lose against anyone because they tend to be greedy after winning a fight or they make little mistake that eventually will lose them the game but overall , 9pandas are a great team with Ramzess being a 5 time Major winner that could chase the 6th right here.

Riyadh tourn giving the full TI feel

15 million prize pool + 6 matches on at a time, TI season is early this year!

Honestly speaking, they have better production than last year's TI. TI better step up their production value or Riyadh will have a better tournament than they are.

Day 5 of Riyadh Masters 2023 just ended, and we can see that BetBoom is dominating their group with an outstanding 5-0-1 score in the Group stage of the tournament. TorontoTokyo is peaking in his current role as Pos 5. He is making a lot of aggressive plays and save plays. In their last match today against Aster, they made a clinic with almost perfect gameplay from start to finish. Pure is being trashed in the chat of the streams but hopefully he will not do anything foolish that will jeopardize their success in this tournament.

Tomorrow will be the last day of the Group stage and it seems that BetBoom will retain theri spot as the leader of Group B. They are against TSM which is not performing really well.

On Group A, Quest is currently leading the pack with 8-4 score. Even with a substitute, Quest is performing quite well in the group stage. Hopefully, they will be able to carry this to the playoffs.

The crowd favorite, Team Liquid and GG are just hanging in there. Just enough for them to be in the upper bracket. But we all know they are a different beast comes to playoffs, especially Gaimin Gladiators. I would love to see BB and GG go at it on the playoffs and maybe in the Finals. I feel BB is the only one that can challenge GG at this time.

Games are almost done for today and that's why tomorrow's matches are going to be exciting as they are. GG is there and as well as other strong teams.
The weaker teams got filtered out from the play-ins, and with more competitive teams in the group stage, we'll probably see more draws like in the DreamLeague.
You're right, two games were already on a tie. And those games are from GG vs Team Spirts and Xtreme gaming vs Quest. And talking about other teams like TSM, I guess that they're improving and starting to beat good teams' asses just like the most recent which is Shopify Rebellion.
I am watching now the match of BetBoom and Tundra and both rosters have complete players and this is why this game is interesting to me. While the other match of Team Secret and Talon's first game has ended and Talon took the game 1.

9 hours from now, the games are all set and ready for the group stage. The teams are now completed by the other 4 that has got in through the decider matches. I thought 9Panda's aren't going to make it because they did a good job on the first day of the play in but then has been found to have a decider match against Virtus.Pro. This is sad to see that VP isn't as strong as their roster before but still able to get into this tournament that has a lot of prize pool to share to everybody.

I can't catch a single bet on this major so I will just leave it alone and only watch the games. This is pure lottery and a lot of trows happened from 20k networth advantage from teams like TSM , Secret and OG.
