What you guys thinks about Apex Legends making into Esports betting scene ? There is a big tournament on-going right now and I must say the hype on this game has always been there but I do want to see Apex making into betting scene because they do have a lot of important teams competing like TSM , NRG , Furia , Optic ETC so I think they have what it needs to making into betting. Also , you could bet on zones , legends , winner , top 10 and so on.

Also , the game in pro scene is very competitive and a single mistake can cost you a wipe of your time.

I'm thinking this because if a dead game like Overwatch 2 has betting support , why wouldn't apex be there ? the player base is way more big in Apex than Overwatch.  Cool

Isn't there a way to check the MMR or the leaderboards?
There's no other way aside from the screenshot because the leaderboards only show the position.
Okay, thanks. I thought that there's a way that it can be checked since there's a way to check every current game even just for the images and real time trackers.

There are also rumors that 7.34patch will drop just before the TI regional qualifiers begin so whatever strategies teams had before this patch , it just become irrelevant.
It's not a rumor, it's a fact. The one who's assigned in doing these updates have officially posted it on his Facebook and Twitter account. I don't know with his other socials but if you know Wykrhm Reddy then you can check it. He's icefrog.

It seems a patch has just been dropped and most OP heroes have been nerfed including Medusa.  There are also rumors that 7.34patch will drop just before the TI regional qualifiers begin so whatever strategies teams had before this patch , it just become irrelevant.

Complete list of heroes who got nerfed : Brood , Doom , Ember , Enchantress , Medusa , Morph (thank God for this ) , Pugna , Storm ( my favorite midlaner had a brief moment of success it seems Sad ) , Techies ( finally no more techies 1st pick ) , Timbersaw , Undying ( glad as Grab Ally was to big in important fights ).

The teams for the play-in stages are already revealed and group B might be the tougher group between the two as I see three to four teams that can potentially fight for top 2 and avoid the decider series.

Team Liquid will probably dominate in group A again when half of their group has some of the weaker teams like TSM, Execration, and Entity. Or they can play less seriously as the elimination only starts during the decider series.

Oh so true! I forgot about the "second TI of the year" where the prize is up to 15mil$. I was so sure we have no other major until TI but hey , Riyadh Master is something that every team wants to win just because of the prize pool and just because most of the teams will pull out their TI strategies.

I just saw that Secret will be there in the current format : Puppey , Armel , FBZ , Yamich , Heen.  Shocked
I saw their post as well and it's good that they're the ones who got the final spot after seeing them step up during the previous DreamLeague.

Quite the break until regional qualifiers eh ? No major in sight , no small tournaments...nothing. Just a mega silence who will slowly transfer to pressure with TI date getting closer and closer but I guess for now , most of the teams are taking a well deserve break to cool their minds.
There's still the Riyadh Masters scheduled 7 days from now and after that, there's the 3-week break before the TI regional qualifiers.

I doubt any team would take his service when this is one of the tournaments with the biggest prize pools this season and Qojqva is right he needs to show a screenshot at the minimum because no one will believe him when he already has a bad reputation for smurfing.

After the major now i'm hooked back to League and will probably continue to watch and bet until the Riyadh Masters. The EDG match is probably the only game I see worth taking today as i've heard they got Uzi on the roster and i'm only betting with small stakes because LPL is still an unpredictable league.

When it comes to Major then lots had been that criticizing on how cheap Bali Major is.
Now this upcoming Riyadh masters which does have that prize pool of $15,000,000 USD
on which it is really one of the biggest pool except on TI's.

It is really that shocking on how GG do able to dominate the recent majors on having that 3x major champion.
Dont know if they would really be able to snatch up the Aegis on this upcoming TI or they would really be choking like on what we do see on LGD.
Im bit that familiar or having that similarities wayback in Virtus Pro and secret dominating the majors but choke in TI.  Grin

Me too.
This is almost like a TI in prizing and that's why everyone's craving to win those top spots. We can see that most teams are full force, I haven't heard some of them but it's likely that all of them are complete rosters. I think qojqva is just on point so that he'll also take some attention if ever there will be other teams that are incomplete. So, he's just doing it also rightly with that strategy so that both of them will be noticed.

Makes sense since it is a new tournament so having it considered a tier 1 category tournament allows more lesser ranked teams be involved.
It just has a majors feel to it I would assume from the prize pool rewarded to the winning teams.
Still new to the DOTA2 scene so any insight on these tournaments are welcomed @batang_bitcoin

Thank you for the link to the TI Western European to show there are still slots left to fill.

Now we are focused on the biggest prize award for a DOTA2 majors ever beginning on the 19th ending on the 30th.
Here are some news on the event for the teams:

Btw, Riyadh Masters isn't a dota 2 major but it's still a tier 1 tournament because of how huge the prize that's awaiting for the teams that will be part of it. Isn't there a way to check the MMR or the leaderboards? But anyway, that's not a big deal though, most teams are craving for the prize and I doubt that someone won't be able to play but we'll know soon if there have been some visa issues for some players. Btw, what's a mercenary status?

That's a good transition for Gabbi, I think that this contract is just going to be for the qualification of the TI in the Western Europe. Gabbi being a pos 1 before and now transitioned into a pos 3. That's not an easy one but he surely have his practiced and play a lot of games in the pub as a pos 3. Looking at the teams participating this qualifier is like hard to think of. But the good thing is that there are two slots on this region.

Also , GG broke the Wings record without even TI as they had 4 majors back to back wins and to be honest , I don't think we will witness sometimes like this soon enough but also the key to broke GG , is to take ACE from the squad and the rest will follow because ACE is the true carry in that team and also ACE is the true mastermind behind pushes and farm patterns.  Cool

Bali Majors keeping everyone with indepth play of dota2 before the next huge tournament begins for the Riyadh Masters next month?
This seems just as big for the esports community as Wimbledon is for the tennis world in the summertime.
This Major is actually fun to watch but not fun to gamble and I'm glad I don't have any spare money right now to bet in this Major because most likely I would have lost all my money haha. Hard to guess drafts , new teams that I didn't have a single game from them even if I know the players and a lot of other factors that makes this major very hard to guess on gambling.  Besides GG and Liquid who already have low odds , no other team is performing on high level and we can see trows from 9pandas at 1.02 odds and other shady games.
Even the viewers on twitch are mad but the views are so low when we have Major in Asia or NA because most of the viewers are from Europe and Russia.

You're right , summer major always had a special place in Dota 2 community but I would have prefer to have it in Europe.
Love this month with the Riyadh Master 2023 coming up since the Bali Majors just ended with their finals on the 9th.
The Grand Finals had Team Liquid against Gamin Gladiators face-off.

That's true, there will be a potential deduction in their DPC points and that means that last slot if Quest reaches the top 2 then they'll replace them. But if Quest ends early and not reaching the top 2, by luck then it shall go with Execration. Speaking of Team Liquid, they're now in the lower bracket after being beaten by Tundra without saksa and subbed by their coach aui_2000. And funnily speaking, this match was supposed to be for BetBoom and not with Tundra.

Quest have a chance to get an invitation for TI this year but they were blocked by the gatekeepers, Team Liquid. They have a good chance to win the series. They forced a third map, the only third map in today's matches, but Team Liquid's experience overcome the young Quest Esports. They still have a chance on the regional qualifiers, and looking at how good they are playing lately, they have a good chance they can still qualify for TI. There are two slots coming from WEU so they have a high chance they can still qualify.

In regards to TI slot of Betboom, they are confirmed to directly qualify for TI this year. Since Quest lost to Team Liquid, they cannot overtake betboom anymore. Despite the controversy that happened, it is good that Betboom was still able to get a direct invite. Execration lacks DPC points to overtake and take the slot from Betboom.

Team Liquid will have a rematch against Tundra tomorrow for the lower bracket finals. After disposing of Quest earlier, Team Liquid will have a rematch against Tundra tomorrow. Tundra was able to beat Team Liquid, 2-0, yesterday in the upper bracket. Team Liquid will get a chance to return the favor tomorrow on the final day of Bali Major. Gaimin Gladiators are already waiting in the finals. Speaking of GG, I think they have been in the finals in all the majors this year. This just shows how dominant they are.

Another controversy Pure of BetBoom has got in. In the stream of their match against Tundra, it was seen that he was stream-sniping while the game was paused. It was known too that he got into controversy by drawing "Z" on the map. As they've won against Tundra, their won and place in the upper bracket have been forfeited and they're now in the lower bracket facing Azure Ray. And another drama was in, AR don't want to play with them unless they're banned. If no action taken, they'll just forfeit the game.

Pure needs to get sanctioned and not play for the rest of the tournament. I guess that's enough of a punishment for now, though Valve would really be the ultimate judge, jury, and executioner for this unsportsmanlike behavior from Pure. We saw them going so far as banning the player for life for much lesser offenses, although they have become more lenient in recent times so that I believe it will be a lesser sanction.
He's sanctioned already and just waiting for the official sanction that's gonna affect their direct invite to TI. Their manager has already spoken and complained that the sanction was too much for them.

Also, Azure Ray demanding a ban isn't really sportsmanlike too. The previous game does not concern them, and they still have time to prepare against BetBoom minus Pure so it's just them being too demanding for a ban when Tundra themselves don't see it like that.
They're just playing by the book, I'm not tolerating what they're up to but it's in the book and Pure's stream sniping is really a bannable offense. Anyway, both Azure Ray and BetBoom are eliminated.

Team Aster is also out. But with what happened to Pure, there is a potential reduction of their DPC points since it was said that it's per player points. If Quest ends up at least top 2 then they'll be the one to get in for the direct invite to TI but if not, then there's still a chance for Execration to swap position with BetBoom's last slot for the TI direct invite.
If they do receive a deduction in points, then they're fucked and have to go through the qualifiers. Top 2 is doable for Quest if they can beat Gaimin Gladiators today since they've already beaten Team Liquid before, but I hope we see Gaimin Gladiators and Team Liquid in the finals, as I need them for the BSFL.

I guess it's due to Azure Ray's plan to withdraw from the series if Pure wasn't disqualified and that's the minimum punishment for cheating if another organizer like ESL would handle this tournament.

They were already at the upper bracket and should have taken a rest today and be prepared for their tomorrow's match. But with that simple evidence that has been caught, everything has changed within less than 24 hours. They're already out of the Bali major and was eliminated by the Azure Ray and their secured slot for TI 12 has already been gone because there's only 1 slot left and their DPC point should have been enough if no issue has been made for today, but sadly it's all gone.
I was wondering who would be their substitute and i'm surprised that Resolution was there in the venue. Unfortunately, it's still not enough and I guess they're caught off guard as it all happened way too fast.
I saw reports that it should have been their coach but good thing that Reso was there and was on the caster's side. However, totally not enough and they've been beaten badly by the Azure Ray.

Now it's out of their reach and they have to root for 9Pandas to deny Team Aster the 300 DPC points they need. That final spot will depend on who wins today's last lower-bracket match currently, it's 1-1 after Team Aster failed to pull off the comeback in game 2.

If I was not mistaken, I saw Resolution in the panel few days earlier, so I was not surprised Betboom took him as a substitute. But as good as Reso is, he cannot adjust that quickly to how Betboom plays. It is just a shame Pure has to do that. They'll win anyway against Tundra even without sniping. They have the momentum in this tournament to make it to the finals.

9Pandas denied team Aster the 300 DPC points today. Miero was almost perfect with his jumps on his enigma (2nd map) and Axe (3rd map). Miero was always on point on his berseker's call, always catching 2 core heroes of Aster. He was also the reason they won on the second map with enigma, catching core heroes with blackhole. Ramzes was a monster in the 3rd map, and no one could touch him.

But I do not know how that will help Betboom to get to TI. Can you clarify?
