I also didn't see that grand finals sweep coming from the side of BetBoom, I knew they might come out on top against Navi since they're gaining a bit of momentum heading into the lower bracket final while Navi got crushed 2-0. Luckily the series started a bit earlier so I wasn't able to place a bet and already saw Outsiders about to go down 0-2.

The CN Qualifiers will start later and i'm looking forward to the IG vs XG series since both teams look good in the last tour, VG and Aster Aries is another close matchup but there's a bit of roster change from both teams so it's not easy to tell which team could win. With these tight matchups i'll take the over 2.5 on IG vs XG since this will be a good test for IG and I think they should take at least one map as I still have a bit of doubt on XG.

A lot of upsets in Dota 2 right now! Hokori managed to 3-0 Infamous and it was one of the best Dota games I have ever seen so far. I don't even know anyone from this team but seeing how coordinated and how patient they are, I think they have a decent chance of progressing in TI and not be eliminated easily. Their midlane and carry players are so good in creating space for themselves in order to farm. For sure, a lot of bettors are upset with this result from SA TI Qualifiers Cheesy

G2 showed a much better performance than I expected and impressed me. I was thinking like they would lose one map. But it is good to see them getting better in time. If we look at the performances of the new transfers we can see that jks was really good today. He needs to continue to get many frags like this to be helpful for real. HooXi was also not bad today. Especially on Ancient he was a big help with his 16 frags as well.

BIG were terrible I'm afraid. They couldn't win even one map against Outsiders. k1to and syrsoN were horrible on Dust2 with 9 and 6 frags respectively. They still have a long way to go to be able to come back to their old days.

Anyway, congratulations to BetBoom, it was unexpected while everyone is expecting that the slot will be for Outsiders.

Yeah I was one of them though. I was so confident that Outsiders would have won 3-0 and decided to bet on that lol but BetBoom is just full of surprise I guess. Getting to the last chance qualifiers is actually not bad though, they still have a decent chance to get into TI but the other region runner up would be there as well and most likely the WEU region is going to dominate the last chance qualifiers

Na'Vi as a Dota 2 team no longer has that charm compared to when they still have Dendi. After Dendi's departure, Na'Vi is no longer a household name in Dota, and has rather became and obscure name in the Dota CIS region. With the arrival of Crystallize, there was a breathe of fresh air, but it didn't last long. If Na'Vi still wants to compete at the highest level in Dota, they need to do some serious overhaul of their team structure and their organization too. They were at the top, but they just became weak over time.
Na'Vi is no longer that Na'Vi that we used to like because of Dendi and its achievements. But I think, Na'Vi is doing its best to shape their roster and trying to be favorites again. Although they're not the one who have won the TI slot, they're still on the last chance.

I honestly like the current roster of Na'Vi and there's like the sense of former VP players that has much experience to use and help the team together with the other teammates.

What I think they need is to have an analyst or coach. They have artstyle as their general manager now but I think he can be part of the coaching staff again.

Anyway, congratulations to BetBoom, it was unexpected while everyone is expecting that the slot will be for Outsiders.

If someone had expectations for Na'Vi after what they showed yesterday , I feel bad for them because the name itself is too big for the current squad they have for Dota 2 and at this point even the odds are lower when Na'Vi plays simply because of the name they have. BetBoom simply destroyed Na'Vi today and they're doing the same thing with Outsiders in game 1 but I'm sure they will go for a comeback in game 2.

I late realize that sonneiko is in the other side of the team well actually the Navi have a good draft but upon observing they are still using the old school picking of their draft and also they always make a commit when their team is already dead which is like throwing the game. Dendi is one of the signature of the navi but of course not all the time we need to stick what we came from to have more and better experience afaik he is now retired and only to the former navi playing like puppy and kuroky.
Guess what? The Outsiders lost a map for the first time in this TI regional qualifier. And they didn't just lose a map, they were badly annihilated by BetBoom by 0-3. What a comeback by BetBoom. NaVi earlier dropped BetBoom to the lower bracket. But in the rematch, BetBoom showed that they needed it more than Navi by winning 2-0 and then all the way up by surprising the region's favorite Outsiders. But still, NaVi and Outsiders are qualified to travel to Singapore for the last qualifiers.

I was watching this while I was driving earlier. It's gut-wrenching to see Outsiders lose against BetBoom. Well, BetBoom made a lot of great plays and they choked the map so hard against Outsiders that Ramzes cannot find the space to farm. Gpk doesn't seem to be doing his own thing too, which is kinda underwhelming but oh well. They still have one last chance to qualify for TI anyway.

I'm rooting hard for Outsiders more than anyone else this TI. They deserve to be in the biggest tournament of the year.

In the first match Faze managed to beat the easiest team of the group in my opinion. Everyone can honestly say that it is not a very challenging group for Faze. The only tough opponent for them is G2. They managed to win 16-4 on both maps with a good game.
Now the big-outsiders match will be played. Outsiders have built a good roster, but we can say that big has a good roster as well. It will be a very middle match but I see the outsiders team one click ahead.

Things are still not going well for BIG now. They are likely to lose the first map which is Dust2. This is a map that Outsiders play better than them actually. And the second map is Inferno. Outsiders have a 67% win rate while BIG have 0 wins here. Therefore this series could end much more quickly for Outsiders. I really thought positively for BIG about this match but it looks like the nightmare is going to continue for them.

G2 - MIBR is later on and G2 are clearly the favourite. Even though they are trying to recover newly these days they shouldn't have big problems against their weak opponent here. 2-0 win is what I expect from them.
With the losing streak someone posted earlier for BIG while Outsiders was ex-Virtus.pro lineup and Avangar before that, around Jame & co. Of course, the chance for BIG to win against Outsiders is very slim.
map1 is done, 16-9 for Outsiders in BIG's map pick. Next is Outsiders map pick, Inferno.

Same, I guess this will end soon, 2-0 for Outsiders. Seem like I placed too much hope on BIG to eye for the 3rd spot in the group stage. Faze, G2, Outsiders might take all the spots.

It's a pretty easy group for the Faze team. They won the start very comfortably against the portuguese team, losing only eight rounds in total on both maps. In the next group games. I think G2- MIBR match will win both maps, even if G2 has a little difficulty. I'm going to call this match G2 wins as it is a bit risky to guess the two maps. For the BIG-G2 match, G2 is the clear favorite but not a stable team. Likewise, BIG is the same for this match, I can think of BIG, but it would be better if I see today's G2.

In South America, favorite Infamous is already waiting for the finals. The team also never dropped a single map on the way to the finals.

After South America and eastern Europe, we will turn our attention to China and North America as they start their own qualifiers next.

FaZe satisfied the expectations easily by destroying FTW 2-0. 16-4 wins on Inferno and Overpass respectively. Twistzz didn't have a productive day with 12 and 10 kills despite these very comfortable wins. But this isn't an indicator for anything of course as he is still making a big contribution to the team in general. At FTW side, kst was really impressive on Overpass by 21 kills but they had still nothing to do against the best team in the world now.

Outsiders - BIG and G2 - MIBR are the remaining matches of the day. BIG @1.74 and G2 @1.16 are nice options. BIG option brings about some risk but I feel like they will start a decent form by this tournament. Betting on a 2-1 BIG win @3.20 is trying to attract me to itself also but I won't fall for it. Who knows maybe Outsiders will show a poorer performance than the expectations.  Cheesy

This is the most recent match history for BIG. Before these six matches they were in a really great form. But suddenly their performance started to drop down very quickly and they won only once in these matches which wasn't even against a tier 1 team.

Considering these results I think that BIG are still not very credible for the win against Outsiders today. However this is an opportunity for them to put an end to this horrible form at the same time. BIG are normally a much better team than their opponent when it comes to the variety of tactics. They are a very disciplined team I mean and they can go back to those times easily if they fight for it. Maybe it is a big risk but I'm thinking of betting on BIG @1.78. In addition to that, Outsiders haven't played any match for 8 weeks. BIG players might be able to use this as an advantage.

The latest HLTV ranking is out! Check out pic below for the top 10 HLTV.
Faze took the #1 spot from Navi, #2 for now. Navi is at #1 but doing piss-poor at stage round, just barely made it to the playoff round. Now Faze is at #1, the same curse again to Faze in stage round in group B?

Also, Liquid is at #3! A nice surprise since I have a soft spot for Liquid as I've posted before from the old roster Stewie, NAF, Twistzz, Nitro, Elige. This time, Liquid at #3 with NAF, Nitro, Elige, Yekindar, oSee tho. Interesting to see Vitality at #4 with +3 from the last ranking.

Group A matches this and last week for the ESL Pro League Season 16 had huge impacts of the world ranking. FaZe reached #1 without even playing a game, only by NaVi losing 3 matches they managed to pull ahead. The week was pretty terrible for me, lost a lot of bets on NaVi. As a long term follower of NaVi I expected much more from them. The mirage map vs Vitality was super close, could have ended either way and then NaVi would have won 2:0, was an unlucky day  Sad And vs NiP seems the nerves were not holding up. Both have the matches should have been a clear win for NaVi. So far they are still not in a bad position, their round difference is good and they should be able to recover later in the tournament. Group B matches for the are starting today, with the first match being FaZe vs FTW which has odds of 1.02 - 1.04 for FaZe winning, makes almost no point to even bet on this game. The BIG vs Outsiders match today seems much more close and has decent odds with 1.75-1.8 for BIG to win. For me this is the best match today to try and recover my NaVi losses. And tomorrow the match G2 vs BIG should be interesting with G2 likely winning.

Its going to be either Navi or BetBoom against Outsiders at the finals but either way, Outsiders would have win the game against any of these two. They kinda deserved to win the qualifiers though as things have been going out of their way ever since the Russia declared war against Ukraine, they were banned from some tournaments because of it because they are Russian and VP was owned by a Russian company or something
I agree, with the clean and consistent performance from Outsiders it's looking like a battle for second place but I do hope Navi wins so the odds would be a bit better heading into the grand finals.
At this point we all know that Outsiders will win this qualifiers. It is the comeback that they can give after failing to get the invitation to TI thru dpc points. I am betting for Navi too because I think they can give a better series against outsiders in the finals.

I am just curios that there is no offer for handicap in stake. Do you know any bookies that offer map handicaps?

Its pretty lame that I searched some bookies and they were not offering Outsiders -1.5 against Navi so I decided to take the winner option and parlay it with some other game. Glad that it paid off
I had the same experience, it's weird to see the CIS qualifiers only have the series winner market while the SA qualifiers had more markets.

Outsiders is now waiting at the grand finals. But Betboom and Navi, all of these three are now good with their secured spots for the last chance qualifier.
I agree with you that Outsiders deserve to get that spot but they're waiting if they'll get the slot for the grand finals. Renaming the team into Outsiders from being VP is actually a good move by its management and that made them still participate from most Valve events despite the issue about Russia-Ukraine war.
