Yeah, there's one and that's 9class. It should be his first The International but because of the visa issue, he's got replaced by saksa who's also a former Tundra. For saksa, this is a blessing in disguise but of course this is bad for 9Class. Honestly speaking, Tundra has slim chance to win though. If I had to pick my top three to win TI then it would be GG, Team Falcons and Team Spirit. Honorable mentions would be Betboom and Team Liquid on the 4th place. Rather than watching Topson win his 3rd TI, I'd rather watch team Spirit lift another trophy though. Most of the players in Team Spirit has stayed together since their first TI so yeah its kinda sentimental compared to Topson

Back here to see the predictions for Dota 2 TI13. In TI12, TS was the winner, and in TI11, Tundra managed to defeat Team Secret. So, can both teams achieve success again this season?
@passwordnow, do you already have predictions for the TI match?

BTW, it seems that the prize allocation is decreasing every season, unlike The International in the past with its very large prizes. Undecided

I guess it's not that bad of a decision when there's not much content to unravel, unlike the crownfall event. I also heard PGL will be handling the tournament as a whole and maybe it's why TI doesn't feel as exciting as it used to be.

Dude, you've said a real talk in the latter and everything you've said are true. It's different today that you have to win every game and not just to have fun anymore, let's say that it has become competitive but that competition for every individual has gained toxicity and it's hard to contain. When you're a regular working man and your love for this game was there before after work, you gotta sit back and relax as you play. But not today anymore.

Battlepass is no longer a thing or it might be different if this is what they have focused on prior to the TI 2024 but it's not. The teams are going to most tournaments now with good prize pools because they can no longer wait for how much the prize pool of TI because it's most expectedly that it's not going to be a lot anymore. Good thing that there's the Riyadh Masters that has a larger prize pool not just for Dota 2 but for other esports too. The kingdom of Saudi Arabia really is investing into esports and they'll be known for this.

I somewhat agree with the game slowly dying as Valve maybe focusing on something else. On a positive note, it's still in a good position when we compare it to other games that have a smaller player base.

Yeah compared to cs2, dota2 is still ahead for now in term of prizepool across tournaments each year but yeah at this rate its dying

That would be Team Spirit, they won the highest prizepool TI and probably Riyadh Master as well when they still had $15M prizepool iirc? Im not sure with the Riyadh Master winner though

People are moving away from this game for sure because of the gatekeeping, even LOL has its own mobile version while dota2 still exclusively only can be played through pc. Imagine 5-10 years from now, number of people playing this game would drop drastically

That is for sure, AFAIK there's now another game that Valve is testing so I guess they're pushing players to go there while it's on an invite-test phase.

Valve don't want to throw money from their savings but are getting the call from the players. I hope that this year's prize pool will give them a sign that somewhere else, a tournament is becoming better with the prize pool and making the game more competitive. Hate to admit that it's closely there but we are seeing the signs and you know what? Gaben had banned teams to have sponsors on their banners, team names and even players name's. They are pushing away the money that's injecting these teams and players to remain competitive and stay with the game that we all like.

The real OGs are getting older and the items that they're releasing like the BP or compendium aren't really interesting at all. We don't also need more heroes, we've got a bunch of it but more competition that shall attract more players to get onto the game and become pros. But what they're doing is denying all of these sponsorships for this upcoming TI. And to give that reminder, we're just 4-5 days away from it.

Same, the screen time for sponsorships is sometimes annoying, it'll be a breath of fresh air when almost every big tournament is bombarded with sponsorships (from gameplay to break time).

It is one team to await for, Akashi seems to be a consistent player. Not as strong as the others but with his teammates, they really have the chemistry so good luck to them.

That crazy midas bug really plagued the game haha. The abusers really enjoyed it and I've seen a 5-man team did all of it in a pub game but obviously whoever is going to do that on a pro game will seriously get a tough punishment. Speaking Mouz and Avulus, the game is starting has started as of typing this.
