Not only will AZURE make it through the group stage with ease, they will most likely win the ECL. Although G2.iG in Group B also surprises me, they also have 8 points.

Yes, maybe everything is fine with his money, I rarely play ranked matches, I experience emotions much brighter than when I’m in public, so there’s definitely something in this.

An interesting battle was between Quinn and MidOne in a head-to-head match in a replay. Based on this result, the Gladiators advanced to the upper bracket of the playoffs, where they will face G2 Invictus Gaming.
Speaking of Azure Ray, have you seen the long pause that is because there's a bug on the bear of Lone Druid and they have to make it stop. Actually, it was Team Falcons that was dominating in the 3rd match against Azure Ray and I thought that they were winning in that match but then, Azure Ray still managed to win. While on the other match of G2.IG and GG, GG won against G2.IG and that means that Azure Ray and GG will face the next bracket.

Later on we're going to have match in the lower bracket. First match is Team Secret and Team Liquid, I don't think that Team Secret will win on this one but they have broken the expectations of many fans including me but still, it's still Team Liquid for me.

I'm starting to think that BetBoom as an ORG has nothing to do with real esports and they are in the circuit just to make a lot of money , have suspect games , doing awful things when they are playing live ( Pure going on live stream during Bali as example ) and it's not happening just in Dota but all over the other games. As today in CS they had one of the most easiest games in CS on a favorite map and they lost 13-5 after they were down 12-1 ...so yea , I really don't have any faith towards BetBoom as an ORG and it's sad because 2024 it will be an year where gambling sites and especially BetBoom will organize a lot of tournaments into esports.
There was this rumor about the CIS players and teams that have been involved with massive betting and that's actually more than the money that these players can earn professionally. I don't know, it seems that it has been normal there and the real pro players are just avoiding to get involved with any unforeseen activities with their pro matches.

I've watched the game of Azure Ray and Blacklist Rivalry, both ended up today with a 3-1 and that's a good start for both teams. Whilst for Wawitas Sagazes, they're like a bonus round for the first day.
While you and I are watching Azure Ray, in Group B LGD and 9P are losing and sliding down the table. In 2 hours they will play each other, there will be a battle of the titans))

Azure Ray have not lost a single map yet. I think they will win the tournament.
Azure Ray so strong, they're unlikely to get eliminated on the group stages. Wawitas Sagazes still has last game tomorrow but even if they win 2-0, they're already out of this tournament after that match and they'll go home with $25,000 placing 11th-12th. And their co-bracket team, Blacklist International needs to win 2-0 just to have a chance not to be eliminated.

as soon as I see that someone is returning, the first question is: did he run out of money?) If not, then he should have told him that he was going on a break or rest from the Dota 2 and would definitely return. We have seen and will see more than one such return)
I don't think he'd run out of money. The passion for these players is unexplainable because it's still different to play competitively than just play with the pubs. The feeling and emotion are different there and he's still talented, that's why a team/org still hired him as their representative and player.

Ame is still said as the uncrowned king.

This means nothing at all unless he win TI.
Well, that's true. It doesn't mean anything but it's just the fans that has given him that title because he's so close in taking that but still did lack of success achieving it.

Similar praises was given to Arteezy as well but he never really show his full potential and never win TI
Yeah, I know. But with the past performances of arteezy, it seems that he's proving to himself that he's not going to win any TI title anytime soon because he don't even want to buy a BKB.  Grin

so it doesnt mean anything unless you can really prove yourself by winning the Aegis obviously.
That's right. Ti has become the basis now for someone's success and that's why most of the players have been trying to focus on being qualified on it together with their team. But I think that it's going to change this time, the biggest potential large pool goes to the Riyadh masters and there can be a sense of more achievement winning there than of TI when the prize pool isn't that big compare in the past. So, time changes and we'll see if the basis are going to change over time.

Lost this because BB sucks so bad. I couldnt believe that they lost a map against Secret

I had better winning rate on single bet but it just feel abit weird not to win any parlay on dota2 betting so lets try this once more

Betboom should be able to secure 2-0 against Blacklist. As for Azure ray - GG, that totally screams draw for sure. I might make another single bet on the draw because this one has a good chance of hitting

Especially with the new system on EPT point, there wont be that many points like last season so the best team on each region will be going to those ESL sponsored tournament to get those EPT points which means hiring an entire squad of the best team in NA and SA is the best option that any team could hope for now. MENA region might also be another good region to start for an organization to start with
These points system might be implemented by the regular organizaters of tournaments that have been doing major tournaments. And I agree that the best region to start for some teams is MENA because it's still young and new and there's not that a lot of teams competing from the qualifying tournaments.

Kinda wonder how good will this guy play, I mean he hasnt been on competitive scene for over a year so he might be rusty abit. Ana was a top player before he decided to stop then he wasnt really the same guy anymore before he stopped playing competitively
I don't think that he's rusty at all. There's not that much difference when someone who's been out for the pro scene for a year but still played a lot of pubs. And yes, ana stopped competitively but never stopped playing in the pubs. But it's different with ana, he is past his prime and that's why he's a bit rusty now together with other great players before. Ame is still said as the uncrowned king.

Alright, this rumor tend to be true and Team Undying's team name now changed to Tundra Esports. This is a nice move for Tundra so that they'll still have their organization in the meta, former TSM/Undying players ain't that bad at all. Knowing that there's not that much competition in the NA scene, so this is a smart choice for them.

And guys, guess who's back?
News: Chinese Dota 2 legend Ame returns to pro play with Xtreme Gaming

Who is excited to see Ame in the pro scene again? I know that most of the fans here including me wanted him to see reunite with his former gang in LGD. Currently, Xtreme Gaming is just composed of two player, him and DY. For sure that there are arrangements already and we'll need to wait further about their announcement on who are the other three players that will be added to the roster.

Day 1 end for the ESL One Kuala Lumpur. Few surprises as 9 Pandas and LGD performing subpar. Gamin Gladiators lost map 1 to secret, that was out of the blue as well, as I was expecting GG to 2-0 that matchup.
Those that have 0 loss for this day 1, they've got advantage that they won't get out of this playoffs.

Whilst those that are under and part of the bottom 2 and 4, this is going to be hard for them. This is a points system and much worse if there's a tie on the day 3.

Most teams really need to do their best to take their momentums on the very first day because if they don't do so, they'll have hard time on the second and remaining days.

Ame has retired for a couple of times now and just comes back to Dota every so often. The guy is restless until he wins that elusive TI trophy. I still watch some of his games every so often and he's still as crisp on pos 1 as he was during his tenure with LGD. I'm not sure whether a complete comeback of the former LGD crew is possible with him joining to Xtreme Gaming. Dy is a good familiar teammate to him, and hopefully Xtreme Gaming posts some good wins at the start of the year leading up to TI.

11 hours from now, we're about to see the start of the ESL Kuala Lumpur 2023. Where are you guys? Where are the Dota 2 folks here? Let's start some discussion as I cannot cover most of the updates as I only see a few and most likely none of them regarding players and updates if someone's going to play for stand in or not.

RUMOR: Tundra Esports might move to NA and will take to their wings the roster of the released TSM players which is now named, Team Undying. While I don't see yet the name replaced for Team Undying into Tundra Esports so, this is still a rumor. What do you think of it? The last team I've known Tundra is remaining only with Topson and if the entire Team Undying going to be taken over by Tundra then it's all out for Topson.

After the 2-peat achievement of Topson, despite one of the best mid laners out there and proven to be a team player. He's like a stray dog in the proscene now. It's entirely different with his former gang with the roster that he's got with OG before. Speaking of him, what team do you think still need a strong mid as him?

I think that Topson will be very difficult to join any team, I sometimes even think that with him no team will reach high places.
I guess he's just done with his prime. He went from SEA back to EU and then still didn't manage to end with good places. Dota isn't just all about individual skills but it's a team game. Compared with his relationship and team plays with the real og, OG. It can no longer be compared with the power of friendship and chemistry for which we are seeing this with current Team Spirit.

Azure Ray defeated Secret and started well, now they already have 3 points. Considering that they could have been suspended, their performance is much more interesting to watch. It’s a pity that I didn’t have time to watch this match, it took place early in the morning in my country (

BB played to a draw with GG and Wawitas Saga. And thaey need to start winning, because a draw only gives 1 point, that’s not enough.

Tomorrow for me there will be the most interesting match AZ - BB, BB will also play with SECRET, I hope this will not be another draw) I would like to see amazing games.

with some statements from Yatoro that the Aegis in the TI is a scam because they're just allowed to keep it for a night and then will be taken away from them the next day.

So basically Valve reused all those aegis every year huh, kinda lame. I thought the winner would be able to keep them but honestly it just doesnt really make sense to keep them either because most team or organization got disbanded in a year or two after they got The Aegis.
Probably, I don't know about OG's story about the Aegis but it could be the same or they're able to keep it. But as we are all expecting, it's a trophy that the champions should keep forever, right? It's a plaque of their success for being the best team for the entire year. Yes, there goes the teams that disbanded after taking the aegis but Team Spirit is still intact but with just 1 changed player.

I think the matter of fact here is the authenticity that it came from Yatoro who's now a 2 time TI champion. It's just sad that the moment that should be theirs with the aegis was taken away, anyway they can just make their own plaques and trophies and display it to their salas or rooms. But I've seen collapse has a better trophy with that brand new car or it was just a photo op.

ESL one is coming boys, time to revamp this thread with dota2 betting. Obviously group stage is the worst when it comes to betting especially on bo2 games and its even worse this time because this is the first official high tier tournament in the new season so any shit could have happened in the group stage

This weekend the semi and grand final is happening of the BetBoom Dacha 2023. It was kind of sad to see Furia being eliminated after there strong win against Astralis, but both Spirit and Virtus.pro played much better and deserve to be in the semi finals. The first match today is going to be BetBoom vs Virtus.pro and should be won comfortable by Virtus.pro. They are the much stronger team and didn't lose a match yet in the tournament, for me they are the clear favourite. The second match today is going to be MIBR vs Spirit, where I am going with Spirit to win the match. It's nice to still see a Brazilian team in the tournament, but I think Spirit is much stronger and should win easily. Also, the two teams played against each other during the qualifiers and Spirit won 2-0. The most likely grand final tomorrow is going to be Virtus.pro vs Spirit, where I am going with Virtus.pro to win the tournament. They reached the first place in the group stafge and beat Spirit 2-0 earlier this week already. Should be a good final, which might be going into overtime on one match, but Virtus.pro will win in the end.

Yeah, I remember that about Korben and still he insists about that disqualification because of the three players replacement for the roster. I don't know why he's still into it when the fact that Team Spirit was said to be taking a rest for this year and won't participate to this big tournament before this year ends.

I didn't know that there's still some point system because I thought that the entire pointing system(DPC) is going to be changed. Yes, I know that these points aren't with the DPC but with this EPT points, let's see on how teams are going to take it and for sure that there's gonna be another basis for this one.

What people are waiting for now is the Riyadh Masters that's said and rumored to have that $45M prize pool and every team is going to be crazy about it and who knows if Team Spirit is going to cash out and participate that tournament again.  Tongue
But Korben is always in my news feed, although he should calm down and relax during the upcoming New Year holidays.
Then just ignore him if you're bothered by him, hehe.  Tongue

$45 million in prize money, such a sum is mind blowing! If this is confirmed, I will fall off my chair) With such prize money from Riyadh Masters, everyone’s favorite TI will fade into the background. Money changes the location of tournaments and it seems that no one will compete with the Arab sheikhs in conquering the e-sports market. From such a large sum, several more professional teams should appear, because the stakes are very high.
Valve should give themselves a break if this is going to be another real prize pool. Because instead of the players craving to go to the TI, they're now going to focus more with the Riyadh Masters because the huge prize pool is in there and with some statements from Yatoro that the Aegis in the TI is a scam because they're just allowed to keep it for a night and then will be taken away from them the next day.

Based on the experience, the Aegis was only with Team Spirit for one night before Valve took it back, which he described as a "scam".

Who are the CS2 fans here? G2 esports is also now in Dota 2. They've just sponsored a team and it's not just a team but one of the strong teams in the Chinese region, the Invictus Gaming.

They'll be now G2.IG.

More and more teams are going into the Dota 2 this time and I hope that there will be more because a lot of teams don't have a sponsor as of now.

passwordnow, remember our recent discussion about the 3rd replacement and Azure Ray?

Still, Korben was wrong with his words about Azure Ray and here’s why. The fact is that they recently introduced new EPT rules and even included the previous Dream League with points, which also caused a small scandal among the teams. Points from the TI are not counted because it was not carried out by ESL. According to these new rules, 3 substitutions are allowed, but the points immediately turn into 0. Azure Ray was already with 0 points, so these changes did not affect them at all.

The final table looks like this:

Ahaha, according to ELS, BB is now in second place. But after Kuala Lumpur everything will change.
