gla1ve plays down Spirit defeat: "Overall, I think we've looked pretty solid"

losing 16-1 was such a huge blow for Astralis that the IGL needed to come out and say this

tomorrow: Virtus.Pro - Astralis. Bookmakers have the underdogs moneyline at 2.4x odds which is actually pretty low considering they'll be playing the almighty danish team. VP didn't drop a single map vs. Furia, NiP and Vitality in the lower bracket of group stage. I seriously don't know how this is gonna go :/  thoughts?

My pick for today is Neon @1.6 vs T1, last time they met it ended up 2-0 for T1 and with both teams still fighting for the major spots it could go to all three maps but i'm more confident on Neon's recent form than T1.
This match has over 2.5 maps written all over it for me. <...>
winner, winner!

I'm skipping league for now since this week seems to be the last week of CIS, SEA and EU upper division and it's becoming interesting with the potential tiebreaker scenarios.

This match has over 2.5 maps written all over it for me. I am expecting it to go the distance since the teams are sort of equal and if one does not out draft the other significantly in both maps should pass easy. For safer option I have took T1 to win one map. Also very important match to clinch that 2nd position which makes over maps even better bet.

Anyway should be a good match and I actually placed the bet to give me something more to cheer about while watching it Smiley

OG vs Secret has just been finished and Secret showing that they can remain on top even though they have lost game 2 of the series. Its really good to watch OG bringing out their play style which is just running at the opponents but Secret is just too good. I really hope Secret can keep this dominance once the pandemic subsided and different regions can start playing again. OG on the other hand will be facing a tie breaker with two teams. Its just impossible to create a bubble for this players because there will be so much players gathered at one location but as Gaben have said, its possible for New Zealand to be that location.

Team Secret already qualified or got the direct invite for the Major that's upcoming in Singapore, this is a LAN game. While Alliance is on Group Stage Invite and Nigma is on Wild card invite.

gtfo, FunPlus Phoenix! they suspended BO for match fixing[1] and a couple hours later the team lost 0-2 vs. Team WE because his replacement is dogshit...ffs, at least wait until AFTER the match to kick him out lol

did someone manage see how much the odds moved after this news?
anyway, gonna avoid adding FPX to any tickets for the rest of the season or at least until they sign a proper replacement

Wow that's very surprising to see and looks like some are already speculating the ban would last to nearly a year at minimum. They're very lucky that the bans from Riot aren't harsh if the same thing happens on dota it'll be permanent lol.

I checked the odds on their next match which is against RNG on Saturday and there was a bit of movement from 1.5 to 1.6. I'm tempted to take RNG on this match since they've only lost once so far currently 6-1.  Cheesy

Navi went to over time, it was very nearly a pay-out but as always it seems safe to stick to 3 maps on this though it was lower odds its not bad any time its 2x or more.     Day of the underdog basically, I know Spirit are deadly but Astralis nearly lost 16-0 which is surprising for by far the dominant team world wide.   I attribute it to so much online gaming, general malaise and I will stick more to underdog and 3 map type bets.   I did go 3 maps with 1 bet and it was the largest bet but not quite covering the stakes, still Im not mad any time underdogs win tbh.

I've been away from esports for 3 days and i feel like i missed three full tournaments with the amount of games i skipped  Grin

Spirit beat Astralis earlier today! what were the odds for that? i knew Spirit was gaining momentum. A clean 2-0 from Gambit against G2 is another big upset, i'm suddenly getting flashbacks of Gambit winning a major a few years ago 😂 Vitality shit the bed and Liquid are 1-0 up vs. NaVi...whew! profitable weekend for the bookies  Roll Eyes

Btw, LPL is coming back torromow! And I have one ticket:

FPX have dropped only two games in 8 matches and it happened in one match, against no other than the best team in the league EDward Gaming. Generous odds tbh, hopefully it isn't a trap (:

Navi and Astralis to win out, odds arent terrible but the bet I saw which makes fair bit of sense is Navi 2-1 beat over Liquid which yields odds over 3.
Liquid won their map pick, but Navi are the heavy favorites in the next two maps given their recent winrate %, could totally be a 2-1 for S1mple & Co

How do we comprehend this? Astralis, one of the greatest eSports(CS Go) team of all time against a team ranked 16 that we barely ever get to see at later stages of main events. They just crushed Astralis 15-0 on Dust 2. Astralis the tactical geniuses. <...>
typical Spirit. One week they look like a top 5 team beating the main favorites left and right, the other week they're shit. Maybe Astralis relaxed a little bit today knowing that they already were in the playoffs so winning didn't matter? sounds like your usual fanboy excuse, doesn't it?? =P

They just crushed Astralis 15-0 on Dust 2. Astralis the tactical geniuses. The ones who use nades as their main stay weapons. couldnt manage to get a single round on a T sided map as T. Unbelievable. CS Go has been nuts, past couple of weeks. Chopper went 20 Kills and 5 deaths against Astralis on Dust 2. In the other fixture, G2 another favs to the tournaments, who are picking up form slowly lose to another CIS team in Gambit. Its been a great day for CIS. Niko was the only G2 player to come out with a positive K/D(+3). While Sh1ro from Gambit went +25. Madness.

Rare occasion for me in that I bet just the favourites today where as normally I just go underdogs of some kind.  Maybe I add something during game, sometimes a team is cold start stall and sits there like wet fish dying for 6 rounds or so then wakes up bites their heads off like Jaws  Tongue     Navi and Astralis to win out, odds arent terrible but the bet I saw which makes fair bit of sense is Navi 2-1 beat over Liquid which yields odds over 3.   I would go 3 maps anyway but thats a reasonable bet to place rather then just Navi.    Liquid to win betting that same way is 5x or 6x if you want to say Navi win no map.   It is possible and even worth a long shot at those odds, Fallen was doing excellent work when I saw him in game but I dont think overall the team effect is there for me to go that way.

I'm currently watching and betting on DreamLeague Dota 2 / Vikings.gg VS Tundra and so far it's 1-1 and I caught the 2nd game going in the favor of Tundra and I took game 3 too. I'm waiting for the next days games after this one as we will have OG vs Secret in BO3 and I can't wait to see that one as Secret always have some paybacks to deliver to OG because OG were better than Secret in most of the DOTA TI  Grin

Surprisingly, EG lost to Quincy Crew even though having a solid performance with the first game then losing the next to games is just really weird for them and I'm feeling a sudden roster change might happen but their cores might stay. This DPC season is really great because of the versatility that it brings out in most regions specially in CIS when VP picked a Huskar jungle/support but ended the game within 15 minutes. I'm still hoping for games that would be played by EU/CIS and NA DOTA but the lag issue is still a problem. SEA and China is also being left out but at least they are bringing out some good games within their own regions.

Anyone watching Liquid vs Vitality? Team Liquid are playing good CS surprisingly. It has come down to third map against Vitality and its Mirage and so far they are really playing well as T in a CT sided map. It is 10-5 and Team Liquid are up atm. Mirage is the same map where they beat Faze couple of days ago and they were so strong with T side and with their plays.

Finally we got some Dreamleague action today and I got OG to win @1.61 vs Liquid. There's only two games left for OG and even if they have a good record at the moment this match is the big deciding factor for the major spot as they'll be facing Team Secret on their last game and I don't think they'll have a chance against them.
I am on OG match line here as well, as you said they can't really count on beating Secret in the last game. Better to secure the spot today in what should be an easier encounter for them.

I am officially hooked to eSports now, getting ready watch OG rather then football even though there is a lot of games going on Smiley
Game 1, Qojqva playing on his Lone Druid. You gotta be careful. Liquid got NP as well, with Puck..really good for pushing as well as de-push along with Willow, Sand King. Really HYPE'd up for the game. Its an Alc game.. so, its an ALC game. Lets see how it goes.

T1 performed great, and its natural for T1 to be the one favored as they are indeed the crowds favorite, but as of now T1 is at the bottom of the standings with a record of 4-5. Faker is the only experienced player in the roster as Teddy is being benched.
In their last two series they did look great but it was against weaker teams which is already expected, we could say those wins might've boost their confidence after having a tough record this split but DRX is no joke though. They're still a decent team despite losing their key players Chovy and Doran.
