Eternal Fire have officially said goodbye to the ESL Pro League by being eliminated by NaVi in the quarter finals (2-0).  Sad
Yeah their EPL journey ended but what a good run. Nobody would've guessed EF going on 2-0 streak against Liquid, Astralis, BIG, and C9. But still, beating Navi close to their top form is just another level.

I didn't like Eternal Fire's effort against NaVi by the way. It was like their plans were ruined too easily and they struggled a lot. I don't even know why they picked Anubis on which NaVi are playing dominantly.  Huh
It's unfortunate that EF's top map pick was Vertigo, which is Navi perma ban Cheesy But yeah not sure why didn't pick Overpass or Inferno instead.

My bets for EPL today.

This year's compendium seemed to be lackluster. Heck, I might even go my own way and say that if you got the anniversary items that Valve released (the ones wherein you need to win 13 times in order to unlock it) is even worth grinding compared to the contents of this year's compendium. I don't expect people to actually buy it and spend money to get the levels. It might even force people to just do the 'abuse' route to get the maximum rewards rather than buy the levels. It's as if the Dota 2 team no longer wants to cater to its player base with how the rewards are setup.

It is by design as far as I know. Valve is trying to spread the prize money across the season now, instead of having TI with the highest prize pool and then very small tournaments throughout the season. The reason being TI has become far too important as an event and the rest of the season is becoming lackluster and teams aren't competing hard enough at the smaller events. So, basically the plan is, Make TI smaller compared to the previous installments and then have slightly higher prizepools for majors and lower tier events.

This move is just to keep the Dota scene, even at the lower leagues active and to support the smaller teams and players by increasing the prizepool while taking a cut out of TI. I guess there's sustainibility issues already in the event management scene, when it comes to Dota as there are fewer tournament orginizations left because, it just hasn't been profitable enough for them to sustain Longterm.

I understand Valve's move in trying to make all DOTA 2 events significant and more interesting by increasing their prize pools. I think it was last year or the other year that said that the game's player numbers continued to drop in significant numbers. So it really makes sense that Valve needs to take action. The current TI prize though is just too small compared to its previous years. It seems like it is no longer like the anticipated event some years ago where all of my friends are watching even if most of us are no longer playing the game.

I am not sure why there are limited new players in DOTA 2. Maybe the game is harder to play? I admit that the characters are not that cool, unlike the other games' heroes. In DOTA 2, most of its heroes are monster-looking.

Eternal Fire have officially said goodbye to the ESL Pro League by being eliminated by NaVi in the quarter finals (2-0).  Sad

Honestly I was really excited after seeing a Turkish team reaching this level after a long time in one of the most prestigious tournaments. Because the last time I saw a big success was like 5-6 years ago. There was a team named Space Soldiers back then and we have familiar names here at Eternal Fire also.

I didn't like Eternal Fire's effort against NaVi by the way. It was like their plans were ruined too easily and they struggled a lot. I don't even know why they picked Anubis on which NaVi are playing dominantly.  Huh

Anyway I can still consider this as progress for Eternal Fire. They have beaten much bigger teams 2-0 until reaching this level in the tournament. They must continue improving this playing level to be more successful.

Pretty sure they can think of more than just that. They can say that this year's TI prize pool will be distributed throughout the year without affecting the battle pass contents. I'm no longer playing Dota 2, but upon seeing what's in it, I just felt sorry for the long-term players and supporters who are always looking forward to buy the year's compendium.

This is officially the worst sales start in the history of compendiums/battle passes since 2015.

Totally expected this to happen since last year. We cant keep this TI prizepool to be that huge anymore. Most of us that play regularly or follow this game's update has been growing older. Some of us even had family now compared to like 5-8 years ago so yeah no wonder that we will be getting lower prizepool for TI even if those compendiums stuff are good

After such words, the desire to buy it disappears.

Well I might buy some just to support this old timer game but yeah I dont even play it anymore since few years LOL
Ultimately, I think that this is a very worthy result, the very fact that the game can still collect something after 12 years. Yes, with my family, the time spent playing the game has become much less, but this is logical. I still play with some acquaintances who are at a very far distance from me. I haven't seen them for years, but in the game we communicate, doing fun things together. This is the only reason I still play this game.

This often happens with Valve due to lack of contact with the community. It’s unclear where the company and our favorite game are heading. They wanted to try to bring something new to the battle pass, but users didn’t really like it. I hope they have some kind of plan for future years, I don't want this to be the beginning of the end for the game.

Dota 2 Compedium have been released by Valve and fans seems to like it so far even if the sales on this one is not like the previous years... .

Also , Valve said that a new patch will drop after TI will be over as they don't want to ruin the current meta of the game where almost everything seems stable and without important bugs.

Today I sold some of my things and saved up to buy a compendium, but based on reviews from reputable streamers and players, I’m in no hurry to buy it. Here are some of them:

Nix: "I can't find a reason to buy a compendium"
NS Kuznetsov: “Frankly speaking, there is nothing interesting there at all”
RAMZES666: “There’s no prize money at Inta, what the hell. It’s all annoying.”

After such words, the desire to buy it disappears.

Cant really still make out those conclusions though because we know that dota players on this generation do still continually to add up but i do agree on some points that to those people who are really that still playing until now which we do really have our own family. Just like me on which i've been playing ever since when im in highschool on which now that im already 32 of age and having my own family then you would of course be
prioritizing your family needs on which it would be resulting on having that lesser expense on buying up that Battle pass compared into those days which im not still married on where i do always love to buy
BP on huge or big levels or simply spending up that much.

Honestly, i was really that totally disappointed with the Compendium update recently, those are just skins and some wheel chats and i was expecting for some Immos or arcana
but we do fail on such expectation but i have seen somewhere that they would be adding out later on?

Of course it's your choice to take bets and I have no chance to interfere with that.I'm just stating my opinion here.If we compare Astralis and BIG teams and they were to play a match right now, I would probably expect Astralis to win. For this reason, I can say that I made such a comparison, thinking that EF will not have any trouble beating BIG.I don't follow teams other than EF much lately, but I said that I want EF to improve its performance and maybe have a great success in the last CS:GO tournament with the opponents it beat in this tournament.

The thing is, I've been having incredible luck with betting on underdogs sometimes hence I keep betting with the similar options. If you look at my previous post, there are two bets and I lost the bet on BIG but managed to win the unique bet as I bet on T side to win more rounds. The odds was decent for an underdog bets and yeah I won that so I probably wont stop for a while on betting on the underdog options  Smiley

For example, today's Vitality-Monte match could be an example of this. The majority, of course, bet on Vitality, while some people prefer to bet lightly (and by lightly I mean a small amount) on Monte.
I've already mentioned that since both teams are bad on the CT side, it will be a match where the one who plays better on the T side will win, and the fact that there are such betting options is a beauty for betting lovers.
I don't see a problem with taking risky bets, but it's a pity when we play it in a collective coupon.

In the other parts of the Dota community, it's nothing but hateful comments about the Compendium, as most players weren't expecting the rewards to be minimal.

I'm also not a fan of the Compendium they've released but there's no need to put more fuel in the fire when the tradeoff was getting more game updates this year.

On the bright side, we have something to look forward to after TI since they mentioned a few things at the end of the announcement.

CSGO turned into CS:2
What are you thoughts about this folks? Do you think that with this change some players and teams will capitalize and might be able to become better and the others could be the downfall for this update? I haven't played yet but it seems that this newer version of Counter Strike needs more graphics so those that have potato PCs might have problem playing the game. I haven't tried it yet on my potato PC but hopefully it works but I don't think so since it's under the minimum requirements.
There are many opinions about CS2. Those who like it love it very much and those who don't like it don't like it at all. I'm stuck in the middle because some features have been completely canceled and many players complain about it. You can't bunny hop comfortably, like in CS:GO, or you can't do FerrariPeek anymore. The game mechanics are completely different, but the more realistic graphics and everything is perfect. Potato may cause some problems for PCs, so I lowered it to the lowest settings, the image gets a little pixelated, but it becomes playable.

I love it. Been playing CS2 only for the past month, the improved graphic with Source2 engine makes the environment and especially weapon skins look so much better.
I've watched some live streams that played CS2 and all I can say that it's truly and way better than the older version.

Regarding new players rising with game change, most top players will stay on top but I expect to see some new names in the coming months. Even though the core mechanic of the game hasn't changed that much, the change in smoke, subtick, and MR12 could shake some things up.
There could be a little adjustment for the pros but they're adaptable and it's their professional so basically, this is an easy adjustment for them. And for some new names coming, that's for sure as this could also be the meta for them.

Eternal Fire has improved a lot, especially after the arrival of coach Fabre, there is a noticeable increase in game planning. We are going through a time when the roster is just settling in and they need to show themselves in big tournaments like this.9 INE,C9,TL and lastly Astralis 2-0, EF managed to defeat BIG team 2-0 today, which we can also say as XANTARES' former team. Although they had difficulties on the vertigo map of their choice, they managed to come back from 14-10 to win the map 16-14 against BIG.
Yeah, what a performance so far. I was confident when BIG got the lead in vertigo but sadly they couldn't close it in their CT side.

This makes me worry for Navi, I hope they can stop EF win streak tonight.

Besides, if we compare Astralis and BIG, I can say that Astralis is a stronger opponent than BIG.A team that beat Astralis should definitely beat BIG.

I was betting on BIG to win as well and I personally think that in some cases on csgo, there are teams that works like rock paper scissors against each another and in this case I think BIG could win against EF. Well this is my personal opinion on this  Smiley and Im not really fond on csgo as well, Im only betting on this because I love to bet on esports and high tier dota games are on break till TI so yeah

I just kinda hoping that GG won't be the same as Team Secret on a few years ago when they were kings of the majors and then didn't ended up with good placing in the TI.

Hopefully they wouldn't. The past TI, they seemed to be strong in the Majors and prior tournaments from the International, but they fell of extremely fast compared to other teams that are deemed to drop of the tournament at the earliest stage. It's like they are destined for grace, but as soon as the real competition is there, they just fall from it, and perform like amateurs in the main stage.
I guess that if we're going to take a look at the histories of most teams that have performed well during their majors and entire year's run, many of them didn't do good in the TI.

I think there's a reason behind that. Like for example, Team Spirit, they weren't so good at their year run prior to their TI title. It's because that these teams are able to study the weaknesses and strengths of these teams because they're all exposed.

And that's also why there are darkhorses each tournament. All of them are strong and the odds are already out.

We've got less than 2 weeks for the start and the prizes aren't out yet.
