[DOTA 2] Basically Day 3 of OGA Dota Pit ended up without any major upsets. Now, we are looking for the end play for both groups. In the last 2 days we will find out which teams will go to playoffs, and which will be eliminated after the group stage of this tournament. My picks for Tuesday:

HellRaisers - ViKin.gg: ViKin.gg ML, 1.94 @ MY BETSLIP
OG - Alliance: OG ML, 1.54 @ MY BETSLIP
Virtus Pro - Team Liquid: Virtus Pro, 1.98 @ MY BETSLIP
Team Secret - Team Spirit: Team Secret -1.5 ,1.27 @ MY BETSLIP

HellRaisers should be slight favourites here, but Vikin.gg has a chance too. Both teams are pinned at the bottom of the group A. HellRaisers with 2 losses out of 2 matches, and Vikin.gg with 3 losses. HellRaisers still didn’t manage to take a map in this tournament, while Vikin.gg took a map off Alliance and FTM. Good enough to beat HellRaisers? I don’t think so. But when we check HellRaisers match history, we see that they are on a big downfall, with four straight 0-2 losses. Their last win was vs Team Spirit, and that was a very close 2-1 victory. Vikin.gg has 2 wins out of their last 5 matches. Let’s just say those wins were vs much weaker teams then HellRaisers, but plus is that those teams were from CIS region - Empire Hope and Nemiga. That’s a big plus for them coming into this match vs another CIS team. Both teams need a win to stay in the competition and have a chance to advance on. This will be a hard match as neither team is performing flawlessly currently, but according to their last showings, I would definitely pick Vikin.gg here. Good value in this bet, odds are amazing. Don’t get me wrong, HellRaisers are still slight favourites here, but Vikin.gg can definitely win this. Those teams are kinda equal right now.

This will be a fight between two top teams from group A. OG are holding 1st place with 2 wins and 4-0 in maps, while Alliance have the same amount of wins, but they have dropped a map to Vikin.gg. Every time Alliance plays, I’m more and more impressed with Nikobaby playing. His style and skill is amazing, as he is carrying Alliance in the games where they don’t look good as collective. However, this time, it will be hard vs Sumail, one of the best carries in the world. I would dare to say that Nikobaby is currently showing more than Sumail. However, OG has N0tail, and under his leadership and drafting capabilities, I would definitely make them favourites in this match. Topson is still away, and Ceb and Midone are jumping into positions 2 and 3. But that doesn’t matter, OG in their first 2 matches looked amazing, and they can definitely beat Alliance. I don’t think that Alliance’s fng can show enough quality in this match, as in the previous matches he has been their weakest link.

For me, this will be the most interesting match of the day in OGA Dota Pit. VirtusPro, a CIS powerhours is placed as the last team in the group with 2 losses, and they desperately need a win in this match to have a chance for the playoffs. Team Liquid is not looking any better, with 1 win and 2 losses they are in danger if VP takes them down. An interesting fact is that in their last 2 matches in the last 10 days, VirtusPro didn’t manage to take a map off Team Liquid. Liquid did beat them 2 times in the last 10 days with clean 2-0 results. However, things in Dota 2 change very fast on a daily basis. Sometimes you are on the top, another day you are on the bottom. That exact situation VirtusPro had a few days ago vs their VP.Prodigy team. Their academy team beat them with a clean 3-0 in the grand finals of Epic League. That wouldn’t be a surprise if VirtusPro didn’t beat them in their last 3 clashes easily. I would say both teams are struggling right now, Liquid is looking bad too with losses vs Secret, Alliance, NiP and VP.Prodigy, and they are looking for another start of the win streak. However, I do think this match will be much closer than the odds are suggesting. I really do think VP can take down Liquid, but Liquid can take down VP too. There is some nice value in VirtusPro ML bet here, even though Team Liquid is favoured here because of their match history vs VirtusPro.

Team Secret is hardly losing any map lately in any of the tournaments that they are playing. There is just no team in Europe that can match Team Secret’s drafts and gameplay. With 2 wins they are at the top of the group B. They won against Liquid and VirtusPro with 2-0 scores. However, even if Team Spirit managed to take a map off NiP on Monday, I wouldn't bet on them today that they can do something against Secret. They are on a big losing streak, they have some standin players as their lineup is still not complete. There is just no question here who will win this match. Anything other than 2-0 for Team Secret would be a real surprise. However, Secret is such a big favourite that even odds on 2-0 victory are surprisingly low.

GL! Risky bets ofc!

OG had a perfect opening in OGA Dota Pit. With their 2-0 win over HellRaisers, they are currently holding 1st place in their group. Let’s just say OG is playing this tournament with an almost full lineup. Topson is still away, and Ceb is replacing him. MidOne is back to the OG lineup, even though it is playing in a slightly different position. Vikin.gg played 2 matches already in the group, and they have lost both of them. 1-2 vs Alliance and the same result vs FlyToMoon brought them to the last place in the group currently. I do think OG are a way better team, and the smartest bet here would be OG ML bet, in case you find decent odds. Vikin.gg are struggling a lot currently, and I wouldn’t be surprised if OG 2-0 them.
HellRaisers is currently playing very badly and I think Vikin.GG will be able to win against them too if they meet. But I agree that OG showed a very good performance in their first match, so they will surely win if they have a good draft. Maybe doing a live bet and waiting for the draft is a safer option for this match.

I would say that this match is more even then the odds are showing, let’s say around 60-40 for Alliance. Alliance has 2-1 win vs Vikin.gg in the round 1, while FlyToMoon played 2 matches already and they have 2 wins. Same 2-1 win vs Vikin.gg and 2-0 vs HellRaisers. Alliance lost recently to Liquid and Secret in EU competitions, while FlyToMoon was fighting with both VirtusPro squads evenly (main and academy), but they failed to win both matches. FlyToMoon is rising in form, and they are looking better than ever. I would say they have the play that can surprise Alliance. Surely they can take a map here, and if they will have a good day they can even beat Alliance for sure. Alliance is struggling in some matches, even they are winning and I would say their position 5 replacement player fng is not contributing to the team as much as they would want it.
I think Alliance is a tryhard team and they will do their best to take at least 1 map in this match so I will go for Over 2.5 option. I'm just not really sure with FTM ML because they haven't met the tier 1/actual strong team in this tournament.

Team Secret is just on fire and there is no team in Europe that can beat them at the moment. Currently, they have 1 strong 2-0 win over VirtusPro, while Team Liquid are at 1 win and 1 loss. They have beat Team Spirit, but lost to Ninjas in Pyjamas. Can they beat Team Secret on Monday? I don’t think so. Team Secret is just on the another level compared to all other EU/CIS squads. They have 5 wins out of the last 5 matches, while Team Liquid struggled and lost matches vs teams like Alliance, NiP, VP.Prodigy. Even if Team Liquid is looking better and better, I doubt they can take a win here. Maybe if Puppey does bad drafting, Liquid will be able to take a map off, but there is more chance that Secret will crush this match with 2-0 too. In the last 5 matches, they’ve dropped a map only in one match.
Yeah, team secret is consistently very strong and they only have choke moment in TI. I'm a little bit worried because they just had a grand final match yesterday and maybe it will affect their performance in this match but Liquid isn't currently on fire and the Secret ML odds is too small  Grin.

I’m pretty sure that Team Spirit is very close to being pressured to do something with their lineup. Change a player or reorganize their squad. They are on a big losing streak as out of their last 5 matches, they have 0 wins. In their OGA Dota Pit group they have 1 loss vs Team Liquid. On the other side, NiP are struggling sometimes, but they are showing signs of an amazing team. I do think their lineup has a decent potential for the future, they just need more work. They have 2 wins in the group, one vs Liquid and another one vs VirtusPro. Amazing performance from them in the start of this league. However, in their last match vs Team Secret, we could see how their struggle is real vs a top team who can read the game much better then them. I do believe they could 2-0 Team Spirit and continue their winning trend in this group. Odds on that are amazing. Much safer bet is a NiP ML win.
NIP looks quite strong recently and they will be able to score 2-0 especially if they use their meepo strategy. And Team Spirit is just not as good as in the last ESL LA tournament.

[DOTA 2] After a few days of pause, OGA Dota Pit is moving on with a playday 3. Monday matches will feature some really amazing clashes between EU and CIS teams. Let’s closely analyze all 4 matches.

OG - ViKin.gg: OG -1.5, 2.09 @ MY BETSLIP
Alliance - flytomoon: flytomoon, 2.67 @ MY BETSLIP
Team Secret - Team Liquid: Team Secret -1.5, 1.63 @ MY BETSLIP
Team Spirit - Ninjas in Pyjamas: Ninjas in Pyjamas -1.5, 1.99 @ MY BETSLIP

Damnnn, this Chinese Doto haha.

VG just lost against IG 2-0 yesterday and today RNG lost against Aster with a 2-0 score too. What a coincidence  Grin

Does this normally happen in league concept competitions? Or maybe there will be another banned team in China region  Roll Eyes

Thank you for the info. I would say there are certainly able to have favorites if you have a team you know which is very good at a particular map, or if the other team is very shit at the map. But yeah for me there cannot possibly be a home team BUT for me it is the team on the left. Now I know the right side team picks the first map, I suppose I should say I went for the "away" team!

Others: what are the rules for who picks the maps? That could help us making our bets!
You're right, I also meant to say the left side has the first priority in the pick and ban phase. Currently there's no rules but I think it'll be based on rank and the lowest gets the first pick and ban because that was the case in the closed qualifiers last month.

With the odds of Astralis so low because of the one map advantage i'm thinking of putting their odds in a three legged parlay, the other two would be Team Spirit on the RtR CIS finals and VP at the Epic League finals for a total of 2.2.

[CS:GO] My ESL One: RtR picks for today:

Hard Legion - Winstrike: Over 2.5, 2.03 @ MY BETSLIP
GODSENT - North: Over 2.5, 1.99 @ MY BETSLIP

I do believe both matches will go to 3 maps. Winstrike and Godsent are surely favourites, Hard Legion and North can pull off a maps for sure.

GL!

This was real close to working out for Hard legion. Played well in the first winstrike map.

But they kind of melted on their own pick map, even though they were favourites.

Thankfully after round 1 I put a small hedge bet on Winstrike to win map 2. Knowing that it would kill my accumulators. So I recovered all the stakes.

here comes the gank:

In case anyone cares, the other day I created a General Esports thread so that fans and bettors here in the forum can have a place to chat and discuss picks, that way we could leave the tipsters threads (like this one..btw, good job @rand1919, by far the best esport tipster in the forum) a bit cleaner so that we can see their picks & overall record/performance much better.
But, y'all free to hang out in whatever thread you want  Cheesy Cheers!

OK guys, I never come in here but there's a new 5 BTC free competition at FortuneJack so I want your opinions. I already put in my predictions, heavily backing the home team (there is a home team right haha).

It's called CS:GO dreamhack. And I guess you can sell the skins if you win them: https://beta.fortunejack.com/promotions/cs-go-dreamhack
There's no home team or favorites in CSGO since it's played online. Cheesy I don't know the veto phase in dreamhack but on other tournaments it's usually the team on the right side that bans and picks their first map. Sometimes the first pick and ban priority goes to the team with the lower rank or it could be done with a coinflip depending on the rules.

Yea, all proper teams. OG.Seed is an academy team (2nd squad) of OG, everything else are proper teams.
Yes, they are team 2 of OG.

But I suggest to have a second thought of betting with them because they have not been stable with all the tournaments they've joined.

I cant recognise many games today, they are all spread out in different competitions and leagues (below the ones I can recognise) I remember you said some teams have a first second and even third team, but that is not really clear. Are these all the proper teams?

Epic Prime League

Team Spirit vs Fly to Moon 13:00  UK time

Cyberbet cup - EU

Viking.gg vs OG.Seed 15:30 UK Time

Isolation Cup

Nemiga vs Team Unique 16:00 UK Time

GWB

OG vs NaVi 17:00  UK time

Team Secret vs Alliance 20:00  UK time

Oh here's an interesting one. 1/200 I haven't very often seen such an extreme favourite. Though the flipside is only 16/1 maybe they not so crazy confident

Welcome to Chinese Dota  Smiley

https://www.reddit.com/r/DotA2/comments/gk5ih4/newbee_banned_from_participating_imbatv_events/

"There has been much speculation about various teams the Chinese tournaments fixing matches, and Newbee's success as an organization has dropped significantly since early 2018. Sources have said that the match fixing has been going on since the departure of Sccc, and Fenrir, with the organization losing swiftly in some Tier 3 events in the playoff stages. With everything returning back to the online tournament environment, the spread of match fixing continues to be a rampant issue within the Tier 2/3 Dota 2 scene."
Dang, one big news in Chinese doto.

The glory days for Newbee was already done. I don't also understand why they've become a weak despite being one of the best in the world. This will be very hard for them once Valve steps in and gives them another hammer.

What if Sccc and Fenrir have already smelled this before that's why left?
Avengerls have a huge lead but instantly lose the fight to Newbee, how is that possible?

I guess they already knew about it 'cause if they're really pro players, definitely it will hurt their pride since they're always doing their best for the team but realizes that there's a match-fixing happening. After that, newbee was banned but why Avengerls is not banned?

There's a thread about the existence of match-fixing these modern tournaments and this news is the answer to that.
I believe in comebacks but when I have watched this match of Newbee and Avengerls, I didn't think of it at first. But after realizing that Avengerls could have ended the game or at least take some racks with their line up, they should've won the game.

Morph + Void could literally have destroyed the tier 3 towers with their supports, enchantress army, and tiny. The plays were obviously staged if you will try to take a look at those chronos and misplays. I haven't read anything about Avengerls but let's wait if there will be a translated version of their statement.
