These pro playing gamblers have lost our bet.  Undecided
Well done to Execration, I guess that putting faith on them against the Mongolz later might be worth it. I still have one bet to conclude today and that's Talon and Boom, I hope Talon recovers my loss yesterday and win the match as of typing this.  Smiley
Talon kept it clean as they got a tight 2-0 win against Boom. I still like Boom for today's lower bracket finals against Mongolz, but the odds are leaning heavily on their side and the over could be worth a try considering the Mongolz are not that far off from their level.

Hopefully, we get another Boom vs. Talon matchup later on so we have some good odds for the grand finals.

Yes, we're on this both mate. I hope that Kukuys wins the game against Exe later on. You've got a slightly better odd but we're both for Kukuys as the match winner. So, good luck to us.
Kukuys failed us after they bounced back on the second map. It was a complete outdraft in the final map and the game state was like waiting for the inevitable when everything went in Execration's favor.

I have found a chart showing the 2024 prize pool for top esports games.

Do you see how close DOTA 2 and CS are? I wasn't expecting to see the gap this small honestly.  Smiley  Because we all know how big the prizes in DOTA 2 competitions generally.

Probably due to the TI prizepool was so much lower compared with 3-4 years ago. CS2 has alot of tier 1 tournament with atleast $500k in prizepool along the year while dota2 has less, dota2 has around 4-8 tier 1 tournament across the year alongside TI so yeah thats a huge different. Well its not a secret anymore than dota2 enthusiast has grown lower over the course of year so thats probably one of the reason

Seeing League of Legends in 7th place breaks my heart truthfully. In the past I don't think the situation was this bad. But it looks like the game is losing its popularity. I also watch MSI and Worlds competitions only.
In the past, Dota's prizes were very high, even very little compared to CS prize pools.
Now, the prize pools are almost equal. I never thought League of Legends would lose its popularity one day, it was very popular and the majority of the people I know who play the game play League of Legends.
I wonder what Riot will do now, how Valorant and League of Legends can stay in this league.

For me, the impressive part is how Dota 2 is still at the top even with the smaller TI prize pool. I'm a bit concerned for CS2 though 700+ events in a year is crazy.

League's esports scene is in a good spot IMO even with the smaller prize pool they're still pulling in one of the biggest viewerships. They don't offer that much prize pool because from what I know they financially support the teams as well.

And despite that lost with Kukuys, I am still betting on them against Execration. So two bets I have, one for the upper bracket with Talon and Boom but I'm going with Talon and the other lower bracket with Kukuys and Execration.
The odds only went up slightly for Kukuys, but I still think they should take care of Execration who didn't look good in their series against Mongolz and even threw one of their games when they had the tempo.

Anyway, if you are fond of betting on underdogs then you might want to splash some on Team Secret +1.5 against Avulus. I totally hate teams that still have these older generations player on their roster because for me it seems like these old folks dont even know when to stop because they are totally ruining the teams so I might not bet on them
Nice heads up on the Team Secret spread, I too would just avoid whenever i'm not confident or at least wait for the drafts to come out incase one of them tries an experimental lineup.

A nice odds with a good roster and hopefully, I'd hit it this time.
Not a nice day, lost this bet.

Moving on, with the Fissure closed qualifiers in SEA, I've bet for Kukuys against Boom Esports.

It seems you lost this bet

Avulus on the other hand is a huge favourite to win, Avulus -1.5 is on 1.68 which is pretty low for my taste to even bet on so Imma skip this
Yeah, I've lost that bet. I am currenty looking at the SEA bets because this is where the unexpected results comes from. I used to bet with Avulus too but I've decided to bet on a few for now. And if you did bet for Avulus, they've won against Team Secret.

And as we wait for some actions again, I'm taking a bet with the EPL Season 22. This is a tier 3 tournament and I've bet for Team Greece against Team Turkey because I am more familiar with how they play and the odds looks fine for me.

This isn't some country to country tournament though but they've chosen to name their names as representative of their respective countries.
At first glance, I thought it was one of those national tournaments and it was just a coincidence that both teams used their country names.  Tongue
Yeah, I thought of that too as well but looking at the participating teams, that's just the name they've chosen. I'm very familiar with the Team Greece, they're like one of the best several years ago and quite good still in date.

Despite Team Greece being 0-2, they should get their first win here as Team Turkey seems to be a level below based on their results from the IESF WEC.

The games should get better tomorrow as we have some closed qualifier matches for the FISSURE tournament.
Yup, that's what I've seen when they're against something that I have never seen before. So, that could be an advantage for Team Greece since they're all experienced but still, we don't know. In dota 2, twists do happen.

That's fine, if you ever won with BB, are you going to bet with Team Liquid or Parivision? anyway, Parivision got this. Congratulations to them, they really are strong.  Cheesy
If my bet went through i'd probably take Parivision their odds were too high to be the underdogs at around 2.30 and I think Team Liquid only became the favorites because of the momentum.

Parivision deserved that win and it was nice to see Noone winning another trophy, it reminds me of his time with the prime VP squad back then.
I agree, Team Liquid got the momentum when they were against BB and that probably has set the odds for them against Parivision. Well, I wasn't the typical me that bets on the odds at that match and believed on Team Liquid but that's fine, Parivision deserves to win.

That's still a nice try and BetBoom ended 3rd place. If you have a bet on the grand finals, good luck to us and to our friends here that are just silently watching this thread.
If only my BetBoom bet won i'd probably make another ticket, but I just sat this one out and I was surprised to see Team Liquid being the slight favorite.

We're already in the grand finals and I have started to bet on the map 2 but I'm still Team Liquid even if it's only 1.26 odd. They already got a 1-0. I hope they don't choke.
Unfortunately, they couldn't hold on to that early lead and bit more than they could chew. The first ten minutes felt like Team Liquid was going to run over Parivision and go up 2-0 if it weren't for them overextending.
When the map 2 started, I thought that Team Liquid was already on the lead, taking first towers from top to bottom and that strategy probably have been working. But then, that's the disaster started. 9class was so good with that nyx, why didn't they respect ban that? They should have banned that on 3rd map. From 1-0 to 3-1 done by Parivision, my bet lost but that's fine.

We have reached the final round in Shanghai Major. It is going to be between Spirit and FaZe in BO3 format. Who is your favourite?  Huh

According to bookies Spirit are favoured for the championship. Let's take a look at the odds:

Spirit => 1.68
FaZe => 2.15

Except Inferno and Nuke, statistically Spirit are more successful with win rates on the available maps. As for h2h games, we see them being a few steps ahead of FaZe also - 10 W, 2 OT, 4L.

Spirit have a BLAST World Final 2nd place achieved lately. They are really strong. I also believe they will be the winner here.
Faze has once again done wonders on the Nuke map, they play really well in this map with good control, they know what to do both in defense and offense.
Taking down FaZe in the final with a spectacular performance from Donk. The future of FaZe roster looks unclear.
Although Karrigan has made it clear that he will not retire, we may see innovations in the Faze team in the future.

I'm attracted to the odds for Team Liquid, I hope that BetBoom won't lose my bet since I have bet for them as well.

Well done Team Liquid. Smiley

Parivision was able to beat BetBoom, that's nice of them although my bet lost since I am for BetBoom but I am happy that this no one's stack is doing it. Whilst for Team Liquid, we're never wrong with that. They've got more in the roster that has more experience than of Team Liquid and as they have moved on against BetBoom, this is I don't know who I will bet for, maybe Team Liquid then
BetBoom fumbled that series and even got outdrafted in the third map being forced to pick an unusual Juggernaut carry after Parivision focused on banning nearly all of Pure's heroes.

I never doubted Team Liquid on their series yesterday, it felt like the writing was already there after they took out Team Falcons the other day.

For the lower bracket final I have to back BetBoom over Team Liquid, their loss against Parivision makes me think they'll waste no time on setting up a rematch in the grand finals.
