Hard Legion - Natus Vincere: Natus Vincere -1.5, 1.53 @ BetOnBit
Virtus.pro - Espada: Espada 1.5, 1.51 @ BetOnBit
GODSENT - Movistar Riders: Movistar Riders 1.5, 1.46 @ BetOnBit
c0ntact - FaZe: FaZe -1.5, 1.57 @ BetOnBit
Cloud9 - Liquid: Liquid -1.5, 1.94 @ BetOnBit
FURIA - Gen.G: Gen.G 1.5, 1.58 @ BetOnBit

All matches are BO3, and all bets are very risky. Most likely like all ESL One matches last days.

[DOTA 2] My picks and bets for WePlay Pushka Division 1 playoffs today:

Ninjas in Pyjamas - Virtus Pro: Ninjas in Pyjamas 1.5, 1.73 @ BetOnBit
Alliance - Natus Vincere: Natus Vincere 1.5, 1.49 @ BetOnBit
Team Liquid - Team Secret: Team Secret -1.5, 2.37 @ BetOnBit

All matches are BO3. I do think that today is very risky day and so are the bets, especially if you go for handicaps. Value in ML bets is very low to none, if you go on favourites of course.

It's really difficult to predict esport games. The inconsistency is very high.
You said it so.

And there's also joy if you are the type of bettor who likes against the odds matches.

This is what I have been doing, but only 1 underdog say a pretty even match so its 50 50, that may have odds of 5/6 then I add a few should win teams and get about 4.65 which is nice odds if the first riskier one comes in. But when a few teams lose it takes out all my bets.

With my experience in esports, there were upsets that's amazing and at the same time disappointing if ever you have bet with the team that lost which seem to be the favorite of all. And there's also joy if you are the type of bettor who likes against the odds matches.

Like with the underdog teams that's less favored by the book and the crowd. The beauty with esports is that every team can compete and win, it's just a matter of experience, grind and the number of mistakes in-game.

Oh wow lots of the favourites got badly raped today.

Yeah, even it's happening in both esports games which are Dota 2 and CSGO. Is this a coincidence? Grin

But actually, in Dota 2, the favored teams did not have much difference in performance from the team they were against (based on the group stage result).

I don't think it is coincidence. Since COVID-19 started all tournaments switched to online and players are playing from their homes. It makes a lot of different to the game approach and mentality... Some teams are relaxed, other teams are having fun or are just better online. Etc... This lockdown changed a lot of things, and inconsistency is one of them. That's why it's lot harder to bet currently. There are no favourites and underdogs basically.
This is true, there are huge differences playing on-stage and online. Recently, in CSGO, I bet on Astralis in ESL pro league 11 but didn't expect that they will lose to mouz. Those who bet on Fnatic were very lucky and that's already a proof of inconsistency during online tournaments. Some have a good internet connection and the others have some average speed that depends on the server. There's a lot of factors that must be considered in online tournaments so better not to bet on your teams right now and be tactical.

I had a few bets on fnatic that went well.  Thanks for the tips.

In normal times do the teams usually sit together? so they can call out for help and stuff without skype or something?
During these times, when the tournament is nearby, they are already practicing at the HQ of the team. Pro players also have their bases so that they can train with each other. It's hard to rely on discord, which is a gaming voice chat platform, or other voice chat, as others may not hear your voice clearly because of a poor internet connection. It's always easier to play with one another. But if the team composed of different people from different countries, it's really hard to play, there's only a few confidence on that scene,

I never watched or placed a single bet on esports before this COVID bullshit that stopped my favorite sports so I don't know how it looks in normal times. The fact that there are no favorites and underdogs works very good for me since bookies often post one team as big favorite. As I already said betting handicaps on underdog is my favorite way of betting and it works perfectly in these conditions. I only missed Aliance game today since I had it as over. All other mentioned bets I had +1.5 on their opponents and that passed easily. Too bad I didn't play them as single bets but on various multi bet tickets so I ended the day with positive 0.

This was me too. I do put some underdog so as to ramp up the bets. But today that approach failed royally

Yup, almost all of the underdogs in today's games won. Really bad for those punters who bet on favorites. Looks like the bookies will have a very great day today.  Roll Eyes

Man that was harsh I had about 4 accumulators relying on NiP

I was on for about £25

Lucky I put a hedge on OG at 0-1 so I got about £6 as a hedge.

Still disappointed I could have cashed out 17 and I would have won about £25

Another lesson learned.

Lets go.
