I think ethereum earns it's titles as next to bitcoin because it's advantages and it's market cap. Ethereum may be able to compete to bitcoin but ethereum can't replace bitcoin and stay it's track like bitcoin.

ETH is no doubt one of the best coin in the entire crypto market and that it is gaining the attention of so many investors especially the ones who are interested in either day trading or short-term investment of money. We can’t deny the worth of bitcoin and that ETH is not that much good that it can compete with bitcoin in any way and that bitcoin is the best coin amongst all other coins.

It is difficult for eth to cool the bitcoin because from the market cap side is very far behind. A very small amount of bitcoin supply where the maximum amount of only $ 21 million then makes the price jump sharply every time. Unlike the eth that does not have the maximum number.

Bitcoin will remain the number one coin in the world of cryptocurrency, and ethereum in my opinion is also a good prospect for the future because ethereum is currently really used to raise the startup funds through token sales in their token sale, it shows that ethereum is really useful and I am sure we will see ethereum will show its fangs in some future time.

I see a great potential from ethereum coins since the price of eth has already reached to $1k dollar last month and if bitcoins might really surpass the price of $50k dollar before this year ends then there's a huge chance that ethereum might just reach $5k so keep on holding your coins.

eth does have enormous potential to compete with bitcoin. but in the price issue, I do not think eth will compete with bitcoin, because bitcoin has a very high price for now. but in terms of functionality, I think eth is superior, because the price is affordable.

Many people think so, and for the longest time, people think that Ethereum is the second-best coin next to Bitcoin. Although some other coins may have a better value like Bitcoin Gold or a better movement rate like other altcoins, many people have come to see and know the reliability of Ethereum and the path it took leading to its status now. People really see it as a good alternative investment, especially when Bitcoin is not doing good couple with other altcoins. So, it can really be considered as a good investment.

Market cap of ETH is secondly of crypto market so there are many investors who are believing that ETH is going to be the next big thing.
Indeed, If we look at the technology then ETH is better than Bitcoin, transaction is faster, ETH have smart contract which will be applied in many field of the life.
But the price of Ethereum is hard to reach to the price of Bitcoin because circulating supply is too much more 98 milloins and still increase up).

That's a good analysis mate because Ethereum is already prepared in terms of infrastructure and technology, every short coming of bitcoin, are being studied and corrected by etherium. That’s why time will come Ethereum will surpass bitcoin.

Ethereum coins today does really have the potential to grow its price and maybe surpass the value of bitcoins in the market and that's the reason why i am starting to look on different potential of altcoins because maybe in the future, there will be an altcoin that will exist who can take the position of bitcoins as the number one cryptocurrency.

That has always been the consensus amongst many people here in the forum and all of those that venture in the cryptocurrency market. For the longest time, Ethereum has shown good signs and a good path from when it started up to the present. Although its gain has been slow, it also showed good signs of being a reliable and enduring as a coin, which is the very reason why many people trust it and put big amounts of it in their portfolios.

Well so far this year Ethereum lost 45% against Bitcoin. I wouldn't bet on ETH unless it shows some sort of general positivity and gain vs Bitcoin. Vitalik better perform some techical miracles with ETH if you even want to discuss ETH vs BTC...
Always learn from the past and analyze. We can expect ETH to grow definately, however i'm not optimistic about beating Bitcoin %-wise.

Yes, Ethereum is next to Bitcoin but Ethereum will not surpass Bitcoin. Bitcoin is the king of cryptocurrency, and ethereum is just an altcoin meaning alternative for bitcoin. Ethereum will not overtake bitcoin when you see the quality of those two, and the price bitcoin will win.

I think when the time will come that cryptocurrencies are take over dominance, there will be 10 or 15 coins and the two of them will be Ethereum and Bitcoin. Etherium is a platform that I think can compete with bitcoin not in terms of price
but in terms of foundations or systems it has so Etherium is worth mentioning the next bitcoin

Yes I also think that ETC is next to BTC because as of now ETH shows a good price compare to other cryptos but all I can say is that ETC is only next to BTC but it will never pass the huge value of BTC.

Bitcoin is a cryptocurrency. This digital currency works without central bank so the transaction take place between the users directly. It can be exchange for other currencies,products and services.

And Ethereum is growing very fast. Also the fact that it provide a platform other than crytocurrency attracts so many people. Ethereum is both platform and cryptocurrency.

For me Ethereum cannot overtake the Bitcoin in the future because much more investor in the Bitcoin than Ethereum.
