It is like we are sharing the same thought, because the advent of Ethereum on Block chain Technology is very strong and it is following the Bitcoin. Even if ETH can not outweigh Bitcoin, it is still next to it and shall still continue to rise in value rapidly soon with the speculated boom and bull markets effect.
I just created this thread to gather opinions ..

it seems that it will not happen because bitcoin is so different from Ethereum but it could be that Etherum is competing with bitcoin because Ethereum's development is very good and can compete with bitcoin.
as I think, maybe the price of ETH will not pass the bitcoin price this fast. but this year I think ETH will grow more than bitcoin.
This is a definite thought, but it does not, but the reason we should trust it. As long as Ethereal's price still list on Bitcoin, it continues to go after Bitcoin can not overtake it. But I can still believe that Ethereum will achieve half the value of Bitcoin. 
ETH was deployed using smart contract while bitcoin works with blockchain technology, ETH is a good alternative to bitcoin in terms of investment with a high market capitalization, however ETH cannot take over bitcoin as it is now investors are gaining more confidence in it.
At this very moment, the only coins which are most widely used and the ones in which most of the investors really trust are none other than that of bitcoin and ETH. Both are indeed the best crypto coins and that they are also helping so many people in having a lot of earning by investing in these coins. ETH is also a very good coin and that it can no doubt help you in making you earn money and that it holds a secure future too.

Eth will not pass bitcoin but this year eth will grow more than bitcoin in term of profit percentage because 2018 will be the year of ICOs and there will be much more ICOs on ETH platform. Ethereum is next to BTC?
Nope, I don't think Eth has enough power right now to remove Btc from its throne as the King of Crypto, that's pretty obvious right? As we can see, btc was still able to maintain a huge gap on price between eth and other crypto despite of its continuous downfalls recently.
But to be honest, I still see potentials on eth. The most common wallet used here in our country not only now support btc but also eth, therefore, this is definitely a good news because we can conclude that the demand for this coin is now increasing.
Not it doesn't but the good thing is that ETH doesn't have to. ETH is one of the best projects in the cryptocurrencies market this is one of the reasons it is the second coin in the market cap, the only problem is that despite its huge market ETH is mostly used as an investment tool to invest in other coins while bitcoin is still more used as a currency. But to be honest, I still see potentials on eth. The most common wallet used here in our country not only now support btc but also eth, therefore, this is definitely a good news because we can conclude that the demand for this coin is now increasing.
Well for me i think eth is the next bitcoin. Its making his own name so far. Its very popular and its price. Maybe this year it will boom.
i think eth will new btc,many coin use smart contact of eth and trading is faster,now i also hold only eth,i hope eth will grow up again
Ethereum cannot be the new leader of the crypto market. It can simply stand up next to bitcoin as usual but could never ever surpass it in anyway. The market that bitcoin is holding is the largest one at the moment and all altcoins including eth are dependent on bitcoin for any increase and decrease in their values. I am ready to put all my bugs on this that ethereum is not have enough potential of overthrowing bitcoin. I just created this thread to gather opinions ..

There are chances for it. We have news on ETH stating that Ether would gain threefold value by end of December 2018 with the support of its small contracts. They are working on forming small contracts which would in turn increase the value of Ether. Need to wait and see what happens. But we do have other competitors like; Maker, Bitcoincash, Dash, Neo, Monero and Zcash. Lets see what happens.
I believe that ethereum can take the position of bitcoins in the future because there are a lot of people who are really interested on investing on ethereum today and last january, ethereum managed to reach 1k dollar so we can rely on ethereum for our future.
ETH has always been the coin next to bitcoin. It's second only to bitcoin and I think it will continue this way. There are a lot of loyal investors when it comes to ETH.
I suffered from btcs a loss of 56% once 
and from then I lost faith on those crypto
Make no mistake while I'm sorry for your loss at the same time bitcoin didn't make you lose money the one that lost money was you by taking a bad decision and probably buying at the top of the market, you must remember when there is a lot of hype around the coin and everyone is like you need to buy it or you are going to miss out on the profits that is probably the time to sell and if you do not have any then that is probably the time to wait until price decreases. and from then I lost faith on those cryptoas I think, maybe the price of ETH will not pass the bitcoin price this fast. but this year I think ETH will grow more than bitcoin.

Ethereum got blockchain also and it is like the different blockchain compare to bitcoin. Ethereum is a very good coin to have for long term because its smart contract designed system is great in the long term since the projects or ICO that are being created are more under the blockchain of ethereum so it will pay off in the future once ethereum is fully used in a lot of projects as a gateway of payment.
ETH and BTC are two very different cryptos, though both occupy the top spots in the crypto pyramid, BTC is still the highest ranking coin and will not be replaced anytime soon, ETH is a good coin with reasonable project plan , but Bitcoin is still the one, the gap might be closed but BTC wont be replaced.

expect ethereum to have a higher value in comparison with bitcoin, but I think it is very difficult, because when the bitcoin price falls, the price of ethereum also often falls. unless there is a further development of ethereum.

I have no doubt that ethereum is one of the most reliable cryptocurrency besides from bitcoin, and i do believe the ability of ethereum to create a higher value in the future, just like in bitcoin. But it can't surpass the bitcoins ability, it might reach the market value of bitcoin at this rate, but it can't surpass bitcoin even in the future.
I think to make the ETH next to it BTC will take a long time. Currently BTC and ETH values are very far apart. But I admit that ETH is now gaining in popularity and attracted many bounty programs and signature campaigns that paid using ETH.
why not ? ETH is in second place based on the market cap. it already happened, ETH will replace smart contract in the future. ETH need more times to prove its existence and no doubts in several years will take over BTC position as the first position, there are many factors within it. the technology and ETH platform are awesome. with the cryptocurrency was growing significantly. more investor will use ETH technology to make a smart contract and more it was utilized make it prove its existence
The truth is there is no permanent thing in this world except change, I believe that cryptocurrency will make a good change in the worldand since bitcoin is the most popular now, we might see it to continue to be on top but there is no assurance that it will not be surpass by other
cryptocurrency, ETH has a good chance of course that is why a lot of people are also investing on it.
