For me I rather and will definitely choose ETH. Because its has more potential than XRP. People have trust on it and it was the most commonly used by ICO. So with this case, the demand of ETH will increase day by day. And you will be more be benefited through passing days of investing in the market.
Believe only in Ethereum. I don't hate xrp, but it is not my favourite coin. Just because it is not a true decentralised cryptocurrency like Ethereum.
I don't think they also claim they are decentralized coin.
XRP compared to ETH is more successful, that is solely based on the price history, but then it's up to the investors what coin they will choose.

Let us settle this part first; no coin has the establishment enough to replace bitcoin. The only coin that still come close is ETH. Yes, Ripple team are constantly working on their platform and likewise the ethereum developers are on their toes to make their platform better as well. These are two separate blockchain with different use case. I believe they can both thrive in their respective ecosystem.
These both coins really had potential and its been a long years live in crypto. Now as you can see they're still stand and try to recover from what they had lose last year but, i dont think they were comparable into bitcoin because we all knows bitcoin has come long way and bitcoin is the first blockchain and the first who made a history that reached $20,000, so for me, nothing bets bitcoin.
Q.E.D. As for me, this is a very high figure. Ripple is a very strong and self-sufficient coin. I am sure that in the future she will definitely succeed.

First of all I don't think bitcoin. would run out due to the fact that it could be mined besides there is also currency exchange occurs in market. With regard on who is more profircient between the two is I would go on ETH because it is more becoming more popular day by day due to widely used of ICO's that could make it more attractive. However, XRP is undeniably good to invest as well thus it will make it a close battle but Regardless of that I don't think they could surpass the BTC. we have to think about the prospect of the crypto world in the future, until today BTC has a function to stabilize the crypto world, but what happened if supplies BTC runs out? is there another crypto that can stabilize and maintain the existence of the crypto market?

Both altcoins will not give up their positions and will constantly fight for the most popular altcoin after bitcoin, so we should expect incredible technologies from both altcoins that both teams are already working on, so in the future these altcoins will grow in price and demand for them will constantly increase and we should not choose between them, it is best to invest in both altcoins.
Whatever interpretation you have it's your decision to make, investment wise both coins are inside the top crypto inside CMC which can be a good idea that both coins will be there staying behind Bitcoin, each time bull comes up chances that both coins will be lifted and increase it's Fiat value, so holding both will be a good option.
ETH is still, in my opinion, probably one of the most used projects, so I think that there are no options at all and I think that there is an opportunity to invest in XRP today, despite the fact that prices are still high.

this can never happen, eth nor xrp can can surpass btc. Come on, this is an easy one,I think it's Ethereum. Ethereum has the super big Dapp support, soon to be POS and is Bitcoin 2.0. Ethereum took the resourcefulness of Bitcoin and made it better. Etheum basically laid the foundation work for similar projects like it. I remeber when ethereum was first being sold, I skipped over it because I didn't understand it's use-case. I understrood what a smart contract was, but didn't see the bigger picture. I felt like I missed the second coming of christ, when it mooned. 
To date, I don't see the benefits of xrp other than the speed of transactions. But this is not true, the velocity of the eth is enough for our market and judging by the rumors, soon eth will solve this problem.

If you choose only with these two coins. Then I prefer ethereum. As for me, it is more perspective and profitable than ripple.
XRP is a very strange coin for me, because it is on the market very high and very little traded, what is the point of it, if it is used mainly by banks, I also choose ETHThe circulating supply is deceiving, majority is held by their foundation and a lot of wash trading is going on with XRP. Ripple isn't something I would buy for a long term investment but it may pay off to swing trade it during this next bull run. It has a lot of hype so it may do another 10x and reach 3 dollars once again but that is the time to dump it.
Both of these projects are working and promising, but no one can move bitcoin from the first place!
I will definitely take ETH. It is more potential than XRP. People have trust on it and it is mosty used by ICO. So the demand of ETH will increase day by day.
If ICO will revive it's popularity again, maybe it would be a great help for ETH to rise again, until such, ETH will struggle to rise like it did in the past. Though ETH is good and trusted more compared to XRP but XRP is undeniably one of the most profitable coin to invest.
Ethereum and XRP, they both are very good and revolutionary for this whole blockchain and crypto ecosystem. Ethereum is one of the first platform based token. And now they are most used platform. And XRP is used for money transfer and banking realated staff. The problem is they are very different form each other so their is nothing to compare between them. The only thing they are fighting for is the market cap and the market position. For market is in deep the price of this token is very cheap. So those who invest in this kind of coin now they will surely give some profit in upcoming days. Cause as a project they are very good. Just hold whatever you get.

No, I think ripple will never replace bitcoin. This is not the coin that can become the leader of cryptocurrency. Also ripple will not be allowed to the level of popularity ethereum.
