Not really. Once BTC reaches a high, people look to book profits.
They may convert their bitcoins to fiat or other alts as well. This could benefit the altcoin market as a whole.

That maybe true ... but I think Ethereum has still not had the true capitulation carthartic moment where it goes back <$3 and everyone is saying "Ethereum is total shit" and "doomed to failure", etc, etc (you know all the things they were saying about bitcoin at $156 Wink

) before it can rise again.

I've sold mine and actually didn't get as much profit as I wanted too, however I still believe ETH will be the clear winner this year, BTC is just going nowhere and hype about ETH won't die that easy. With that being said I agree that unless there are some major announcements or deals in the next days the downtrend will continue, maybe even testing 0.02 but most likely will be around 250-280k. I think this would be a great place to get in.

However with ETH, I won't be surprised if it hits $20 by next week, really. It all depends on news, if tomorrow Xapo says it is accepting Ethereum you know what will happen...

I'll wait until I feel satisfied eth high prices because it is not enough for me personally but I am going to buy eth as an investment even if only in a hefty amount will be sold at favorable prices

With the recent pump and then the dump of bitcoin price it was the perfect chance to invest in ethereum (if we knew it).

Because the eth/btc exchange rate was low and now it is high which makes the traders accumulate more bitcoin than before.

Yeah it's impossible to lose money right now for us crypto heads...all new money coming in...

Not sure when BTC's party will be over but I think these last spikes could signal the end of the bull trend. I've been saying the same since the 800s, so I don't know anymore...

I bought most a little below that at 776k exactly when I saw that first huge spike then add it more at 820k...but honestly, who knew the bottom really? it's very hard to predict and the same is happening right now? when to take profits? what is btc doing? it will continue to go up forever or a flash crash is coming before chinese new year? We really don't know, I'll hold for now since if this is the bottom there should be a long way up from here, but the honest truth is that there's a lot of uncertainty in all markets, it can go many different ways and very fast.

yefi, what's your target price for this? 0.015? I think 110-120 is very realistic in the next days the way things are going.
