I don't think that is the reason that ethereum is so popular, ethereum is a good coin by it s own rights and merit and that is one thing that has made sure that the coin has continued to garner more support. It is the altcoin that showed people that there can be a coin besides bitcoin that can pull in large number of investors at a time I think people are too stress with BTC decreasing, then they sell BTC out to buy more ETh.

i don't agree with you opinion, the decline in BTC prices will not affect ETH, Ethereum prices will increase but not because of a decrease in BTC, but increased use of the ETH Platform in the Crypto field which will be launched in various fields of cryptocurrency products in 2019.
