Actually the price of Ethereum is down for a whole different reason. Not the scam projects are taking it down, but the successful ones. I think that the managers are dumping a lot of Ethereum is order to keep their tokens above water.

Yes you are right Eth has became so popular , but I dont think its because of btc price decreasing or increasing. Many people who uses crypto to make payment are now choosing Eth over Btc because the transaction speed of Eth is much greater than Btc , so tine saved and also the transaction cost of Ethereum is much lesser than Btc.
