Hi folks. I'm new here but reading this forum for a while now and came to a point that I can actually contribute a bit myself.

I did tested this so called 'beta' driver on a rig with 6x Gigabyte RX580 Gaming with Afterburner 4.4.0 beta 16 (to define core and memory clocks).

None of the antivirus software that I use found anything suspicious in the driver itself and it seemed that the driver had correct AMD sig on the files.

In terms of MH/s:
- driver 17.10.3211.1031 which I use as the most stable on my rig gives me now ~171MH/s which gives 28.5MH/s on average per card.
- this "DAG fix" so called "beta" driver however brought my hashing power to ~178MH/s which gives 29.6MH/s per card.

I installed beta version of Afterburner before playing with the driver to eliminate potential changes in afterburner itself. This comparison was made on the same claymore version (9.6). Cards have moded bios which is underclocked and undervolted as well as memory timings tightened.

In terms of "does it work" - short but silly answer is YES. There is a price for it however. That price is the fact that the driver ignores core voltage settings on all power stages in the custom bios which in this particular rig results in 200 watts extra power draw from the wall. I was unsuccessful with trying to set my own voltage in claymore, wattman, watttool and afterburner - driver completely ignored given settings.

In fact the small uplift in MH/s that I saw might have come from the higher core voltage itself rather than from a "fix" (!).

Also the core clock was not stable after applying settings in afterburner and was fluctuating up&down by few MHz from the given value.

From my point of view this driver was a great way to waste time.

You trolls don't understand, this is the unofficial beta release. I have been playing with this driver for a while and I can say it has been pretty solid so far. It has few bugs here and there but I managed to figure many ways to deal with them.

So there has been an unofficial beta driver around for a few days. I also saw another user claiming he was testing it.

I'm still skeptical a little bit but my hashrate is exactly the same as before and effective hashrate is better than ever.
Unless this robinhood is some sort of evil genius with nothing better to do I would say the driver is legit.

I have 4xrog strix rx570 4gb oc and I have make all new and the claymore start mining but the gpu 0 yust broke and the system frezze what can I do? what can I use for core clock and memory clock temp limit ? gpu 0 open cl error and than frezze and restart the system

Or maybe he just knows how to use blockchain explorer to check accounts all by himself?

There were moddified drivers before what increase hashrate, so it can be scam and dag issue could still exist... did anyone do benchmark for larger dag size?

It's interesting that you can say that. Now i'm wondering because it is either:

1. You know or are a close friend of robinhood for you to know that fact.
2. You are robinhood.

Are you using newest Claymore? You may try AB or WattTool.

Is it Logic for hacker to fix a driver and inject it with 0 day.   while AMD the creator of the Driver couldn,t do it ?

Anybody able to get the clock and undervolting parameters working under claymore with this driver?

actually the point here is whether the drive could fix the DAG issue or not. even if the driver could backdoor or mine unnoticed, the main objective here is to see if the DAG issue can be fixed.

so if this driver can backdoor and use someones GPU to mine for them, and even if the temperature gets high. i think this means that AMD could fix the DAG issue once they released the official driver.

so if your old driver could give 100mhs, and this driver could provide 110Mhs, even if that 10Mhs goes to this hacker or whatsoever. it only means that DAG fix is real and possible.
and it is best to wait for AMD to release their official driver.
people here are curios @papasmurf1337 and would like to see the difference, so it is advisable to use it in your dummy rig to see the difference.

so if your assumption is true that means that the DAG fix is TRUE. it just that it is mining for the guy who created this driver.

and the issue that people are complaining here are bugs that AMD should fix. this is my opinion as well... 

I have 1 Saffire 480 ref,2 nitro+480 and 3 nitro+ 470. I had to much trouble getting these drivers to work. I tried the msi beta and trixx. Also, tried editing claymore .bat. They did improve my hashrate. The problem was I could not overclock correctly. Using hwinfo to view the correct speed. The cards were just all over the place on memory speed. Sometimes claymore would change the speed on a few cards but not all. Trixx did nothing except fan control. Wattool does not even show the gpu clock or memory speed. I am greatful they are released. I just dual mine dcr and make about the same as my cards at 29.
When working I noticed my memory speed repeatedly falling to 300 for a second or 2 and then jumping back up. That was with eth onl and dual mining.

We will just have to wait for the original AMD driver, and that's it.
If the new AMD driver will really fix this DAG issue then this driver is 99% a legit beta.
If not, well.. then we got punkd

I guess robinhood already earns quite amount of money from his employer or other source. The reason he put his wallet there was because he had to put some wallet there, if he had not then it would be too suspicious. So he is acting like a normal guy who just got this from a friend and is sharing which I doubt is the truth.

Pretty sad that so far nobody donated anything. Greedy miners.
