Right now it seems more logical to prefer altcoins instead of eth. There are coins that earn almost 100 percent every two weeks. Their yields are very high. Those who caught them won an incredible win.
I think it's better to invest with ethereum, because ethereum has great potential besides its users are also quite large. considering ethereum has a smart platform with the ico project, this allows us to get a big advantage if we invest in coins or projects that use the erc20 platform too.

Talking about profitability, we don't know yet and that's the risk in investing. Maybe we could be profitable but we have to be willing to risk our money and maybe wait, and waiting is sometimes frustrating
when the price is moving like we have seen it the past year, therefore we should continue to be stronger to face the challenges of holding.
If I'm not mistaken ethereum is altcoin.

Very wise opinion, indeed now in an uncertain situation it is better to be careful to follow ico because many are now scams, or at least many are losing money because the price received is below the price of ico, so it is not profitable but loss. for investment it is clearly better ethereum than new altcoins that have not entered the market.

Personally, I prefer holding Altcoins especially those with very large supply and very low price but with a decent position in the CoinMarketCap, this is preferable to ETH but that doesn't mean that I don't hold Ethereum as well.
The market is in turn, so to invest in Ether and other higher-quality altcoins, or better on BTC, which is also down. Investing in any coin as long as it's high quality will still be profitable.

Hey guys what do you think? Is it better to hold ether or altcoins? I think alts are better because they can give you more profit, however it is quiet risky to hold them.
I think what you mentioned is both the same, ethereum and the other are altcoins. So both has the same chance of profit. and it would be different if you compare Bitcoin and altcoin, if that the case, then i will vote for altcoins. Purchasing altcoins means we have more chance of getting more profit than purchasing bitcoins.
The market is not stable and the conditions are collapsing. And to trade I prefer Altcoin. Even though the market price decreases but if we get a coin that is low and has potential. When the price of coins rises, of course, the results are also very good.

It is not certain that ETH will always increase after each year. Look at 2019, January 2018 ETH is worth more than $ 1000 and now ETH is just over $ 100 so you can't confirm it, for me ETH is a great altcoin and worth investing but It is still quite dangerous compared to bitcoin

Ethereum is a good project, but the developers have been updating their platform for a very long time. I don't hold a lot of eth coins in my investment portfolio. I think ethereum has serious competitors.
