They are funded for years, so they won't have to sell any of the foundation's ethereum. They could sell their personal stash but that's not related to foundation's money. I can feel you're starting to regret buying ETC as you can see it slowly being dumped.

They are not funded for years. Last year there was already news that they are running out of funds. This was when they made the Frontier release of Ethereum. Vitalik was calling out for more support from the community. It was almost like he was saying that he is leaving part of the development with the community because they cannot continue it anymore.

Their burn rate is high. I do not know how they spend all that money.

They were short of funds last year as they have a lot of Ethereum and the ETH price was low. Now, even the ETC price was higher than last year's ETH price. So they are rich now.

I think the Ethereum Foundation has to sell the funds to pay for the developments and other costs.

It is better to sell the ETC now as the price is going down.

Hi everyone, I've been around for a while now..
I've seen a lot of posts positive and negative about Ethereum.

At the moment I am holding Bitcoins, but I have invested in some Ether as well.

Now I am wondering, what are legitimate concerns about Ether (except for IPO, as I've already read this in a lot of posts).

So can anyone bring real other issues to the table, to enlighten me (and maybe a lot of other readers?)

Thanks!
Ethereum is doing well right now. Its price is good, so why not keeping it? This year, altcoins is doing great. Its  a good way to start keep ethereum while you can afford it. Some people were saying this will an alternative for bitcoin.

The price may be good now but it will not be in the future. The Ethereum foundation is running out of money and they will have to sell their premine soon to fund the platform's development. So that means the price will again go down because ETH is really weak in the market right now.

Actually ethereum is much more than a new altcoin, and as innovative project I think it has an interesting future. So I think it may be a good option to invest in long runs despite the pessimistic rumors prevailing in the internet about the future of that altcoin.

The Ethereum has a Foundation and has some funding for the further development of the coin. That is different from other coins.
so far what's the foundation and fundings had done by the way, bitcoin doesn't have a foundation and fundings but could grew up fastly,so if ethereum have those two,i guess it can grew much faster than bitcoin isn't it?,but unfortunately didn't see anything big happen until now

The Ethereum has the proper foundation and has a lot of money than the bitcoin. So the development will be much faster than the bitcoin.

The coin has a technology with potential to be adopted by several companies in the real world,
but there is a lot of instability atm and the direction being taken is uncertain.

The coin will likely never be adopted by companies in the real world. If blockchain technology and smart contracts are of use to companies they will utilize the technology of bitcoin, ethereum and any other similar system for their own use and closed network.
Current public blockchains will not be used by the existing financial system. They will create a new coin if it benefits those currently in control.

i think so, btc will be adopted by companies real, just wait if eth can be like btc or no? hihi

give it  a rest.

both can survive in this world,

eth forked pissed off a lot of people, face it.

etc is the original blockchain, truth

now lets watch this play out and remember that bitcointalk is full of shitty, greedy people that would sell their mothers to gain status

peace

ETC could survive as a mineable coin, like many small altcoins. But not many big business will support it.

If it is not supported by business, it will be like many other scam coins. It will be dead very soon. So it is a pump and dump coin now.

The price of the ETC has not risen in the last few days. And the volume is also decreasing. Does it mean people are losing interest?
Honestly there is no interesting in that coin its just 2.0 of ETH but eth still remain in the second in bitcoin in the top 100 places..
Also some etc i think are converting back again in ethereum,..
eth is not going to be second for long, etc is going to be way stronger and its price is going to grow at a very rapid pace, im holding etc

When the Ethereum Foundation dumps the ETC, the price will be much lower. It is just a pump and dump coin.

That could be right. But we will not know the final answer for some time. Maybe we will know that after a few months.

The intention of the Ethreum Foundation is not clear now. It might sell some ETC to cover the development of Ethereum.

The intention of the Ethereum Foundation does not matter. It will have to sell the ETC to support the development any way.

If the ETC price is high and the  the Ethereum Foundation sells the ETC, then it can have more money to do the developments.
