For the time being, I do not buy or sell. When the price drops to $6, I will buy. When it rise to $15, I will sell.

the time to buy and time to sell ethereum comes and goes so fast.

so right now may be good and another second may be bad, but i think at this stage it is generally a bad investment to go in ethereum but you can still risk it and take chances and look out for the dumps.

Traders won't abandon this coin in 1 or 2 days. ETH has too much volume and big holders need a few more pump before they can sell. My advice is to buy ETH on dips and sell on pumps. ETH was less than 0.017 a week ago but now it is higher than 0.022. All the 'bad' news that ETH is closing their website is used by whales to accumulate cheap to sell later.

I agree partly of it. Whales can pretty much sell now and take a good profit. Even better is the volume working out for them.
I do think the bad news is meant to influence on the price though.

As I sold my all the ethers, it's value has started to increase once again! Shocked It looks pretty simple, whenever I buy a coin, it's value decreases, whenever I sell a coin, it's value increases.

Anybody else facing this feeling?

Lots of people, and not just here. In fact, one of the oldest stock-market barroom jokes is: "Want to become rich on the stock market? Just sell what I buy and buy what I sell. Do the opposite of me and you'll be loaded."

(It's funnier after the fifth beer.)

This is kinda a dumb thread since there are already like 15 of them.

I'm a presale buyer who sold way too soon (but it still put me in the green from crypto).   I'm keeping about a third of my stash in case I'm wrong but

. Almost all good news that CAN be good news at this stage has hit and much of it in the last 2 - 3 weeks.

  . Visual Studio integration
. Coverage by major news outlets
  . Announcement of new projects

. Ethereum is shutting down their official forums.

. Ethereum is still at almost at 70% of it's all time high.

. All bitcoin bad news that is possible has happened (not going to scale on chain - centralized blockstream / Chinese miners control).

Long term I'm still pretty bullish on Eth but their team is making some dumbass decisions.  On the supply side I believe 60 - 70% is still held in presale wallets (buying cost was between $0.30 & $0.40).

Make your own descision but in my opinion the likely hood of ethereum replacing bitcoin in the short term has gone down from what it was a month ago.  The short term downside risk looks much greater than the upside potential.

Ethereum will never replace Bitcoin.. anyone that is realistic about things knows this already.
Now, does Ehtereum have a niche usage that Bitcoin can't fill? That's yet to be seen. Bitcoin can make Ethereum redundant thanks to sidechain technology, if the need for weird smart contracts that cannot be done under Bitcoin Script ever arises, but most smart contracts will be done under the elegance, simplicity and ligth-weightiness of Bitcoin Script.

Sold all my Ethers at 0.019 BTC... Got like 20% net loss BTW.

Sorry to hear your lose. The Ethereum price has dropped quite a lot. If there is some more application, the price might rise.

With this cryptocurrency thing, we should be ready for any sort of loss, honestly. I risked the amount of which I could bear the loss of. Not more than that.

I wouldn't actually do that if i were you. the old coin is getting old and devs are tired making it look like its going to skyrocket any moment. it went less than 0.009 lately, they may pump it a little but don't expect it to go 0.02 again.

unless it goes back to 0.004. but for now, you can go invest to newer coins instead.

I'm not planning to hold ETH for long term till the btc halving , after that I may hold ETH
so far ETH looks good for day trading but for long term in my opinion nothing is clear , it may be better to just hold bitcoins at the moment

If you still have it then sold it now before the price goes down very deep! Ethereum time has just ended right now as all atlcoins will. Hold altcoins such Ethereum for long time is very risky. It is better to avoid buying Ethereum nowadays.

If I understood the technology,  I could probably give a much better answer--I think there's potential there,  but I'm not sure how valuable it should be.  If ETH was a stock, just based on the price action I would venture to say that it's a buy.  In other words,  I'm a typical ignorant speculator.

dont worry, only vitalik understands it but not entirely
no one else on the planet can understand it
thats why goldman sachs created ethereum
if u can replace financial system with another system nobody understands but they all hype thinking DECENTARALIZED! NO MORE EVIL GOV.
then u won  Grin   WELCOME TO THE BEGINNING.

Is it time to buy ethers or just sell those which are already in pocket? Any idea?

About ETH my idea is to not touch it for now, except if you have some information about future rise. For me eth is hot coin and if you don't know how to work with hot materials then you can burn your hands.
I don't have so much experience in trading and I will stay away from eth for now, I will wait for clear "sky" and then I will made some decisions. There was to big drama about this coin and we all saw that fantastic pump and then fall.
If you already have coins, my advice for you is too keep them safe and wait patiently.
